For Christopher Nolan’s 2026 project ‘The Odyssey’, one surprising rule was reportedly enforced: no UGG boots on set. Actress Anne Hathaway revealed that she once arrived wearing the cozy footwear, only for Nolan to look down and simply say, “Nope.” She quickly switched back, and the boots never returned. Nolan later explained that UGG boots were distracting because they represented modern life rather than the historical world he was trying to create. Speaking to CBS, he described them as “a signifier of modernity,” explaining that even small details could pull actors out of the reality of a scene. Marvel has taken a different approach to protecting the franchise’s biggest secrets. To stop major plot twists from leaking, some actors reportedly received incomplete scripts or even fake pages instead of the full story. During an interview with Gizmodo, director Joe Russo explained the decision, saying, “It’s important for us that we protect the story at all costs.”
