if you follow my videos you know that I don't usually have sponsors but I'm a huge fan of these Cruise maps that are
0:06
created by two friends of mine Naval architect will and geographer Matt because they are incredible momentos of
0:12
my favorite Cruisers like this fabulous Holland America South America one I recently ordered the cruise maps.com are
0:20
the only company that makes Maps using AIS satellite tracking data so it shows
0:25
exactly where your ship went you don't need to tell them about any diversions any Mis ports any route changes just the
0:32
ship the dates and the start and end port and they do the rest you can order maps for any Cruise you've done since
0:38
2015 and even pre-order maps for Cruisers you've got booked up to a year in advance of going they come in
0:45
different sizes classic or satellite style maps and all the ports visited are labeled you can order them unframed or
0:52
framed with three colors to choose from black white and natural wood the prices include free worldwide shipping
1:00
visit the Cru maps.com TFT to find out more and to get 10% off your order
1:06
that's the Cru maps.com TFT or enter TFT on
1:12
checkout hello everybody and it's a very big welcome back after the group cruise
1:17
to another live stream lots of people joining there can see who are both on the group Cruise or people asking about
1:23
the group Cruise so lots of questions to get stuck into first of all this is the
1:28
uh logo from the group grou Cruise um which is uh something that I sort of
1:34
designed a bit with a bit of help from Ai and stuff um and of course this as you saw at the beginning there those of
1:40
you were there the beginning is this is the first live stream I've ever done where I've had sort of sort of a sponsor
1:45
or so so the main reason for that is um it's the cruise Maps who were set up by friends of mine if you heard the intro
1:51
there they create these maps that you see behind me I'm building a collection here then on my wall yet because I'm waiting for one more to come um and it
1:58
uses actual satellite track um stuff to create the actual map itself
2:04
uh you can get a discount there if you use Cruise maps.com TFT and I'll come back to that a little bit uh later and
2:10
they do all different sizes and uh what's it called frames thank you and I
2:16
just this is my most recent one I got which is actually using actually uses satellite I this from my Alaska trip
2:22
because that would be really cool to see kind of the snow and ice and so on um so let's talk let's get start to questions
2:28
about the group Cruise because that also links to what I'm talking about so uh
2:33
this is a the group Cruise gang as it were now not everybody is here
2:38
unfortunately because we actually did our group Cruise picture after the farewell cockta party but because there
2:43
was lots of issues uh with getting in a little bit later on the final uh Port so
2:48
actually excursions of push backs so not everybody made it but that's a big slug of the gang now one of the one we did
2:55
loads of stuff and I'm putting together a video where you can see much more of the group crws uh including the meetups
3:01
and the dining and the pre stuff we did with Boston which I'll talk about in a second um and all different bits pieces
3:07
we did so I'm putting together a video of that now one of the things that we did there was lots of prizes which had this logo on for the different meetups
3:14
but also um we had raffle with prizes from E Boston there was celebrity stuff
3:19
and one of the prizes was actually a one-of-a-kind group Cru map so actually
3:25
Chris um and Jim won the raffle for this and this is what they're going to be getting a bit like the one behind this
3:31
is the only one that will actually ever have the logo on that will be made so
3:36
I'm sure this is going to be incredibly valuable at some point of time and I joked they'll you know it'll eventually
3:42
become a massive big heirloom uh so uh that's that um so again that's was very
3:49
kind of the cruise Maps gang so let's get stuck into a bunch of questions so
3:55
I'll maybe churn through them in the order they came through uh actually I'll
4:00
talk a little bit about the group so a couple of people here like Christina is here um I think I saw Paul and Carol are
4:06
here uh P Carol Of course um they were there they having their group Cruise in May which I'll be going to and it'll be
4:13
great because I'll be able to just be a passenger literally of the group Cruise um and hia was there so hi's got a
4:19
question specific question which I will come to so a couple of people asked how was the group Cruise how did it go so
4:25
Lucy asked where did the group Cruise go hopefully you saw that on that cruise map that I brought uh up there so we
4:33
went from Boston we went to Rockland we went to Halifax Sydney overnight in
4:38
Quebec um to charlott town and Prince Edward Island then at Portland and then
4:43
back to Boston so that was the group Cru there was 68 um people and myself as
4:50
well so um somebody asked what was the highs and the lows of the group cruise I
4:58
mean the highs lights where obviously the destination is fantastic we had pretty good weather was only in
5:03
Charlotte Town was less good um I had a great time meeting people you know I keep the group Cruise relatively small
5:09
so I can interact with people as much as I possibly can so I hosted tables every night but even then it was a challenging
5:15
to talk to everyone at the table um so that was the highlight I think of getting to meet everybody the low light
5:20
was probably it was just not enough time to to meet everybody we had really lousy weather in one port maybe that was the
5:26
low light I mean celebrity Eclipse um which is the last of the solers class to
5:32
go through their reimagine their updating so it was a little bit tired in some places the cabins were perhaps a
5:38
little bit tired you know the seats in the dining room were a little bit tired but that was not so much a low light as
5:43
just something that probably was uh you you know notable so that that's kind of
5:49
good to know now haa had a question specifically related hia has been on two of the group Cruisers um and hia asked
5:57
the question on our last group Cruiser Waiters in the main dining room were really pushy about giving them a perfect
6:02
score on the celebrity survey is this common practice so I yes you're right um I'm seeing this increasingly and
6:09
particularly on Royal Caribbean group um but on the other lines um particularly
6:14
with cruise lines where they're starting to build more of the um you know through
6:20
their packages or through their fairs where they're starting to include the gratuities much more in you know in the
6:26
fair so that the crews the crew just get a cut of the gratuities and so what the
6:32
cruise line get has moved towards is they're really pushing about scores and they are heavily um kind of rewarded or
6:40
appraised or I guess uh punished if that's the right word um based on the
6:45
scores so they are really really pushy about the scores and I have seen that on many cruises that have been recently and
6:51
to your point it gets a little bit uncomfortable because they do really push it but even when I was on Seaborn recently um the cruise director gave a
6:58
whole speech at the end around how basically they really wanted tens at a push a nine anything below a nine was a
7:04
fail um so there I'm seeing that more and more and more because those ratings
7:09
are seen by head off as they're seen by the crew and are having a massive uh big impact there Margo which is great um to
7:17
see here um who's coming on the next group Cruise which is in Panama so that's my next group Cruise so let me
7:25
get to some of the other questions that were popped in so uh Frederick asked what is your opinion of celestial Cruise
7:32
Lines what category would you put them in we thinking of Eastern Mediterranean in September so celes is a line that I
7:38
