If you're of the belief that bigger headphones are always better, then Bowers & Wilkins has a surprise for you with the P5 Wireless Headphones. They're small - they don't even cover your ears - and they're not flashy but the P5 Wireless are great nonetheless, with astonishing rich sound in a compact package. oh come on come on come on
0:07
Oh oh hey Dave Taylor here hang on hang
0:11
on hang on
0:12
okay so Dave Taylor here and yeah Here I
0:16
am I'm one of those guys that pulls out
0:18
my little tablet and actually watch
0:20
sporting events and I do this often
0:22
while I'm actually working on another
0:25
device now here's the thing is audio
0:27
right so I've been using and this is
0:30
vast
0:30
overkill I've been using the Bowers and
0:34
Wilkins p5 wireless for my audio side of
0:39
things and let's just put aside the
0:41
track event it's all leading up to the
0:43
Olympics which is cool and let's talk
0:46
about these headphones because these are
0:48
deceptively small little headphones they
0:51
fold up and they become very small right
0:54
very small profile here and the fact is
0:58
these are great headphones they sound
1:01
really really good and in fact the first
1:03
time I put them on I was really taken
1:05
aback by just how rich the sound was and
1:08
just how much bass there was because
1:10
they're not those full you know cupping
1:13
over your ears they don't close out all
1:15
the environmental sound around you they
1:17
just have a whole pile of OOP there's a
1:20
lot going on on these little very modest
1:24
headphones that make these a real
1:25
superstar and if you look online people
1:29
are nuts about these things the Bowers
1:31
and Wilkins P fives now these are the
1:33
wireless ones but they've done so much
1:35
attention to detail and to me the real
1:39
great trade-off is that it's just so
1:41
small they're just really easy to travel
1:44
they're easy to fit into my bag and you
1:47
know I have other headphones I've been
1:48
using for travel and they just they'll
1:50
be like this wide and these flattened so
1:53
much that they just fit very neatly into
1:56
my bag and no hassle and obviously
1:58
they're wireless and they're bluetooth
2:00
aptX which means it's a higher audio
2:02
quality and these actually run about 17
2:06
hours on a charge which is super easy
2:08
and they basically you just go ahead and
2:12
put them
2:12
head and all the controls are on the
2:15
right-hand side so I guess if you're
2:16
left-handed you have to sort of get used
2:18
to doing that but I'll give you some
2:20
close-ups on the side there are three
2:23
buttons we got our volume up/down and
2:25
then the middle button is a
2:26
multi-function so you can do pause play
2:29
and then with slightly different
2:30
variations you can do things like answer
2:33
an incoming phone call or skip tracks so
2:36
very easy and then on the bottom of the
2:38
right-hand one there's the microUSB port
2:41
for charging which is obviously helpful
2:43
and then there's this button that
2:46
actually I've never really encountered a
2:48
button like this because it slides to
2:51
power on power off and then you can push
2:53
it to actually go into bluetooth pairing
2:56
mode so it's kind of interesting to have
2:59
it be dual function but in practice you
3:02
really don't have to pair it very often
3:03
anyway so works out great and it's super
3:07
responsive even the buttons are
3:08
responsive so if I have it on and I
3:11
slide it to turn it off I just get this
3:12
nice little doo-doo-doo-doo and it off I
3:15
mean it's like instantly the whole thing
3:16
reacts really crisp and of course the
3:19
most important thing about any
3:21
headphones is the sound and I wish I
3:24
could have you hear these because
3:25
they're really pretty blow you away good
3:29
sound here and again you look at this
3:32
and you think these are pretty dinky
3:34
little headphones I can go and buy like
3:35
these fancy beats from Apple or
3:38
something and they're much bigger much
3:40
more cool-looking but these are really
3:44
really good I really like these in fact
3:46
these have become my headphones of
3:47
choice on my mobile warrior computer kit
3:52
and I was obviously listening to some
3:54
sports here on television via my laptop
3:58
etc but of course most of the time I'm
4:01
actually listening to audio and
4:02
listening to music and I just love these
4:04
things these are just the greatest
4:06
little headphones now to be fair they
4:09
come with a price tag so how much would
4:12
you pay for these Bowers and Wilkins b5
4:14
Wireless what oh no no they're more than
4:17
that so these are 399 bucks but good
4:22
news is that if you go to Bowers &
4:23
Wilkins com
4:25
ours - Wilkins dot-com they're actually
4:28
on sale right now for 349 and that's the
4:31
same price you can find him at Amazon so
4:33
I think 349 is actually just their sort
4:35
of market price instead of their
4:37
manufacturer's suggested retail 349
4:40
bucks is a lot of money for a pair of
4:42
headphones but these are beautiful pair
4:44
headphones and I really really like them
4:46
and I think you would too if you checked
4:48
them out so this is Dave Taylor and I
4:51
think I got to get back to the Olympic
4:53
preliminaries going on here so I'm gonna
4:55
have to catch you in my next video
