This is the remedy for tired feet. Let's check it out
0:02
Dave Taylor here and I'm checking out this
0:12
This is the Bob and Brad foot massager machine and it's Bob Shrupp and Brad Heineck and they're
0:19
physical therapists. They have their own YouTube channel and everything but they work with
0:24
a lot of people that need help with their physical condition and so they've started
0:29
designing gear and this is really nice. They've done a lot of things here that when you look
0:35
at other foot massage units you realize why don't they do that too. For example a carrying
0:41
handle. Why does no other device have that? They also have on the front they have this
0:47
little adjustment so you can change the angle because it's normally going to be flat on
0:54
the ground but it might be more comfortable for you to have it like that. Now you put
0:59
your feet in from this end and they go in all the way and deep so it's really nice
1:05
The controls are here. I know on the other side of the unit. Let me just spin it around
1:11
so you can see. So the controls are all right here and there are three primary controls
1:18
One is rolling speed and there's three different speeds. Air compression levels, heat levels
1:24
It's a 360 degree massage. It's really interesting actually when your feet are in because there's
1:29
a lot going on on all the different points of your foot and forward and backward rotation
1:36
It has a 15 minute timer. They recommend that after your 15 minutes if you're still awake
1:41
don't just immediately turn it on again. Give the machine a few minutes to cool off and
1:46
give your feet a few minutes to just sort of soak in what you just experienced. There's
1:51
that 110 degree support stand I just pointed out and it does have the carrying handle
1:57
It's a little heavy. It's 14 and a half pounds so this isn't something you're going to be
2:01
like probably toting around if you're 90 years old and really need to work on your feet
2:06
But once you put it in the right place you're probably not going to move it around anyway
2:11
Worth noting is that the foot sleeves unzip so you can take them out and give them a
2:16
wash as needed. Honestly wear socks. Wear clean socks and you'll never have to think
2:21
about that ever. Really I don't think these work very well barefoot and that's really
2:26
where you're going to get the sweat and everything. So don't worry. Yes you can clean the sleeves
2:32
You probably won't need to if you just wear clean socks every time you use it. So up to
2:36
a men's size 12 foot and I have a 10 and a half foot so I will tell you that when I put
2:42
my foot in here it fits. It's very comfortable. I'll switch and show you a sort of foot close
2:48
up so you'll be able to see what's going on in just a second. But I also wanted to say
2:54
it's designed to help with Achilles tendon issues with plantar fasciitis with blood circulation
3:02
There's a lot of things and with that heat and everything it's really pretty hard not
3:06
to fall asleep. It's very nice. In fact let's switch to foot cam. All right so we have foot
3:14
cam here. This is basically the experience of what you would see if you looked down
3:19
Now I just want to point out that the controls are right here and a long push turns it on
3:27
Then I can adjust the need from low to medium to high. I'll put it back to low and then
3:36
the air intensity is low, medium, high. Again I'll put it back to low and the heat level
3:43
that one I'll turn on high. So pretty easy you can get it all set up and then put your
3:48
feet in. Although I kind of prefer putting my feet in before it turns on but I can do
3:54
this and as you can see your feet go all the way in. It's a nice experience here and feels
4:04
really nice. So what I'm experiencing right now is the air bladders are expanding and
4:10
contracting to give you that sort of overall push across the surface of your foot and then
4:17
there are rollers that are moving from back to front. One's on my heel and one's approximately
4:23
centered in the pad of my foot and the whole thing is slowly heating up as that heating
4:29
element comes into play. And I have no complaints. This feels really lovely and of course as I talk
4:37
it's also starting to roll from front to back and there's another I don't know if it's a roller or
4:44
just the air bladder but there's a pushing sensation on the top of the base of my toes
4:50
And it is all in symmetry so you get the same experience on each foot simultaneously. It'd be
4:58
really weird if you didn't but some might do that. Anyway okay so let me jump back on camera
5:04
That was very nice I have to say. Now I do want to point out just a couple more things one of
5:09
which is it comes with power. It has to be plugged in. A unit like this uses too much power to
5:15
actually just work off batteries and the cable's reasonably long. It's not super long so here maybe
5:24
it's I don't know six feet total that's probably about right. So it's a six foot cable and it plugs
5:29
into a little extension on the edge here and now you're ready to plug it in and go. There's no
5:34
remote control. It's a very simple interface. There's not much to worry about. You're not going to get
5:40
confused. I feel like the icons on the control panel are pretty good at telling you what they are
5:47
I think they probably could have used color to help convey like which one was heat but be that
5:52
as it may you'll figure it out and you'll use it without any problems. It is a 28.8 watt motor and
5:58
a 10.5 liter air pump so there's some decent mechanicals inside of this too. I feel like it's
6:05
going to last a mighty long time and you know even if you use it every single night if it's only 15
6:11
minutes at a pop then you should have years and years out of this. This is really nice. You know
6:17
one of the things I think that they've done with this unit is they've looked at the other units and
6:21
said what's designed poorly on these other units. So they've really addressed a lot of that. I think
6:28
that the whole thing is just really terrific. I do have a couple of complaints though. So number one
6:34
I wish it had a remote control. I know that's kind of dorky but if I'm sitting back on a couch for
6:40
example and I have my feet in here I don't want to have to lean forward to adjust all of my controls
6:46
I would like to just have a remote of some sort. It's pretty easy and the second thing is I will
6:51
say that the experience is really nice but there's nothing that really addresses or touches my toes
6:58
and I kind of wish even just the air bladder expanding and contracting. I wish that included
7:04
my toes too but I think your expectation should be that it's from the pad of your foot all the
7:10
way back and to some extent up the sides of your ankle. It is a really nice foot massager. It is
7:16
not as nice as having a human being do it but it's a pretty darn close simulation and if you're
7:22
looking for shiatsu or something yeah it can do those sort of things and honestly if a person's
7:27
doing your foot massage are they going to be using heated towels and everything? Probably not. So this
7:34
is definitely one to check out. Now before I tell you the price let me just ask super quick if you
7:38
can subscribe to my channel. It's super easy just a click or a tap on that red subscribe button
7:43
and you're subscribed. Great. Now this is the Bob and Brad foot massager machine and it's $199.99
7:52
minus I just saw a $30 coupon so it's $169.99 at amazon.com. Your price may vary ever so slightly
8:01
depending on if that coupon's still there etc etc. I like it. This is my favorite of all of the foot
8:07
massage units I've ever tried. I'm going to wrap this up because I'm going to go back and do another
8:12
15 minutes. Sorry Brad, sorry Bob, but my feet need it. So I'll hope to catch you in my next video
