It’s 6AM at Indiana University, and we’re going live with FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. In this video, I take you behind the scenes of a national broadcast — running sound for live hits on FOX & Friends and FOX Sports.
I’ll show you my full setup:
MixPre-10 II with Wisycom wireless
CSM-1 shotgun for crowd sounds
MTH-610 handheld with a FOX & Friends mic flag
Transmission via dual DJI Mic 2s into a Sony A7S III on a Tilta Float rig
From coordinating frequencies with the FOX team to keeping up with the energy of hundreds of students, this one had it all — cold mornings, wild crowds, and that live TV rush you can’t replicate anywhere else.
If you like behind-the-scenes production, sound gear setups, and the organized chaos of live television, this one’s for you.
