American Express and several other Canadian banks offer a variety of AIR MILES credit cards. Let’s look at AIR MILES Credit Card by Amex basics: - No annual fee - Earn rate is 1 AIR MILE for every $15 spent at AIR MILES partners - 1 AIR MILE for every $20 spent on everything else American Express AIR MILES Card Benefits/Features/Perks - Extended warranty - Purchase Protection (90 Days - $1000) - Amex benefits Earn Rates Analysis There are other credit cards available that offer better earn rates than American Express AIR MILES Card. For example, the BMO AIR MILES Mastercard offers 2x the Miles for every $20 spent at AIR MILES Partners. So is the Soby's AIR MILES Mastercard (at Soby's stores). So American Express AIR MILES Card does not do well because you will get better rates with the above 2 cards I mentioned. Last Word I don't see why the reason why someone would want to get the American Express AIR MILES Card when the BMO AIR MILES Mastercard and the Soby's AIR MILES Mastercard offer similar features and better earn rates.
