Why do dogs lick you

There is a true bond between people and our canine pals. Is that why they lick us? Is it their way of showing affection or could there be other reasons? In this video, we look at the theories as to why dogs like to lick us. Is it a dog’s way of kissing? Does it make the dog feel more secure? Do they like your reaction and hope to be rewarded? Or is your dog telling you he's hungry? Or he wants to go for a walk? Or could it just be that he likes the way you taste? Dogs can take in a lot of information from their tongues and so perhaps licking you, is telling him something about you. On the other hand, obsessive licking can be a sign of health problems, including allergies.
