however what I would say is um we went uh all the way from uh we saw in hman

City uh in the saon district is actually right where the cruises thing go and we went all the way up through Vietnam and

into Cambodia uh and we went Ed seen rip so we could actually go and anawat now I

haven't looked at that T I didn't get a chance to look at it so it may be that they're literally only covering a Vietnam part of the meong but we our

cruise was 10 nights however if you go in the dry season and not the rainy

season being that like I did I went in the more dry season we actually get had to get off the ship at some point um

because we couldn't pass through the uh the lake which I gone out my mind it's a

Tamp Lake there's a lake which is quite shallow um and in the rainy season the boats can cross it in the in the in the

dry season they can't so we actually got on a coach and we were coached about two or so hours away and we end up staying

in a hotel in SRE so we could then go to Anor wat so Susan what I would strongly encourage you Anor is just incredible

parts of Cambodia incredible so without looking at that ten what I would say is we did I did a 10 night Cru Ed on crossy

Europe much smaller ships than Viking not as luxurious as Viking but it was it was amazing uh there was only three

English speakers the rest were French so we actually had one guide advocated to three of us which is even more incredible um but um I would make sure

that you look at longer iies because there are so much to see I would secondly make sure that you're doing

Vietnam and Cambodia and that there is included or an extension that goes to ankor wat because that is really

one I would encourage you to take a look at um is Amber waterways do it obviously across Europe it's not for everybody

because it's very French obviously and so most the passengers will be French and it's not as luxurious as the others

um uh and there's also pandal which have these beautiful classic ships uh which

have rave reviews and I when I go back next time I'd probably look at either I

depending on the line you went on I do much more self- exloring or kind of independent touring that's probably for

have to keep do Co updates all of them are talking about how they a lot of them have already sold a huge slug of their

interesting though is it's what I do is I keep an eye on I'm seeing Cruise Lines

near a shy and all that um and they were doing a promotion which had lots of stuff bundled in like they had all

they were doing second person's travels free promotion and so I effectively got a solo rate uh on that which is a

reposition when it goes from New York uh through Canada uh to Greenland couple of

other thing I've done for example is I've booked a repositioning on Silver sea which I really want to do try their new ships crazy expensive uh normally

and so I've done again a reposition from Tokyo uh sorry from Seward in Alaska

go go to Japan a cherry blossom time because it's obviously a magical time of the year now it's becoming a little bit

less easy to predict um what the guys saw in Japan but it's sort of into March

April time and they sort of with climate change stuff they argue that it's becoming more you know used to be a

certain time and it's shifting a bit but that's sort of April March April time now I have been to Japan before I

actually found it quite cold at that time of year I went in October which is the end of summer it's a little bit less

busy you also the cherry blossoms I mean everywhere in Japan is crazy busy but the weather was great it's not terribly

boiling hot but it's really still nice and warm um and I really liked going in October so that's sort of the beginning

really of the season the sort of Japan season um now in terms of the best

itinerary I would try and focus on one that does sort of a circum navigation if you possibly can so I did similar uh to

the early questions I did the region one we did more the lower end but it went to iconic places so we got to go ultimately

but more towards the ptor end so not the whole route now the the train Lines within South Africa are deteriorating so

look at Rober rail I mean South Africa is going through lots of change it's got you know a struggling economy they have

lots of uh they load shedding so uh power outages uh here and there um you

know because this I guess the infrastructure side but um parts of South Africa are a little bit more risky

so when we did my South African Cruise so I know South Africa relatively well um but I been there for a long time but

certainly in some of the ports we were advised that don't go out self you know exploring like in durman for example

there certain walk of the ship and go self exploring um you know if you go to Cape Town and more the downtown Cape
