Classic Filipino Leche Flan. Easy, Creamy and Delicious

A rich, creamy, and smooth custard dessert topped with a golden caramel sauce.
Leche Flan is a traditional Filipino dessert derived from the Spanish flan. It was introduced to the Philippines during the Spanish colonial period and has since become a staple in Filipino celebrations.
Ingredients:
9 egg yolks
1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Prepare the caramel:
In each llanera or flan mold,over low heat, dissolve around 4-5 TBSP of sugar until it turns into a golden brown caramel. , tilting them to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks gently.
Add the condensed milk and evaporated milk. Mix well.
Add vanilla extract and stir until well blended.
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any lumps.
Assemble:
Pour the custard mixture into the caramel-lined molds.
