‘Practical Magic’ has stayed popular for decades, but what have its stars gone on to do since the original film was released? Dianne Wiest, who brought Aunt Jet to life, continued her acclaimed screen career. She won an Emmy for her role in the drama series ‘In Treatment’ and later appeared in shows like ‘Life in Pieces’ and ‘Mayor of Kingstown.’ She also returned as Aunt Jet in the sequel. Aidan Quinn, who played investigator Gary Hallet, continued taking on detective and law-enforcement roles in shows such as ‘Third Watch,’ ‘Prime Suspect,’ ‘Elementary’ and ‘Blue Bloods.’ During an interview with the Irish radio station Spin 1038, Quinn said he would have gladly returned for ‘Practical Magic 2,’ but that he wasn’t asked. Then there’s Evan Rachel Wood, who played Sally’s young daughter, Kylie. She went on to star in ‘Westworld,’ voice Queen Iduna in ‘Frozen II’ and portray Madonna in ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.’ Wood did not return for the sequel, with Joey King taking over the role of Kylie as an adult.
