From Artist to Storyteller | What I Learned at the Table
Aug 2, 2026
After a month of At the Table with ACleaverArt, today's conversation is a chance to look around, notice what we've built, and ask what all this showing up has actually taught me.
I spent the last month sharing artwork, telling its stories, talking about how those stories have changed, and keeping a promise to myself that I would keep showing up.
And somewhere along the way, I learned something:
I'm not just a painter. I'm a storyteller. I'm a dreamer.
Art has always been how I express myself, advocate, educate, question, connect, and turn the things inside my head into something another person can experience.
This month helped me see that more clearly.
In this conversation we explore:
What I learned from showing up consistently
Looking back at a month of At the Table
Art as expression, advocacy, education, and connection
Realizing that storytelling is at the heart of my creative practice
Sharing the journey instead of trying to figure everything out alone
Taking the weight of the world off your back
