Seaside TNR Release for Beloved Greek Street Cats

BVIRAL

I run a small animal shelter in Greece. Alongside rescuing and rehoming animals, we are actively involved in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) to improve the welfare of stray animals and prevent unwanted litters that often end up suffering on the streets. In this video, I am releasing several cats back to their territory after they were safely trapped and sterilized. Two of these cats are cared for by an elderly man who has been feeding them for many years. One of the females had repeatedly given birth in his home because she felt safe there. He was incredibly grateful to learn that she had finally been sterilized. This is why TNR work is so important. Most sterilizations are paid for out of pocket by volunteers, so we are always incredibly grateful to the kind people who choose to sponsor them. Every animal that is sterilized helps reduce the number of unwanted litters and makes a real difference. - Filmed on: 2026-05-29 - Location: Platanias, GR
