How to Remove Taxes and Shipping Calculated at Checkout on Shopify (2024)

Welcome back everybody to Techspress. In this tutorial, let's take a look into how we can

edit all the prices, all the checking of your shipping calculations and taxes. So when somebody wanted

to buy like a product, you can see here into the upper side, they have the variant picker

and here have the custom price, and my price should be changing as

I'm just getting started here. So I'm going to hit now into the three dots, let's go into view

and what I wanted to do is just to make sure that your products are ready to set up

without some taxes and shipping cost. If you wanted to don't pay for that, I can totally suggest you to add those inside

the payment, inside the actual price of your product, so you don't have to pay absolutely for anything, but this is going to be like a real benefit

for you because you don't have to pay for anything and the customers are not going to

be surprised to adding extra money when you want to make like a payment

So usually, when they add it to the cart, they can see how it's going to be looking

the checkout process of your products. So usually here is appearing the actual total, but sometimes they're not considering what

is the actual billing stuff, what is the actual calculation of all your taxes. And to change that, I'm going to go here into

my editor or my dashboard of Shopify. I'm going to focus now into the left part and go into settings

So in order to edit this stuff, I wanted to go here

to shipping and delivery. Inside the shipping and delivery it's going to be really easy just to edit your shipping cost. For example

I'm going to click here into rate for sex location. Usually the actual product, let's say for example this one that is the complete snowboard

usually takes the actual price of 3, 6, 5 of my product when I send this product directly to Mexico

So that means that what I need to do is to go back

go into my products and if I choose the product that here

I'm checking it out, in this case is the complete snowboard, I'm going to go

here, the complete snowboard. And here as you can see now I have my actual prices. So first of all

what I need to do is to show in 5 variations, I hit into

bulk edit. And what I wanted to do is to hit the

price plus this price that appears in here 3, 6, 5 plus 6, 99. Now that I have added the new

price to this product, I'm going to hit now into save once this has now been successfully saved, I can go back

and now I edit my rate and instead of going into 3, 6, 5, I remove the actual

price. And I have 3 price because now I don't charge for the actual shipping cost. I mean I do, but this money

is a period into my product so I don't have to worry about that

Now let's focus into the taxes. First of all let's save this

and now after I save this, remember that we were here into shipping and livery, let's go here

into taxes and duties. Inside taxes and duties, what you can see

here, you are not charging taxes from some period of experience. Usually

we take charges and collecting money from Australia, Canada, European Union and much more. Usually if you wanted to collect

for example here the transaction fee is 1% or .85% of the Shopify payments, what you want to do is to

hit into include taxes and pricing so you don't have to charge for the taxes directly here into the payment section

because now everything should be added inside the actual product when they are checking it out before they hit into buy

If you hit into charge taxes and shipping rates, you can enable this

and BAT on digital goods. Now my product has my already tax included and it's totally for free

the shipping cost. So I hit now into buy it now, the shipping cost calculated the next step, but you have to

worry about that because we already import the free version. So there
