Meet Your Muse (8/11) | Tiny Rituals That Keep Your Creativity Going
Aug 11, 2026
What if keeping your creativity alive didn’t require a huge burst of inspiration?
Sometimes it’s the tiniest things that keep us moving: a morning coffee, a five-minute sketch, an alarm that reminds us to create, keeping our supplies within reach, or simply showing up at the same time and saying, “Now is the time that I paint.”
In today’s Meet Your Muse, we’re talking about the tiny rituals that quietly become part of our creative process — the little habits, reminders, and practices that help us keep creating even when we’re tired, distracted, perfectionistic, or not quite sure what we’re doing.
I’m also sharing some of the rituals that have helped me build my own creative practice, including (not excluded to):
☕ Morning routines and the rituals that fuel us
✏️ The five-minute sketch
🎨 Creating something “bad” on purpose to get past perfectionism
The point isn't to create a rigid schedule or turn creativity into another obligation.
It’s about finding the tiny things that make creating easier to return to.
Because sometimes five minutes really does matter.
A few marks become a sketch.
A sketch becomes an idea.
