How to create mockups in Canva for Etsy. Hey guys, welcome back. In this video, I'm going to show you
0:05
how you can create mockups in Canva for Etsy digital products. So let's get into it. When it
0:12
comes to Etsy.com, when you are creating a listing, we can actually add different photos. You can see
0:18
we can upload up to 10 photos to show our items' most important qualities, how it looks like
0:24
and we can add different mockups too. And when we are selling a digital product, for instance
0:29
you're selling a wall art or a digital printable art, we cannot just upload the images because
0:36
this is an image that we are selling. We want a downloadable file. We just don't want people
0:41
to download the image and use our art. So we want to save our art and just show people how
0:48
it will look like on their wall. So how we can actually add an image here then. So for that
0:53
we create mockups. And how you can create a mockup for free is actually really easy. You can
0:59
use Canva.com. Canva.com is a designing software that allows you to create digital art. You can
1:05
edit your logos, create presentation, edit your photos, and do much more for free. So you can
1:11
create an account on Canva.com with your email address or you can use your Google account and
1:16
you will get right here. It's a free platform and you can use it online. So here we can create
1:21
different mockups for our digital art. How you can do that, you just get to Canva.com and in the
1:27
search bar, you're going to search for wall art mockup. So at first, what we used to do is we
1:33
used to kind of like get images from Google too. You can find these kind of images on Google. You
1:39
will get like any image with a, you know, painting on the wall and you will get a mockup image. All
1:45
you need to do is now just upload and add your image, your wall art to your, you know, mockup. So
1:52
this is what a mockup looks like. For instance, I have a wall art and I want to show you how it will
1:57
look like on your wall. So this is a pretty good example of a mockup and this is what I was
2:02
actually looking for. I want to show them that this is where the art will go. For instance, we have
2:08
this one right here. All of these mockups are actually for free. This one is also a really
2:12
good mockup. You can see it's like a painting next to a plant here. So let's use this one. Click
2:18
on customize template and it will take you to your Canva canvas to add your, you know, image. So here
2:25
we have our mockup image. Keep in mind, this is not the art that I'm selling. My art is going to be
2:30
within this frame here where we have a text. So this is an image that we're creating to add to
2:36
our Etsy listing. Now what you need to do is you're going to go, all you have to do is just go to the
2:41
upload section and upload the art that you are selling on Etsy. If you have an image of that
2:48
or if you have a wall art created. I actually create my wall art with Canva. There is already
2:52
a video on the channel how to create digital art wall art for Etsy. You will be able to know how to
2:58
create one and then you can, you know, create mockups as well. So what I will do is I will
3:03
click on upload file and upload the files from my computer. For instance, if I show you I have
3:08
created this wall art on Canva and what you will do is you will, and instead of downloading it as
3:15
a PDF, this time I'm going to download it as a PNG so that I can add it to my mockup
3:20
So this is the same art, but I'm downloading it as PNG. Once it's downloaded, now I will upload
3:26
So this has been added. You can see this is the image. You're going to select it and it will be
3:31
added to your, you know, mockup that you are creating. We're going to get rid of this text
3:36
that we have here. Make sure to not add it in the background or anywhere else. Just select the image
3:43
and it will be added here. Now what you're going to do is you're going to place it here in your
3:48
you know, frame that we got and you will adjust the size according to the frame. You're going to
3:53
make it a little bit bigger and, you know, that's what I'm doing now. You're just going to move it
3:59
a little bit and this way you will just adjust the size like this. So you can see this is what
4:05
it looks like. Perfect. So this is my wall art mockup and you can see this is what my art will
4:12
look like next to your plant. So this is what I'm showing you. I'm going to add another one. So let's
4:18
go to the design and it will have the same designs and we can search for the wall art mockups too
4:24
and it will give me some of the other mockups. So this time I'm going to go for a wall. This one
4:30
looks really nice. So I'm going to go with this one. Again, we're going to get rid of the text
4:35
that we have here and we will go to our uploads and select our image. It will be added and now
4:41
all we need to do is just adjust the size according to the frame like this. So you can see this is
4:47
what it looks like on your wall and this is my art next to your plant. So these are the mockups
4:52
that we create on Canva for free. Now all you need to do is just download these images. I'm going to
4:58
click on download and download these images one by one. Instead of downloading it as a file, I'm
5:04
going to click on done. Click on download. The page one will be downloaded. Similarly, I'm going to
5:09
click on share and this time I'm going to download the second page. Now I have two mockup images
5:15
created with Canva for free. Once your mockup images are downloaded, you're good to go. We're
5:21
going to actually get back to our Etsy. So here I am creating a new listing for a digital products
5:26
on Etsy. So create a listing, add a photo. We can add up to 10 images. I'm going to add the two that
5:32
I just created. So I'm going to click on add image and select the first image that we created
5:38
There you go. You can see this is the first one. Then we're going to add the second one. So you can
5:42
see these are my mockup images for my wall art. This is how we add these, you know, mockups to
5:48
Etsy. Now I can scroll down. So now I will just complete my listing, add the different details
5:53
the title, description, and when it comes to the product type, I will select digital and upload my
6:00
PDF file into my digital, you know, art without worrying that people will just download the image
6:06
and use it. So now I just have the mockups to use and I will be able to show people how my art will
6:12
look like and sell more products. This is a pretty good way to save your art. You can also add a
6:18
thumbnail. So even in the thumbnail, what you can do is you can create a mockup like this and instead
6:24
of using your art originally, you can create up to like 10 mockups if you want to with Canva. As
6:30
I showed you with Canva, we have a lot of different mockups here. If you do not have a wall art, you
6:35
have something else you can get a mockup for that too. I went with these, for instance, if I go to
6:40
design, we have all other mockups too. We can add like two images in the same time. And if you have
6:46
different wall art, if you have different angles, you will be able to show more than one angle as
6:51
well. So this is how you create mockups in Canva and use them on Etsy. So now I will be able to
6:57
save my file and upload the PDF file too. Now I'll just complete my listing actually for my Etsy and
7:04
sell my wall art for $20 or even $50 that the wall art that I created on Canva for free. And
7:11
then I created the mockups to use and create my listing. So yeah, guys, this brings us to the end
7:18