haven't been on yet for those who don't know it's a Greek Focus line uh it's Greek owned I believe and it focuses on
7:45
the Greek Islands uh their ships are relatively old ships relatively good condition um you know they're not
7:51
particularly luxurious but they are real experts at Greek Islands so they're
7:56
relatively small ships so the first positive is you got to small ship experience so they fall sort of in the
8:01
small ship category but they're not really luxurious um and most people to
8:07
go on them like them but don't expect kind of uh you know a particular premium experience even though it's a smallish
8:12
ship don't expect a particular premium experience but as an option going around the Greek Islands they are really really
8:18
good they do more overnights for example some even go to two ports in a day they might do one and they'll go to say MOS
8:25
that spend overnight and the next day there so um I haven't tried them I did a cruise by then was actually canell and I
8:31
just haven't had a chance to rebook those um Dean asking the question Arctic
8:38
or Antarctica Expedition I'm guessing that should be Cruz debating on either
8:43
not a fan of crossing the Drake Passage your thoughts so first of all for me without a shadow of a doubt it's
8:49
anarctica every time if if it's only a choice between the two um just because
8:55
Antarctica is just so incredibly special it is so unique and and it is so just
9:01
mindboggling uh you know Arctic of course is fantastic I've done the Arctic F I've done the Canadian Arctic which is
9:08
also fantastic but in terms of just the overall experience I would go for Antarctica now if you don't want a cross
9:14
straight passage there is a cop out because I do feel like TR passage is part of the experience um so there is
9:21
some lines but certainly silvery with the silver Endeavor ship um for much of the season they um they actually have
9:28
that within that AR I think it's it's a Prince Edward Island if I remember correctly or was it King Edward Island
9:33
um and they have a a charter flight Which flies uh people in so you miss
9:38
Drake's Passage and fly people out now the one risk with that is it's heavily dependent on weather so a friend of mine
9:45
did that because she didn't want to do Drake's Passage and she actually had a shorter trip because the weather wasn't
9:50
good enough to get the charter flight in so the people who are on the tail end got a a few more days more and she got a
9:57
few days fewer so I would you know Drake Passage it can be hidden miss it can be Drake Lake it can be Drake shake you
10:04
know it's almost Worth to be honest being fing a little bit poorly for a day or two um if that's the worst case um
10:11
and to give you a sense of how powerful I think an Arctic is I'm going at the end of this month so I think it's two
10:18
weeks is it two weeks or three weeks on Tuesday uh actually boarding um I think
10:23
it's in about two Saturdays time or three Saturdays time flying off um and I'm doing an for the third time I'm
10:30
doing actually on Silver Endeavor which uh is doing a sou Georgia Forkland and
10:36
I'll B Cruise an 18 night cruise before it it then goes and um does that flying
10:42
one I did see somebody else advertising the flying word I can't remember which uh which line it was uh so Andrew and
10:50
Diana calling rep ports welcoming us back which is very good thank you very much for that um so let's have a look
11:00
so Megan is asking the question how good are Holland America particularly but Cruise L's General good at managing diet
11:07
requirements like dairy free or gluten-free what's the best way to manage it so Megan um I will answer this
11:12
but I also have a video I strongly recommend you watch I'll try and remember in fact I will make a little note for myself to pop it into the list
11:20
so I have a video um around I be able to read my writing it let me write it a bit
11:27
neater um I'll put I'll put a link in this afterwards um you so maybe five or
11:32
10 minutes after this goes live and I'll pop the link in there around this whole issue of dining and dietary restrictions
11:39
um uh about how to manage it but basically all the major Cruise Lines um are very good at managing those
11:45
requirements uh it's best to work with the matro D initially in the main dining room uh although you know people who
11:52
have dietary issues in fact there was many on this last group Cruise still were comfortable using the the buffet
11:58
because they could find out what ingredients were I generally find the main dining room is one of the safest ways to do it so depending on your needs
12:06
what will often happen is you will of get a menu say the night before you can go through that menu and talk about
12:12
things that need to be left out or included some will have a specific menu so for example they'll have a vegan menu
12:19
uh so on Celebrity as well they had a vegan menu vegetarian vegan menu as well as the items there so they are pretty
12:25
good they're very experienced they have a separate area of the kitchen that will deal with dietary requirements so um
12:32
they will they will handle those things like gluten-free for example will be uh
12:37
you know you have a gluten-free section in the buffet now dairy free and gluten-free is actually relatively easy for them to manage they are used to much
12:44
more complex things so for example Mark uh my other half has some issues with
12:49
dairy and actually just bages it on a Case by case basis doesn't even talk to the mat that much about it because it's
12:56
very easy to manage within that but they are very good um Steve who uh back from
13:02
the group Cruise driving so fewer comments which is which is uh which is great um so let's have a look at the
13:10
question phas at C is here cruising so Jeffrey is here who's also on the group because lots of people who are on the
13:16
group Cruise are here which is uh which is absolutely fantastic um let's have a
13:23
look so Ronda hi there Ronda um who was also on the group Cruise have you ever had to put in a claim with travel
13:29
insurance if so what was the process like uh so Ronda I I have um it was once
13:38
luckily and touchwood this is only the case it was only once actually and it was actually for my parents um when I
13:44
booked Cruise um for them and then my dad fell very ill and couldn't go on the cruise so it was really a cancellation
13:51
uh thing that we did so I think a lot of it uh Ronda is hinges around obviously what the claim is um and your uh your
13:59
insurance company normally what you'll find is there is a there's a number uh which is a claims group uh and that's
14:07
the best way in the key key thing I've discovered obviously is documentation so if you and I have addressed this I think
14:13
in some other videos recently uh if it's a medical one for example make sure that you've got that documented so you know
14:20
obviously receipts from the medical center but if you've reported an incident uh you know make sure you get
14:25
that a Written Letter uh if something's happened on board so if anything's happened on board a ship that you're going to be claiming or or you know
14:31
you've fallen over or hurt yourself or lost something or broken something whatever documentation you can get that
14:38
helps uh with with the with the travel insurance um I I found only if You' got
14:43
good documentation then you're fine so for example in one of the videos recently I was talking about people who been successful at making some medical
14:49
claims versus some people who weren't successful at Medical claims I was really around that the people who were
14:54
less successful just hadn't got documentation from the ship and of course trying to get it retro was a really really really uh really big a
15:02
really big challenge uh John has a question we're
15:07
considering either the Rotterdam or queenan for the Norway FS Cruise in 2025
15:13
your thoughts on comparing or contrasting between them so John two things first of all I would look at the itineries uh you want to have as many um
