Why Were Andrew & Tristan Tate Arrested In Florida?

Controversial influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested in Miami, Florida, after UK prosecutors issued 38 new charges against the pair. According to the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Andrew has been charged with seven further counts of rape, as well as charges related to sex trafficking and indecent images of a child. The CPS announced that Tristan is being prosecuted on one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The brothers are polarizing social media influencers with millions of online followers, known for their promotion of misogyny, fitness, and flashy displays of wealth The latest charges are in addition to 21 original charges brought by the UK against the Tate brothers, including both rape and human trafficking. Malcolm McHaffie, head of the Special Crime Division at the CPS, said the service has requested the extradition of the brothers, who are dual British-US citizens, from the US to the UK.
