Welcome to day 29 of the 30 mixed media
0:04
card challenge that I've set myself.
0:06
We're nearly there. Um if you want to
0:08
find all the others, you'll find them on
0:10
the screen in the description below on
0:12
my channel. You'll find them. And today
0:15
we're going to make this card here. So,
0:20
Going to need a piece of card that you
0:22
fold in half to form your card or a card
0:24
blank. And mine's 7 in x 5 in, but you
0:27
can do any size you like. First thing
0:30
I'm going to do is run an ink pad around
0:32
the edge. Now, mine's a nice goldy color
0:34
to go with the browns, but to be honest,
0:36
if you only have one ink pad, make it a
0:38
dark one cuz that will work on most
0:40
cars. It does a really nice effect. And
0:43
try and avoid dropping it like I did.
0:45
Um, I like to do it like this. You get
0:47
quite an uneven edge. You get lots, you
0:50
know, of variation, and I like that. And
0:53
then I'm just going to use some bits of
0:55
paper I've got left from other projects.
0:57
Now, rectangles of paper stuck on give
1:00
you a really good effect. Um, so I do
1:02
recommend in any project you do, just
1:04
hang on to all the little offcuts. And
1:07
I'm just going to stick a brown one to
1:10
the right hand side there. And then the
1:13
lighter colored one across the bottom.
1:16
And it's really all about building a bit
1:18
of balance on the front. Um, and you can
1:22
use whatever you've got, but because
1:24
I've got the clocks card topper there,
1:27
that's what I'm working around. So,
1:29
whatever you've got to go on the front
1:31
of your card, think about your
1:33
rectangles of paper and how they can
1:35
complement it. And I've just stuck those
1:37
straight on with a glue stick, but this
1:40
I'm going to use little sticky foam pads
1:43
because they will just raise it up, give
1:48
So you can see I'm putting quite a few
1:50
on because it's a large piece of card
1:53
that's going on there.
1:57
Just get the little backs off, which as
1:59
you know can take a while. Um, if you're
2:02
liking this video, could you give it a
2:03
thumbs up, please, so it spreads to more
2:05
people. And then we'll get this stuck on
2:08
here. And you'll see it just balances
2:12
on that card and just leaves us a good
2:14
space at the bottom for our greeting.
2:16
You can get all my greetings for free.
2:18
You can print them out and use them.
2:20
There's a link on the screen and in the
2:22
description below, and you'll find them
2:24
on my website. And that just gives you
2:26
lots of different options if you haven't
2:28
got any already. And again, I'm using
2:31
the little foam pads. And I'm going to
2:33
put it in the bottom right corner.
2:37
And I think that looks great. Hope
2:39
you've enjoyed it. Good luck with yours.