15:21
you know fued ports as possible and as few sort of towns as possible so you
15:26
obviously you're probably going to have things like Bergen as um uh oh my back
15:33
um I kind I forgot the name I was not
15:40
umanga um Christian place do you want to see place that are more FY like now both
15:46
of those are relatively big ships um as you probably know they are are basically the same ships the Rotterdam is a
15:52
pinnacle class ship Queen is a slightly stretched Pinnacle class ship so it's actually carries more passengers they
15:59
relatively big ships so they do have some restrictions on where they can go so I would first of all look at that the
16:04
second thing then it entirely really depends on uh where you wanted to leave from so the Rotterdam I'm guessing was
16:10
probably going from Rotterdam uh these days because it won't be allowed into Amsterdam anymore so I'm guessing it
16:16
probably goes from Rotterdam queenan of course will be going out of Southampton so that's the second consideration where do you want to go from and then thirdly
16:23
it's really down to experience so Queen an will obviously be a q not experience so you will have more uh you know on the
16:30
for there will be more you more expectation to dress up more requirement
16:35
to dress up more men will be wearing the full tuxedo bow tie obviously you can
16:41
get away with the suit and tie but it will be more dressy home in America even
16:46
on the dressing nights you don't have to necessar wear a jacket for example it'll be a little bit more relaxed Queen Anne
16:51
will have more enrichment lectures um the entertainment side will probably be
16:56
a little bit better uh than Rotterdam Rotterdam is hles are
17:02
evolving that Rotterdam will have a little bit more live music they still have most of the uh music walk venues
17:09
although they don't have Lincoln Center Stage um these days so a lot of it hes around the kind of experience you want
17:15
relatively relatively similar um so that would be the thing phaser of phaser C
17:22
what was your favorite port on the group cruise I took my first cruise through New England into Canada last year I was
17:27
so impressed with ports so you're right phas I mean I think probably my favorite Port was Quebec uh partly we had a
17:34
gorgeous day we had an overnight there the day was absolutely gorgeous um you know as you probably know if you've been
17:40
there uh you can walk into the old town and other walk up to the newer town the new and Ro coms town uh beautiful uh you
17:47
know such a beautiful city really been beautifully sort of restored and updated
17:53
um it really was fantastic um that was probably my favorite Port I think um you
17:58
you know Charlotte Tana didn't really explore it was a terrible day I think a lot of people though thought that was probably one of the highlights I also
18:05
really liked Portland I hadn't really done much I had unlike I would normally do before I'm go on a cruise I hadn't
18:11
really researched the ports as much as I normally would do because I was much more sort of focused on on the group and
18:19
making the group happen and stuff with hind side I realized I probably could have done more in the ports but um so I
18:25
hadn't researched them so I didn't really expect much on Portland and I had a great day we had a beautiful day in
18:30
Portland and actually just wandering around exploring there was a little train that went the little narrow gaau
18:36
train so I thought Portland was really quite magical I actually bumped into a few people there that follow the channel
18:41
and had some good chats about uh about Portland uh so Chris here was Chris is here which is great looking forward to
18:47
hanging our cruise map we've got a place picked out in our house which is very exciting so that they haven't quite
18:53
receiv received it I have seen they've I've seen the version of what it's like just remind you that is the cruise map
18:58
that um uh you know Chris and Jim won as part of the raffle the only one in the
19:04
world that will have that little logo on um so that's that's very exciting so
19:10
that I think it's on the way um and uh I'm not sure if it's on the way because I think with the cruise Maps they have
19:17
different printing centers so know that like in the UK they print in the UK I think they've got somewhere in the US
19:22
certainly that they print um so they have that's why they end up doing they you know um they have shipping no matter
19:29
where you are in the world's included kind of in the price because they have different printing centers around just remind you since I'm doing a bit of
19:35
segue into that um so this the cruise maps of these things behind me uh actual
19:41
satellite tracking uh real satellite tracking and if you want to find out more or get 10% off there you go um so
19:49
that and as I mentioned I'm building a collection I'm waiting for one more and then what you'll start to see is this growing Cruise Maps um backrop in in my
19:57
um my study here where I do these live streams you'll be bored of seeing CRS
20:02
maybe in in a way M my Matthew is here by the way so that's uh Matthew who is
20:08
one of the founders of the Cru Maps him and will um so if you've got any questions he will be able to answer
20:15
those Josh hopefully you saw my answer to your Celestial Cruz uh question there
20:22
uh Kathy um from Virginia Beach group CR look so much fun s of the Panama Canal fantastic very excited we we probably we
20:29
did sell out of um the Panama Canal initial uh allocation we did get a few
20:34
more cabins because we had a lot of solos booked on that so um great to know
20:40
that that You' got that signed up um so Tony here hi there good to see you tney um
20:47
Regular here on the Q&A any thoughts on princess new Premium plan which includes
20:53
unlimited special dining I think princess is the best packages so actually Tony we we actually spoke about
20:58
the princess packages a couple of times um when we were actually on the the
21:04
cruise we're talking about the different um you know pros and cons because was people on the group Cruise first time on
21:09
on Celebrity for example uh some people who were big dieh hard princess fans uh
21:14
like I think Jeffrey we had a long discussion with Jeffrey and a few other from cruising for one so I mean I think
21:19
what we I think probably what they are very interested is they they are have
21:25
the most comprehensive plans and they seem to be adding to plans where and not
21:30
increasing prices a lot for their plans whereas other Cruis lines are taking things out so celebrity always included
21:37
I think took out gratuities uh you know so people are sort of picking things out of them whereas princess are putting
21:43
stuff in so we did have a thought on this special dining because we're wondering whether and I don't know the
21:49
answer this this thing we were wondering is whether they're going to cap the amount of the princess pre pre Premier I
21:55
think it's called which is they have princess plus and Princess premier because the if everybody on the ship has
22:01
uh that Premium premere plan you know would is it going to become a real problem finding your specialty dining
22:08
reservations so certainly seems the best package for me um for porn Carol's group
22:13
crw I've got two Princess Cruises next year I've got in May born carols grp cruise on Sky princess which actually
22:19
was with us when we were in Quebec City and um then I got the sun princess in
22:26
June the month afterwards to try that so and I haven't really decided decided on the packages yet I think I'm probably going to lean more though towards uh
22:32
princess plus uh because because the drinks package is a big part of it but it does include things like being able
22:39
to use uh you know um Alfredo you know the Amazing Pizza
22:45
that's included if you get the princess plus I think they are pretty good packages and it's very very interesting Ken hopefully you heard the answer to
