Semantics is the meaning of words and sentences. Pragmatics is what a speaker means in a situation, which can differ from that literal meaning. This video separates the two in language and in computing.
The same sentence can be read one way from the words and another way from context, tone, or intent. In software, that gap shows up when a system handles only the text and misses the situation. It is not the syntax video.
