All right, best day of the week, jump day
0:05
I got my caffeine ready to go, 200 milligrams. I drank my ibuprofen because my meniscus has been a little bit swelled up
0:13
I do not recommend doing that. But yeah, super excited. This is going to be the dunk session with Jordan Kilgannon
0:22
Been looking forward to this for a pretty long time. I am expecting a pretty good jump day for me the reason being is this is technically a deload week
0:35
from the stretch shortening cycle that I just finished last week I literally jumped four times
0:40
in a week dunked lifted hard and then I unloaded from all that and usually when I unload from that
0:46
frequency of jumping I fly and then not just that as you guys saw two days ago I did 295 on the
0:54
power clean, which for me is really freaking rare. I'm about to do a legal ass UE. Um
1:03
yeah, for me, it's pretty freaking rare to, uh, freaking power clean 295. That's like all
1:11
time strength levels I been missing that weight last month literally Uh so all the signs point towards pretty decent jumping day um you never want to keep your expectations too high because it possible to disappoint yourself um but i
1:27
pretty confident i'm gonna fly and then not just that the competition aspect is going to be there
1:30
so this is a a rare session with kill ganon like both of us were essentially one and two in the
1:38
world you ask anybody who the best pro dunker in the world is they'll say either of us
1:42
and he's one of the few people that I actually truly feel competitive with
1:49
which should be really fun. If I am feeling like best ever type of day, I'm going to test my vertical
1:56
I brought my Vertex. If not, I'm just going to try to work my way through my dunk list
2:03
I could not sleep last night. I literally woke up at 3.30 in the morning because I was excited to jump today
2:07
and I just started writing down all my dunks that I wanted to try for this session
2:12
I feel great injury-wise, aside from the meniscus, which I'm not worried about because it hasn't been bothering me
2:19
when I jump or train. It's literally just when I go into full flexion. But I took the ibuprofen just to be completely safe
2:25
and I'm not expecting to have any big sessions anytime soon. I not really Oh you slowly creeping into the shot Nathan Yeah it way you couldn know that This is Nathan by the way What up Nathan he a THP athlete has been on for four years and he actually works for us now
2:42
So he does our support. So if you ever have any, like, complaints or anything like that, or, like, any customer support type stuff, you're going to be talking to Nathan
2:52
But that's pretty much it, everybody. Go ahead and like the video real quick before you forget
2:57
And I will catch you guys in the dunk session. All right. So if you follow me anywhere on social media, you've probably seen what I've jumped today
3:08
And I'm going to spoil it because you probably already know. But I tested 50.5 officially. Here we are measuring the top of the vertex at 12 feet and 4 inches
3:18
When I tested 50.5 originally in 2022, we actually didn't measure the vertex
3:24
which has been the biggest point of contention against the vertical that I tested
3:29
So even though at Dunk Camp, I did choose the straightest, most vertical vertek here
3:34
So we had Satyar hold it straight. We measured the top of it at 12.4
3:39
And then I proceeded to try my best to touch the top of it
3:43
So first jump got 47.5 inch vertical. This jump right here I got a 48 inch vertical And then so on and so forth all the way until I tied my PR at 50 What really interesting is that my flight time on the 50 inch jump was actually 0
4:01
For reference, when I originally tested 50.5, I believe my flight time was 0.972
4:07
And I landed with a really high configuration, which means that this is by far the highest I've ever jumped in my life
4:15
And what's really cool, it's officially one year, almost to the exact day, I think like a year and two weeks since I tore my IT band
4:23
So I went from tearing my IT band to my highest jump ever and actually the highest jump of all time, which is really, really cool
4:30
And I want to give a big thanks to John actually for helping me achieve that. This is an official world record
4:36
Dak tested 50. He touched 12.3 and I just touched 12.3 and a half
4:41
And yeah, I'm feeling really confident with my jumping right now. I am actually going to plan to get Guinness out to dunk camp 2024 so that they can be there in person and actually get this jump on life
4:55
I think if I do this with a lot of adrenaline in a show, I think I could go 51 plus
5:00
And I'm really confident. I mean, I broke it two times now, so I'm really confident in that. So thanks for watching, guys
5:06
And this is in the end. Like the video and keep following my journey to 51 and beyond