22:51
that question it was when I answered that for um for Fraser
22:59
uh here we go some uh more people they're having a great time so it was
23:04
great to meet all the way from Seattle which is great to meet the two of you and hope you're feeling fit and healthy
23:10
and well um which is uh which which I'm sure you are by now so let's have a look
23:19
um just a reminder if you do how I didn't say at the beginning actually if you do have a question WR the word question um because then means that can
23:27
I I don't skip it uh when I'm scrolling through but Julie I didn't miss your question uh there's a huge price
23:34
difference between the cruise companies is expensive always better any recommendations for childfree mid-range
23:40
Cruise in the med otherwise Viking are wanting about 15,000 uh so Julia the
23:48
um generally speaking as you go up obviously you know more included uh the
23:53
ships get smaller there's more personal service that kind of stuff now I actually do have a video coming out next
23:59
week where I dive into uh what's the different categories in cruising and
24:05
also what lines are currently rated the best and the worst I also do have a
24:11
video which I did relatively recent Julia which I would recommend you have a look and I'll put a link in these notes
24:17
when I finish around adult only cruising you have almost no options in reality
24:23
now I don't know whether where you're from but if you're the only International lines if you like your other option is virgin virgin voyages
24:31
also like a viking is 18 and older so that's your only guaranteed childfree
24:38
Cruise pretty much anyone can book no matter where you're based so that's your main option so definitely they are
24:45
significantly less expensive than Viking because of course they go from inside cabins at solo cabins you know balconies
24:52
through to big expensive suweet so you can then uh you know play around with your budget they are premium price so
24:57
they're sort of the same price as celebrity holl in America Princess um but they do all the foods included uh
25:03
very good food with the exception of afternoon tea um but all the foods included and they have things like drinks packages now if you're from the
25:11
UK um there are a couple of other options uh which is uh
25:17
Ambassador uh murel has a adult only ship as well uh Saga obviously for the
25:23
over 50s it t tend to be a little bit older and puno cruises has two ships the Arcadia and the Aurora which also are
25:31
adult only they're olders ships so there is there is those options as well they tend to be quite difficult if you're non
25:38
UK to book uh to book those so Jan dun is here 11 days F by um which is great
25:45
um Claudia um forgive me if I was this before and forgot uh for the fs there
25:51
are many T which ports are not to be missed so Claudia what I will do is I do have a F's um video so I probably direct
26:00
you that if you go to the channel little search you put Norway in that will come up or a dive into uh the ports but
26:07
basically um anything that's that's kind of something fed is is pretty good in
26:14
reality um if you do go to the bigger ports like Bergen uh or Tanga often look
26:19
at ones that take you further into the the fields if you go on some of the smaller lines and you get into ganga
26:25
field for example that's pretty good um the many of the fields are going to be
26:31
very restricted from next year Norway have actually pushed that back um by
26:36
some distance actually some of the ports which were pretty good were going to be um out of bounds but they're not but I
26:43
will put a link to that video in there but pretty much my little tip whenever I'm doing anything is look for some as
26:49
long as it's got lots of FS at the end um of the title it's normally it's normally a good
26:56
one Faith um which Cruise Line has the best for single Travelers don't tge huge
27:01
fees so faith I'm gonna I'm doing a lot of promoting my videos the moment I'll put the link to the solo I've got a
27:07
video specifically around um how do I cruise solo for Less um and in reality
27:14
there's not really one particular line it's more complicated than that it's more around being on the lookout for
27:21
solo deals so I sign up all the cruise lines I'm interested in I sign up for their emails I make sure that my travel
27:27
agent travel agent knows that I'm looking for solar deals so you know on the lookout for those that's the best
27:33
thing so you know often you know I even went when I went to kimbery my recent
27:38
Seaborn kimbery Expedition Cruise you know that was a 25% solar supplement they've just launched some recently on
27:45
crystal even with 5% solar supplement so a lot of it's around waiting and playing
27:50
those solar deals there are some cruise lines like Norwegian which Embraces solos much more they have the solo
27:57
Studios introduc more solar cabins with uh which aren't just inside cabins as well so
28:03
norwegian's always a good starting place but it's a little bit more complex than than that and it does take a bit of
28:09
playing around there are some sites will often pull solar deals together so Vacations To Go has a little solo tab
28:15
which is quite good if you're in the UK R Cruisers does um but mostly it's around looking for solo deals so have a
28:22
look at that video and I do talk about uh about that just to reminder right the
28:27
word Quest question so I don't miss it but I didn't miss Robert's question how are the hostilities in the
28:32
Middle East impacting cruising especially World Cruisers so Robert the main uh impact on that is obviously
28:37
Israel has been dropped from all ports of coal so those stops uh have gone and
28:43
the second major thing is uh it's had a massive impact on World Cruisers because most World Cruisers have changed their
28:50
itineries because they can't go through the Red Sea they can't go through the SE Canal so many of them have changed and
28:57
going around the H of Africa much more uh and you know changing that but the other impact it's had is a number of Po
29:03
lines are really relooking the deployment of ships so virgin for example used that as an excuse I don't
29:09
think it's a real reason to not go send a ship down to Australia anymore argu it
29:14
was too expensive and costly there's lots of discussion around just how costly in fact it is uh to sell in
29:20
Australia and um because things are priced in US Dollars um you know made it
29:26
very expensive for Australians uh at at the moment um but you so like we've seen
29:31
for example silver sea has done a massive cancel lots of cruises shuffled lots of ships around done lots of
29:36
redeployment so any anything you know any ship that we used to because what they used to do is that often at the end
29:41
of the Mediterranean season they would send ships through the sews Canal which is obviously very popular itinery down
29:47
to Asia onto Australia uh was the most efficient way and I think also terms of selling cruises because they could do
29:53
lots of calls through Asia so now that's gone and going all around Africa is
29:58
quite an expensive and timely timec consuming thing to do so there's lots of jiggering jiggering jiggling around but
30:06
the main thing is um you know anything that's kind of all that Red Sea stuff cruising has has has basically basically
30:14
gone um so let's have a look uh seriously
30:20
Noob um I have never been to maatan um
30:25
so and I've got a feeling that I will be going on my December cruise I think we
30:31
go to maatan for the first time uh so I'm doing a Panama Canal cruise from
30:36
Miami to Los Angeles uh I think it's 16 nights or 18 nights I can't remember um
30:42
on Regent a grander the new region ship and I'm pretty sure that's one of the stops and I can't remember what what I
30:47
think we booked because you know region includes excursions um it's probably if there if it's good beach if there's a good beach Excursion that's what I would
