So I think the changes are evolving fast and they're evolving quickly
0:09
And I think most of us are aware, and if we're not aware, we need to be aware that the adversaries are adapting, right
0:16
The use of the AI, the use of machine learning, quantum, you know, these things are all making very real progress
0:23
And some of them are making real progress in the wrong hands. And so we need to be prepared to defend against that, and we need to make sure that we're putting products and solutions out that are going to protect the warfighter and keep those missions secure
0:33
So when we show up someplace and got to do something we got to do, we don't need anybody else knowing about it
0:38
So there's a couple things. I think that the days of past where we would put a box or a solution or a product into the field, and we felt pretty good that it was locked down, it was secure, people are not going to break into it
0:49
I think those days have kind of gone behind us. So I think what we have to do now is to put products out that are adaptable, are scalable, and are flexible
0:56
And that means that we may be learning about adversariales that are making advances in certain areas that we have to thwart real time
1:03
And so we need to have platforms that can accommodate that Now we have to get really smart on how we integrate layer two and layer three so that we can handle these big backbones these cloud environments all those big data centers They
1:16
going to be trying to push a lot of information, a lot of data through. They've got to have bigger
1:19
pipes. They've got to have 100 gig, 400 gig speed. Otherwise, we're not going to get real decision
1:24
making to the warfighters in split seconds when they need it. And I think we're here to help folks
1:29
set those networks up and help them to get there. So I think there's a few fundamentals that people
1:33
need to think about. I think scalability, I think footprint, I think efficiency, I think adaptability
1:39
really is critical. So I think the days of putting a sort of an end road solution in place is done
1:46
right? You have to put products in place that can sit on the network and can be upgraded and updated
1:52
whether it be speed, scalability, different algorithms, different software updates that are going to drive more security. I think that's just all critical. The other thing too is you
2:01
You really got to think about the organization that you're getting engaged with. The way we're structured, right, is we have account executives that sort of own clients
2:08
if you will, right? And that's not they own the client for the sale of the product. They own the client from the beginning of the definition, to the implementation, to
2:15
the after fact on how things work when they in the network And we support that with Solution Architect Engineers We salute that with a 365 day 24 seven call center And all that level of support is critical
2:28
So when you need to make those changes, General Dynamics is there to sort of make sure
2:32
that those happen. So the way we're addressing the need is we're bringing to the market today
2:36
what's called a high speed ethernet data encryption product, which is made up of an ASP chassis and a 100 gig
2:42
and a 400 gig line card. And those can be hot swappable while they're in the IT infrastructure and backbone
2:48
So we're bringing that level of IT kind of technology to the Warfighter
2:52
What that's going to do is it's going to change the evolution of crypto. And that's not where we're going to stop
2:56
We're going to continue to do that with next-gen keyloader products, next-gen Lincoln crypto products
3:01
and a whole host of other things such as Taptis and other VPX products. So by us continuing to adapt and continue to adopt and bring these products forward
3:09
this is what's going to prepare the Warfighter, that we can make changes quickly, we can do it fast, we can scale
3:14
we could be flexible and we can do it in a way that's going to be much, much, much more firepower for the ComSec needs, but in a smaller footprint
3:22
I think it important for the Army to act now because the threat is real the threat is here and the threat is today You know what we doing today is going to defend against that today but more importantly what we going to do is provide products they going to defend against tomorrow so the need is real you know the enemy is real the advancement that the enemy is making
3:41
us real and we need to get going i mean we need to accelerate i had an old mentor back in the days
3:46
when i used to work with some of the three-letter agencies that always used to say to me you know todd the crypto secret really is we have to just keep changing the magic trick we've got to keep
3:55
changing the magic trick they start to figure it out we got to keep changing the magic trick
3:59
we used to be able to do that put something out there for a number of years and we were good to go
4:04
that's not the case today so it hasn't really changed we got to continue to change the magic
4:08
trick we got to do it faster and we got to do it in response to the threats we see that's the
4:14
difference i think in the landscape today and that's the difference that gdms will bring to
4:18
the customers come talk to us come talk to my team you know i have a whole dedicated team of
4:22
engineers that do nothing but sit down with customers, whiteboard up what their network
4:27
requirements are, really try to get an understanding of what their end state is for the mission
4:31
what they're looking to accomplish, what they're looking to defend against, and we'll help customize solutions. And as always, we're more than happy to come to you
4:38
Just let us know, and we'll be there
