Albania: Pro-Gaza flotilla arrives in Albania in support of 'Flamingo Revolution'.

VARIOUS OF ACTIVISTS DISEMBARKING FROM BOATS / ACTIVISTS BEING WELCOMED WITH SONGS AND CHANTSVLORE, ALBANIA - AUG. 21: Several dozen Italian and Albanian pro-Palestinian activists traveled from the Italian port of Brindisi to Vlore, Albania, on Friday, Aug. 21, in support of the “Flamingo Revolution” protest movement. The activists traveled aboard several boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla, which were damaged and left adrift by the Israeli military during the flotilla's previous mission to Gaza. The voyage coincides with the 35th anniversary of events in Vlore, when thousands of Albanians seeking asylum arrived in Italy aboard an overcrowded ship. Children of some survivors of the 1991 tragedy returned to Albania aboard the flotilla boats to show support for the “Flamingo Revolution,” a protest movement that has been mobilizing since May 16 against the sale of the island to an investment fund managed by Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump's son-in-law.