30:54
be doing there so if anyone has better tips um then uh please please leave
30:59
those I see there's a bit of a addendum to uh to uh your question which is
31:05
around wheelchair so in reality pretty much all cruise lines are ocean cruise
31:12
lines are very good at um dealing with people who have accessibility needs the
31:17
critical thing though faith is accessibility cabins are not you know
31:23
very plentiful often on many ships so you do need to plan well well in advance to make sure sure that you get an
31:29
accessibility cabin um in reality uh if you're in the UK uh you know Saga is a
31:35
good example of where they are particularly good also with solar cabins and things uh and I think solar
31:40
accessible cabins as well um uh but you're going to find you know the big
31:45
ships particularly or Norwegian or Caribbean uh you know they MC they have
31:52
lots of they have more just in ter of numbers of accessibility cabins but all Cru lines are pretty good at dealing that but your challenge is going to be
31:58
again not many have solo uh accessible cabins um and of course it's very
32:04
important to check uh that uh you you know depending on what your requirements are know some people uh you know and the
32:11
cruise L are quite strict around depending on what type of wheelchair you use or accessib needs having accessible
32:18
cabin uh for example uh Richard uh which one is better T am Waterway or Viking so
32:24
Richard um I'm going to also direct you to a video I did some videos earlier
32:30
last month middle of last month where I looked at the best and the worst of the river Cru lines currently based on
32:35
current ratings um and uh the uh you
32:41
know T in terms of current ratings didn't do particularly well which was T people get very angry with me in the
32:47
video that lots of really annoyed people because people who love T absolutely love talk but in reality overall scores
32:53
recently weren't weren't as High um and I talk in the video about why I think it isn't High because they clearly are a
32:59
very good line um so Viking actually scores overall currently better than Amma waterways um in terms of overall
33:06
ratings personally I really like Amo waterways so I always T to lean towards am waterways I think they're a nice mix
33:13
of nice ships good cabins good food good service uh good range of excursions Etc
33:19
um I haven't cruised on T and people who love T absolutely love T but I tend
33:25
towards amort but if you look at that video I break down uh each of I think it's the 10 or 12 I can't remember
33:32
biggest cruise lines uh river cruise lines at the moment and what they're doing well and what they aren't doing
33:37
well based on current feedback as well at the moment um so let's have a look
33:49
um let's have a look um Megan has a question Do cruise ships have to respond
33:55
to emergency calls or respond to rescue have ever been on Crews that have had to do that so I think in terms of Maritime
34:01
uh law and just in terms of mar Sailors and Maritime Community always look after
34:07
themselves so uh you know they will always wherever they can respond including as you've probably seen you
34:13
know things like que too diverting to pick up canoeists who've got stranded and stuff so um they and I think you
34:21
know sellers want to look after themselves so they they will always respond is my understanding um and they
34:27
always help whenever they possibly can help and you'll often see many stories appearing of cruise ships that have helped various people along the way I
34:34
haven't actually been on a cruise ship where we've diverted I don't think I've been on a cruise I'm trying did two on a
34:41
transatlantic I feel like we did something but that may be confusing that with a medical emergency but many people
34:47
have in fact so yes um uh let's have a look um Christine
34:56
have you cruised with WIS yes I've been with wiar several times uh in fact the ship that was in Portland the star
35:02
Breeze I think it was was it star Breeze whichever it was I've been on that twice I've been on once before it was stretched and once after it got
35:08
stretched um so I do like I do like Windstar they are you know pretty small ships 200 300 passengers very relaxed
35:16
very informal not very dressy people on them are very interested in the destination uh they almost don't
35:22
consider themselves Cruisers in a way because these are sort of like they consider them on yach and they tend to
35:27
be very very focused on destination tend to be very outgoing very relaxed very informal uh pretty good food I mean
35:34
these ships are pretty old though even you know I I you know these old Seaborn ships if you talk about those ones
35:41
whoops I knocked over my little iPad there um you know these are quite old
35:46
ships a little bit dated although they are you know the actual um insides and
35:51
cab are very nice I really like I I do like Windstar a lot um and but I'm very
35:56
very excited about their new builds coming in so they're taking over two new builds which were being done for Atlas
36:04
and um they are introducing one at the end of next year I think it is and one at the end of 26 so I'm very excited
36:11
because I think they do need some new ships even their selling ships are uh a bit dated now they are relatively pricey
36:18
but they have great itineries so they have great itineries around you know French pesia even in the med and stuff
36:23
I've done in the med I've done some very interesting aten with them sort of around Scotland I did recently last year
36:30
I did one we we went from Scotland Norwegian FS to Iceland so they have some really great uh some some great
36:36
great tinies so I think they're good from that perspective and I've done that always I've always been on that solo and
36:42
it's you know as a solo travel it's pretty good I don't think I've ever got a solo
36:47
uh I don't think I've ever got a solo discount um for that lot people chiming
36:53
in on the um uh chiming on the uh the medical bits
37:01
and pieces which is very helpful Katie hi there Katie uh I'm happy new Patron
37:06
thanks very much for joining Patron so those who don't know I do have a patreon and channel memberships um uh and
37:14
there's various perks and stuff there so in terms of upcoming group cruises so ktie you should have got when you sign
37:20
up an email from me where I spoke about the group cruises uh there but I will
37:26
send you uh on patreon I will send you a message afterwards just with the link to the
37:32
Panama group Cruise so um that's the only one I've currently got scheduled and at the moment it is open for Patron
37:38
channel members because it's basically so sold out so I will drop your notes on on that but uh you should have it in one
37:44
of the one of the messages um that uh that that uh that that you got when you
37:50
signed up but I will send that to you again
37:55
um hi Carol so car um good so Carol is
38:01
um Boston she's a a Boston native I think that's right Boston native uh
38:06
Carol is on the board of meet Boston and was and also a patreon um and she was
38:13
the person who put me in contact with me Boston who arranged um a series of
38:18
events um and um they were incredibly popular uh in fact one of the patron
38:25
updates here today I I showed some pictures and stuff of that and we had um so me Boston organized a group uh
38:32
Excursion which is to go up view Boston which is a a relatively new viewing platform on the credential Center which
38:39
was fantastic we had a Q&A we had some drinks up there then we had at the um rotunda at the venel hall which very
38:48
beautiful um Old Market inside there all food stores in the ratanda we had
38:55
wonderful reception with lots of local food uh provided by meet Boston guitarist playing uh lots of
39:02
dignitaries came along one of the things which also very exciting which I had here and I'm glad Carol brought this up
39:07
