Participants carrying anti-ICE banners lit candles in memory of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero before marching through the city to call for transparency and accountability. The memorial was held at the "Nuestras Historias" mural in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood and was organized by local advocacy groups, including the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican national living in Houston, Texas, was killed after ICE officers opened fire on July 7. Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero, a Colombian national, was fatally shot by ICE officers in Biddeford, Maine, on July 13.
