Hello everyone, I'm Vaibhav Rajbani and I hold the record title for the greatest distance
0:10
cycle, no hands. So ever since I was a kid, I really loved cycling and going to different places and
0:17
meeting new people. So one day I browsed through the Guinness World Record website and that's when I came
0:21
across the greatest distance cycle with no hands. So I've been training for the past 5 years to break this record and I used to go to
0:30
college and also work. The only time that was left for me to train was in the night time
0:35
So I would train most of the times from 8pm and it would last up to 3am or 4am
0:43
During these 5 years, I started cycling for short distance first. So I used to cycle for 30km and after my base strength was built, I started doing long distance cycling
0:53
So I would cycle anywhere from 70km to 100km. And as I was training for this record, another guy ended up breaking the record and set a
1:01
new benchmark. So I had to train even more to break this record
1:09
So once I started the record, there were a lot of things that were going on in my mind. Like how am I going to do this
1:13
How is it going to happen? Will I be able to do this? Will I break the record
1:19
The thing is that there were a lot of people who supported me throughout this journey. There were a lot of family and friends who were involved
1:24
And there was a lot of pressure to even not let them down because they were so involved in this whole event
1:29
And we had also started a crowdfunding campaign to organize this whole event and put it together
1:34
But as I started cycling, after like 10km, I got into the flow and I stopped thinking
1:39
about all these things. So the hardest mile for me during the attempt was around 140km where I started feeling a
1:47
little fatigue in my body and I couldn't really move on further
1:51
My legs started shaking and they started hurting. So I kept pushing through and I increased my speed a little more and I kept my hands
1:59
on my legs and I just kept pressing them like this to support my legs to keep pedaling and
2:03
not stop. The first feeling when I broke the Guinness World Record was I felt relieved
2:12
I felt like a lot of pressure that was on me was like going down
2:16
All the people that believed in me, all the people that supported me throughout this whole
2:20
journey, I had something that I could show to them that I've done it, that I've finally
2:25
broken the record. For 151.33km in 7 hours, 18 minutes and 13 seconds with no hands