because um I've meant to show this earlier so uh they also handed over to
39:12
us uh this document which was from the
39:18
Boston city council and it was a specific resolution it's signed here by the president of the
39:25
city council the clerk of City Boston and by counselor Flynn and it was a resolution offered by councelor Ed Flynn
39:32
now he's very important he's not only a counselor but his dad was an ex- mayor and the cruise port is named after him it's the Flynn cruise port that we sell
39:39
out of and it was a resolution welcoming us to Boston hoping you had a great time in Boston um so that was rather rather
39:46
nice so I also want to get that framed and add that to my collection by me so
39:52
that was very exciting um so so Carol was kind of ing in that so I'm working
39:57
on a video of the group Cruise well I'll show you much more of that experience
40:03
that we had it was really I mean it was fantastic because Boston really did make us feel like we were really important we
40:10
spoke about it afterwards Z you know they made us feel like we were real VIPs and I think you know not everybody most
40:16
of the group or many of much of the group probably three quarters I guess of the group came to the events those that
40:22
didn't I think felt that they'd kind of missed something really important because it was um was uh everyone was
40:29
raving about it it really was fantastic I'm trying I should put some pictures in here actually I don't think I've put any
40:34
pictures in there no I didn't um but it was really really it was it was really fantastic uh so big thank to to Carol
40:42
for that um so let's have a look so Meg
40:48
a couple question let me talk someth probably answer the the question on the cruise map um so one of the things you
40:55
can do with the uh with the cruise Maps is they have because this was actually asked when you were on the group cruise
41:01
is any Cruise after 2015 you can get made into one of these
41:06
Maps here um and all you have to do is you have to give them the uh the name of
41:13
the ship uh the date of departure uh the start the embarcation
41:19
and disembarkation Port um and they can generate maps and as I mentioned you got the traditional I think classic then you
41:26
got the the more sat version which I feel work quite well for that and then what they do is it has all
41:32
of the ports uh on named on there and you can get in white black or um the
41:38
wood style and you right there's lots of different sizes so these are the biggest these are 18 by 24 there's little
41:44
different sizes but they do have uh smaller ones and um like you can get
41:50
only little printed ones and all that sort of stuff um so hopefully I'm sure Matt probably answer that since I S that
41:55
I would answer that as I me mentioned uh you know the cruise.com TFT and you can get your 10% off Megan if you're looking
42:02
for that but you can also sorry you can also order them in advance so if you're going cruise up for 12 months you can
42:08
order them in advance so for example I'm heading off Antarctica and I'm probably going to put that in before I go so it's
42:13
in the system because as soon as the the cruise ends so you know as soon as the as soon as the group Cruise was over um
42:22
then uh mad's Team were able to get working on this one for uh Jim and Chris
42:28
of the cruise cruise map lots of people wanted me by the way to to to do that
42:33
for everybody um but we'd agreed it as a kind of a onof thing so you could order if you on the group Cruise you can order
42:39
the group cruise but without the fancy old logo um great so let's have a look I
42:46
went and scroll down I've missed I've gone back to the beginning so let's let me make sure I don't lose uh lose my
42:55
lose any questions along the way as I scroll down Paul Carol also had a great time in
43:01
Quebec it's uh I think it's where Carol had her most bizarre looking meal of all time because poutin is a big thing of
43:07
course in um in Canada and there's lots of compare and contrast poua I think
43:13
Carol probably woned although it wasn't actually poutine it was the sort of dish that she had in Quebec which was just sort of bizarre so Jeffrey also gree
43:20
Quebec so it looks like um I'm doing a you Quebec it looks like I've probably
43:25
um done the right thing picking Quebec it was really beautiful I really thought it was lovely and maybe one day I'll do
43:31
a cruise out of Quebec I was looking at I've would been looking at that itiner again because as I mentioned because I was thinking about the group Cru I
43:37
didn't see as much of the ports as I probably should have or like to have so I'm relooking that that itinerary uh
43:43
itinerary again Josh hopefully you heard my answer a little bit earlier when I was talking about Norwegian Cruise Line
43:50
sorry uh Holland America versus kunard um so you know they are very different
43:56
so if you I'm guessing in the Mediterranean I think I'm right in saying that they' probably got their Edge class ships so if it's celebrity
44:04
Edge or apex apex out of the UK so it's probably not but if it's one of the edge CLS so Edge Beyond Ascent or
44:12
whatever that is a very different ship um to say kunard uh just in ter of look
44:17
and feel it's likely to have more families on board although if you're going in Midsummer you probably will get
44:23
families on kot as well so the celebrity will be a much more relaxed uh environment the entertainment will be
44:29
more kind of big production show with acrobatic and stuff but more kind of
44:34
youthful stuff Kun not will be slightly more traditional entertainment so it's really celebrity sort of position
44:39
themselves as a bit more modern trying to attack a younger crowd more families kunut is still very classic much more in
44:46
the dressing upside so again it's really around the experience you want on board now both of them have a tiered system
44:53
both of them are very class driven so depending on what you're looking at so celebrity in reality is way more class
44:59
to French than Cod even though Cod has a reputation so celebrity has what's known as The Retreat so that's where all their
45:06
suets uh you know so anyone who's in one of their suits uh is the retreat so they have a a big Retreat deck uh which uh
45:14
depending on if you're in a Solus class sort of has a hot tub plunge pool thing if you're on retreat has a swimming pool
45:20
if you're on an ed class has more of a pool they have you can eat up there they then have the lumini restaurant um and
45:27
then they will have things like um reserved seating uh in the theater stuff like that uh Cod K's Queen's Grill where
45:35
they will have a the restaurant they'll have a deck it's not as nice a deck as it on Celebrity then celebrity have Aqua
45:42
class which is actually quite affordable where they have the Blue restaurant can not have princess Grill which is sort of
45:48
also their mini suites where they have the princess Grill Restaurant so they both have that kind of class system now
45:53
again depending on which celebrity ship you're on if you're on the newer ships they don't have a main dining room they
45:59
have four restaurants that you can choose between Cod will have if you're in you know a balcony or whatever they
46:05
will have a main D room so but if you're on a solstice class ship then it's much
46:10
more similar to kot so a lot of it's around the experience and very very key differences if it's an edge class ship
46:16
it's a very very different uh experience um very different experience hopefully
46:21
that's answered that White Rabbit travel question best pan Canal itinery I've
46:27
just booked an 18-day full Transit from Los Angeles to New York on princess on island princess and I'm wondering if it
46:33
may be too long I'm traveling solo uh no I mean eight I love longer
46:39
Cruisers so I'm probably a little bit biased um and in reality that Tiner is a great tiny because it's quite varied so
46:46
