All right, it's the Berk of that gratitude guy
0:02
Cloudy days. Well, I live in the part of the country up in Seattle
0:06
where there's a lot of cloudy days. And I think about how many people associate cloudy days
0:11
gray, low, overcast, gloomy, with having the feeling of depression or being down or what have you
0:19
Well, cloudy days could certainly be a synonym for that, let's face it. But if you want to counteract the effect of cloudy days
0:25
use gratitude. Because let's remember, gratitude, embracing gratitude, sharing gratitude, writing in a gratitude journal
0:33
reframes your focus from one of something that you don't have to something that you do have
0:39
And when you remember on those cloudy days, yes, it's rainy, yes, it's gloomy, yes, it's cloudy
0:43
Above those clouds though, the sun is up there somewhere. And it's always how we reframe and relook at that
0:48
People always talk about the glass half full and the glass half empty. Well, if you choose to look at it half full
0:53
and think about everything you're grateful in your life, you will be amazed the mindset that changes
0:58
as you start focusing everything you have and your mind moves towards a state of gratitude
1:03
appreciation, or thankfulness versus, oh gosh, I don't have this, oh, it's raining
1:07
oh, it's a cloudy day. So on the next cloudy day, try writing in that gratitude journal
1:12
Take that seven or eight minutes, write in that journal, and watch how your mindset will shift from the cloudy day
1:18
to the things that are so positive in your life. It'll make a big, big difference
1:22
Try it, you'll like it, as they used to say years ago in an ad. That's the message for today
1:27
Remember, don't let those cloudy days get to you. Your gratitude journal can take care of that in a minute
1:32
That's it for today. Have a grateful day. We'll see you tomorrow
