Ground Report: UGC revises rules for Ph.D. admission, 40% of seats to be filled in entrance test apart from NET/JRF NET/JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is the exam that tests a student’s eligibility to enroll for a Ph.D. in an Indian university. But now, 60 percent of the total seats of the academic year for a Ph.D. program shall be filled by NET/JRF qualified students.