you're going to have if you're going from you're going to have sort of parts of sort of Central America you can have
46:51
something like more rainforest um type excursions you know we can do the sort
46:56
of the canopy walks or the canopy Trails you going course have amazing Panama
47:02
that experience now Island Princess uh I think is a Panama panamax size I think
47:07
you might be going through the old locks but I'm not 100% sure on that but I feel like is Princess a smaller but you're
47:13
then going to have some Caribbean stuff you're going to have uh you I'm guessing you probably have a little bit more of
47:18
the Central America stuff you have some Caribbean uh islands and stuff then of course you're going to have I'm not sure
47:23
what you're going to stop at on New York so I think that sounds like a great itinerary um but you know I I think
47:29
anything you know anything that does a full trial that is fantastic and they do tend to be longer so at Christmas um I
47:36
think it's a 16 day or so maybe it's an 18 day the the group Cruise one I think
47:41
is also a 16 day um so you know and um so I think it's great attorney and I
47:47
love being on a ship for a long time you can really just relax get into it you don't feel as pressured at all uh so
47:53
Joanna has a question any tips for cruising the medit training if you have to sell during the busiest hottest time
47:59
of the summer so I I'm going to do another uh promo for a video I've got
48:05
two videos which I did recently on the Mediterranean actually I did them based on some questions from someone I used to work with um Winnie um who'd ask a
48:13
similar question to this and I did two videos one that's around kind of things to watch out for when planning and then
48:20
the best and worst ports um so if you are in the business hottest time
48:26
everything is going to be absolutely rammed Falls not only with ships but also with landbased passengers so if you
48:32
do Western Mediterranean all of the ports cities you know if you go to Florence if you're going into Barcelona
48:38
if you're going to La Pala uh marsill wherever you're going it's going to be really really busy so um my biggest tip
48:46
is and it'll also be the most expensive time to go so my biggest point is if you have to do that because I'm guessing you
48:52
might have to take School holiday time just be ready for things to be busy so therefore make sure that you've planned
48:58
way in advance what excursions you're going to do and lock them in so if you
49:03
are preferring to do cruiseline excursions make sure you get in as soon as you possibly can and book them before they get sold out because many of them
49:10
may get sold out if you're doing more independent excursions like Venture shore shore excursions group or VOR
49:17
something like that again get in really early and lock them down um secondly be ready for the heat because it will be
49:24
very hot and very sticky um so make sure you've got you know hats and sunscreen and cool clothes and water bottles and
49:31
all that kind of stuff those are probably my two biggest tips um then
49:37
also that you know link to that when you're choosing Cruise Line bear in mind that even traditional cruise lines like a Cunard as I was mentioned earlier we
49:44
probably have kids and families on you know one of the biggest uh discussions I saw is Cruise lies like Oceania Regent
49:51
Silvera those lines which tend to be adult only during like the Mediterranean summer will'll have a lot of kids on
49:58
which people just found it you know kind of a bit of a bit of a shock as it as it were so um you know that's um you that's
50:06
something to to bear in mind um but locking in the ports and the excursions
50:12
will be the absolute key thing now I'm not sure I can answer this one for you but um other people may be able to so
50:19
Spanish Alchemy what's the best way of getting around the Caribbean ports with two senior citizens with mobility issues are
50:26
golf carts good option now if you're talking about getting from the ship to the port area you'll find that most uh
50:33
ports will have like go golf carts or sort of uh you know those kind of things to to get people from the ship because
50:40
often there can be quite a long like custa Maya or even in places like kmal
50:45
there quite long um uh you know peers and things so they often will have golf
50:51
carts there to Ferry people around even if you go to some of the private islands for example example I can Harvest key
50:58
and stuff like that uh they have golf carts because it's quite a long walk from the pier into the place um but once
51:05
you get into the the town and stuff I I'm I haven't really seen golf carts as
51:12
an as an issue so I I feel like mostly people are then probably relying on
51:17
things like Wheelchairs and so on so that's I can get I know how people get to to the kind of Port area once if you
51:24
want to about exploring I I don't really know if anyone has a better suggestion the other thing that I would say is that
51:30
depending on your cruise line a number of cruise lines will offer excursions for people with mobility issues so
51:36
particularly things like colon America uh you know princess those more classic lines so I would also then check if you
51:42
do want to go sightseeing if actually the best thing to do is to go with a cruise line that has uh you know
51:49
mobility issue uh acceptable targeted um appropriate or
51:55
the right word is kind of excursions because they they will be the best way of of of doing that
52:03
um uh let's have a look so Richard um this is Richard from Kentucky hi there
52:09
Richard from Kentucky I want to start doing some River Cruises are any lines more solo friendly so Richard um overall
52:15
speaking I've done all of my River Cru
52:20
is solo although actually that's not true I did one where I went with friends but I was solo but we were with friends it didn't really make a difference um so
52:27
there's not one line that really pops enormously on SOL for because you'll find most of them will charge you double
52:33
the rate these are small ships so they tend not to have Sol deals some of them will have sell deals between the
52:39
beginning and the end of the season um you know so one of the things you I did find as a solo on many River Cruise
52:45
Lines is most people there as couples or as groups so you do have to be a little bit outgoing because at dinner you know
52:51
you don't have an advocated table you sort of have to go and say can I sit with you so if you if you've chatted people in in the bar got to know them on
52:57
excursions that's a good way of sort saying can I dine with you um there are a couple of lines which do have some
53:03
solar cabins or more seller friendly so talc that I was talking about earlier they are very good uh uh in terms of
53:11
that sort of more premium end at having solo lower solo Affairs or solo rates um
53:18
you know sort of on an ongoing basis they are the ones that I've seen across Europe which is a French line so you do
53:24
have to expect that you may be you know a handful of English speakers they do have some solo cabins and overall
53:30
they're they're they're more inexpensive so I've been on even those solo and they have been uh pretty good um but tank is
53:38
the one that probably positions itself the most as uh as being solo friendly um
53:44
and I'm trying to think if Riviera um which is a more UK focused line um they
53:49
have also done I've seen sort of solo offers deals the other thing I would say Richard is you know work with your
53:54
travel agent or certainly sign up what I do as I mentioned earlier is sign up for those lines that you're interested in and watch out for solo deals so linai
54:01
Viking very occasionally I've hardly ever seen I did see recently uh one of
54:07
those Stein mad Chen good to see you here again any tips on cruises on non-english speaking lines as a Solo
54:13
Traveler so let me think I have covered this but not as a direct topic um as
54:19
