At the Table- Perspective Changes the Story | Walk Me Home & Finding Joy
Jul 30, 2026
Today we're talking about perspective, storytelling, and what happens when we allow the meaning of something to change as we change.
I didn't come to the table with one particular artwork planned for today's conversation. Instead, we're reflecting on what these past few weeks of sharing the stories behind my art have actually meant—and how showing up, telling those stories, and connecting with all of you has changed the way I see them.
And then someone handed me the perfect visual aid:
A ridiculously tiny pair of sunglasses. 😂
They don't help me see particularly well, but they became a reminder that sometimes changing what we see is as simple as changing the lens we're looking through.
In this conversation we explore:
How perspective changes the stories we tell
Finding meaning in ordinary objects and moments
Letting our stories grow instead of expecting them to stay the same
Why art doesn't need to be perfect—or even serious
Showing up as your authentic, playful self
Supporting the people who support us
Choosing “get to” instead of constantly living in “have to”
Finding a few minutes for something that delights you
