Welcome back to my channel. In this
0:39
video, I'll show you how to use
0:40
Monochromatic,
0:42
my custom plug-in for Final Cut Pro.
0:45
Once installed, you'll receive
0:47
instructions upon purchase. Go to the
0:49
effects section and find the subcategory
0:52
where you installed the plugin. Simply
0:55
drag and drop the effect onto your clip.
0:57
And on the right side, the panel with
1:00
all adjustable parameters will appear.
1:02
This plug-in works on red, green, and
1:04
blue tones as well as alpha channels.
1:08
You can adjust the effects intensity
1:10
using the mix control. For contrast, you
1:13
can tweak the pivot and enable the
1:15
smooth contrast option for a softer
1:18
look.

1:31
If needed, you can choose to work
1:33
exclusively on luminance. The clip color
1:36
value parameter is set to none by
1:39
default, but other options are
1:40
available. The same applies to the mode
1:43
setting, which defaults to HDR to Rex
1:46
709 SDR. I recommend keeping the
1:49
broadcast safe option enabled while the
1:51
interlaced will be useful if you need to
1:53
deinlace a natively interlaced clip. The
1:56
goian blur effect is a stylistic choice
1:59
that you can fine-tune using the amount
2:01
horizontal and vertical sliders. The
2:04
crop option can be enabled or disabled
2:07
depending on your needs while 360° aware
2:09
is useful if you're working on a 360° VR
2:13
project. The brightness parameter allows
2:15
you to adjust the overall luminance of
2:17
your clip. The glow effect is great for
2:20
making your clip look less digital. You
2:23
can fine-tune it using the radius,
2:25
opacity, threshold, and softness
2:27
sliders. This effect is also compatible
2:30
with 360° projects. Finally, the mix
2:33
parameter lets you control the overall
2:36
intensity of the effect. The monochrome
2:38
option is enabled by default, but you
2:41
can uncheck it to use the plug-in for
2:43
color grading and create a custom look.
2:46
The plug-in is available now on filter
2:48
grade. If you found this video helpful,