such but obviously I've been on a number of non-english speaking lines as a Solo Traveler I've been on Costa I've been on
54:26
Hab Lloyd I've been on Cross Europe and I've been on Pont uh as a solar traveler
54:32
um so I I think it's a little bit linked to the other thing you you just need to be uh willing and prepared to be uh
54:41
perhaps a little bit more sociable or a little bit more outgoing if that's the right word than you would perhaps be
54:48
otherwise because you do need to kind of you know bear in mind a lot of those people are you know English is in their
54:54
first language some people may not even speak uh English at all which is kind of unusual unfortunately non-english
55:00
speakers are way better than us English speakers that speaking multiple languages I never had any issues at all
55:06
um I found you know I was once on a on a can Canal barge which had 15 passengers
55:12
uh 14 of the passengers were French speakers and me um and uh I think there
55:19
was maybe three of them didn't speak any English or very little English at all um and I had a great time because people
55:25
kind of embraced you and and kind of got to know you what I tend to find is that
55:31
the the line are quite good they will normally have uh if there's a small group they will have like an
55:37
international host for example or they will do things kind of that will do briefings or stuff for for
55:43
English speakers but you do need to be you have to assume you you know you may be very few I mean I was on a on one
55:50
cross Europe where there's only three English speakers was a couple of myself so that they put us at the same table
55:55
but I think you just have to be bit adventurous and be willing to kind of just um be out there if that's the right
56:02
if that's the right word um Barbara I don't know if I quite
56:07
understand the question let's have a look we are due to sell out of Fort Lauderdale on October the 10th Viking said standby re your comments about
56:14
hurricanes and cancer okay so I guess this um I I've seen I saw something today I haven't been following it but I
56:21
did he said this another hurricane heading towards uh Florida I guess um so
56:27
I I I I I don't know what the latest situation is I mean generally speaking um obviously because ships on mobile
56:35
they often may had head away from the hurricane so sometimes I know with the last hurricane that came through some
56:41
ships you know went out further and came into Port you know later day later hours
56:47
later so um you know obviously they want to disembark passages passages and do it
56:53
kind of safely there have been some people very upset um with some storms that were heading through recently and I
56:59
think Norwegian completely changed they're supposed to the Caribbean they changed their I to a Canada one and they
57:05
had kind of a revolt on their hands uh because they completely changed that without telling people beforehand I
57:12
think unfortunately I don't have I'm not sure I'm really hoping very much I think you just have to be ready and flexible
57:17
obviously they want to be as safe as they possibly can um so um but I will
57:23
keep an eye on that because um because I uh I saw I picked up that there was
57:28
another one coming Rick Robert making a very nice comment thank you very much that rosem me hi there good to see rosem
57:33
me talking about walk along the malacon which is uh which is which is great uh
57:39
to know so I'll do that um calling on ports uh good to see you Andrew and
57:44
Diana here um they're trying and explore it before me so they're getting in December fantastic uh what are you
57:50
looking forward to most so basically um so those who don't know Explorer is the sort of Ultra Luxury I'm doing V commer
57:57
but it's positioned the Ultra Luxury uh category um by msse so that people The
58:02
Family MC created it I'm really looking forward to uh seeing the actual ship the
58:08
ship from all the videos and stuff I've seen looks very beautiful uh and that whole experience to see whether MSC as a
58:14
company which of course is all about delivering kind of value if they can really do that and I'm very interested in the food because all the people that
58:20
I know been on Explorer have mostly said about has spoken very highly about the food so what's going to be very
58:25
interesting is you know it's quite a big ship for the ultr luxury side I think it's 1,000 1, passengers so I'm interest
58:31
to see they ready deliver that so I'm really really really excited to um see
58:37
what you think so I'll be following you with a lot of interest um so Ros kind of
58:44
find I actually saw now I remember I just said that Ros because now I do remember we definitely go to the Zan uh
58:51
on my region trip because cliff diving uh one of was one of the included kind
58:56
of excursions so um that that's that reminds me who definitely are G there so
59:02
thanks for those tips Mark asking the question when you be cruising on Ritz Carlton looks amazing um it's actually
59:08
the the one where I did choose my cruise poll with the patrons and members and
59:13
and Ritz Carlton came up top but I have held off going on Ritz Carlton so far um
59:19
because it is crazy expensive and gets very mixed reviews uh and in fact people
59:25
that I know being actually felt it was not good value at all it was very expensive and they were not very impressed at all um so I I would like to
59:33
go on Ritz Caron it's probably I'm lots of people want to go maybe because it's so crazy expensive and no wants to cough
59:39
up the money but I keep looking at the prices are really really crazy um and so
59:45
I'm not it's not in my plans um so um
59:50
you know I I will keep looking at it and see if if I do so TR and Sarah is here
59:55
good to see travel agent Sarah uh has been doing Lots been very busy doing a conference and time off which is great
1:00:03
it's good to see here Sarah lots to follow up on there
1:00:08
um uh let's have a quick look uh
1:00:13
followup not a oh not a followup do you think your Club restaurants offer better food and does it worth extra buck in
1:00:18
your opinion okay so this is talking about MSC Cru your club uh definitely has better food than the main dining
1:00:24
room in my opinion uh and I think it is you know your Club is of all the
1:00:30
shippers in the ship is probably the best value of all of those on offer it's actually pretty good value for me though
1:00:37
you know msse ships are too big too noisy too crowded um and the yach club
1:00:44
does give a bit of rest Bu from it but you need to like and want to have the overall MSC experience so it's only
1:00:51
worth it if you want uh you know to go on MSC there big big ships busy loud
1:00:58
noisy etc etc um and um and you know do
1:01:03
that way big tip that i' say is you can do your Club relatively inexpensively because most of the ships actually have
1:01:10
a couple of inside caverns in your Club so you still get the lock Club Lounge you get the inclusions you get the butler you get the deck you get the
1:01:17
reserved seating priority seating in in escorted in the theaters uh prior check
1:01:24
in but you can do it relatively you know really inexpensively in an inside cabin it is just it's an absolute absolute
1:01:31
kind of um uh absolute absolute absolute bargain from that
1:01:37
perspective we have churned through a huge amount of time um so couple of things next week I will be doing a live
1:01:43
stream but it will be on Saturday not on Sunday it will be on Saturday the next live stream just to remind you the
1:01:50
cruise Maps behind me um where you can get an exact map um of your Cru you've
1:01:56
done on uh you can get 10% off at the cruise maps.com TFT um thanks so much for joining me um
1:02:04
thanks for the great questions and I hopefully will see you next week I do have a video out this week um which uh
1:02:10
is on the channel now if you want to take a look at that as well um but enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks so
1:02:15
much for joining me
