What's up, who, what, where? It's Kelsey Ballerini, and today I'm going to show you
0:03
the chaos that is what is in my suitcase. So for starters, the bag itself. I'm actually really not this bougie, but this is a sentimental
0:23
bag because one of the first ever tours that I got to open for was Rascal Flatts in 2016
0:30
which is making me feel a little bit older right now, but that's okay. And for end of tour gifts
0:36
which is something that we do on tour, in country at least, the guys got me this beautiful set of luggage
0:43
and I've used it ever since. It's like my favorite travel bag and I also just feel real fancy when I have it
0:49
So this is our starting point. This is our palette. Here we go
0:53
Okay, item number one, the most basic staple. You need a good pair of black leggings
1:01
They're good for travel. These are like my flight go-to. Delta is sick of me in these
1:08
Let me tell you something. But then also I can like get off the plane or the bus and go straight into soundcheck
1:13
You can work out in them. You can not work out in them, which is what I've been doing
1:18
I highly recommend that. Item number two, and this is low-key a shameless plug
1:24
But this is a t-shirt that happens to also be my merch
1:30
And this is the first time that I have merch that's just not my face on it
1:35
So I wear it because it's cute. Look at the back. It says I'm doing my best
1:41
It has kind of like that vintage feel where it's really soft and kind of worn already
1:48
And I would wear this with the leggings as well. I would wear this with a pair of cut-off jean shorts
1:52
item number three a good pair of jeans these are both and show off the shop
2:02
the jeans these are both a gold these are just like the normal high These have a really interesting detail on the waistband which I think is like the asymmetrical line is very nice
2:16
I love crop tops and also body suits, and both of these jeans go with both
2:23
So I just think the more that you wear them, the more that they form to your body
2:27
and the more that they get softer and worn in, and it just becomes like, I don't know
2:32
just it's like a comfort thing for me now like my favorite jeans are like it's a comfort blanket
2:36
next is skincare just when I'm traveling a lot my skin gets really dehydrated and breaks out and
2:43
all the things when I'm on stage I have on a lot of makeup a lot of glitter um and so just taking
2:48
care of your skin is really important and so these are some of my favorite self-help self-care moments
2:54
specifically these these are eye patches and I put them on as I'm doing makeup for my shows because
3:00
not only do they help de-puff but also my makeup artist Kelsey Denehan taught me that it's like a
3:05
stencil for where your eyeshadow should go. So I just put it there and then it's foolproof. You can't
3:11
even mess it up. It just tells you exactly where to go. So they're called Skin Ice Lens. They're
3:16
very nice and they're cooling. This has always been my go-to makeup item. I just think that
3:22
mascara, it's like it's just like a cup of coffee for your face. It makes you look way more awake
3:28
than you are, way more put together than I am. And these are my two favorites
3:32
I use Exhibitionist when I'm doing shows or something more dramatic. It's super buildable, super big
3:38
And then this is Lash Blast. This is the OG. And it's just the good stuff
3:44
So if I'm traveling with any makeup, it is mascara and it is one of these two. The next item is a purse
3:51
It's Chanel. And she's cute. I really like having kind of a mix of really beautiful
4:00
high-end pieces and also just worn in, comfy stuff that you can go to the mall and grab
4:08
I just think it a statement piece and it really beautiful and something that you can hold onto and pass down later in life I never leave the house without a good pair of cowgirl boots
4:20
I am a country singer, I'm from Tennessee, born and raised, I live in Nashville now
4:25
and I just, I think they go with everything and I'm sure people are like, no they don't
4:29
but they do to me. And I buy a pair of shoes anytime that there's like a mountaintop moment
4:36
So these are relatively new. I bought these when I kicked off my tour and put out my album
4:43
So these are my subject to change heart first tour Cal Girl boots
4:48
And they're brown suede and they're yummy and I love them. And I never leave the house without a pair of these
4:54
Another must have is a hair mask. This is IGK. I love this one
5:01
There are several that I use. I am really hard on my hair. I'm not a natural blonde
5:06
Hard to believe, I know. But I just have a lot of breakage and damage
5:12
and just constantly using heat on my hair for shows and everything, I need to protect it when I can
5:17
So this is something that I do once a week, in the shower, three minutes, rinse it out
5:22
and I like to think it helps me out. I've got a weird one for ya
5:27
What is this, you ask? Let me tell you. It is, it's a face lifter
5:32
It's, what's it called actually? The Pure Lift. And, um, when you like, I, like I said, I travel a whole lot and, um, when I'm on planes and stuff
5:41
you get really puffy. And so you just turn it on. I'm not going to do it right now, but
5:45
it sends like electric currents through your face and you just go like this and like this
5:53
And, um, it just kind of feels like a tingle, but it helps just de-puff any water retention or
5:58
whatever in your face. So if I hop off a plane and go right into an interview, like I truly just did
6:03
this helps. Another odd one is my headphones. These are actually my in-ear
6:10
monitors that I've retired these from my actual show because your ears actually
6:16
change as you get older so these no longer have the snuggest fit but on planes and stuff I still use these and as you can see they literally are shaped to my ear
6:28
So you put them in, and you can't hear anything else, and that's how I prefer it
6:37
I think that you can dress up anything with just some gold jewelry
6:43
I love ear cuffs, I love fun rings for stage and real life to be honest
6:49
I love a good pair of gold hoops. You can probably tell
6:53
I think they just dress up any outfit. Yeah, I think like layerable pieces are really nice
7:00
So if you're going for more minimal, you keep one on. Or if you want to like glam up, just add it all
7:07
Okay, so I don't know where I got these, but that's kind of the point
7:11
because I feel like I have just unintentionally become a sunglass hoarder
7:17
And that's because I somehow lose them, buy a new pair, and then find them
7:22
And then the pattern continues. So I just, I feel like I accidentally have a pair
7:27
from like every city I've been in. And it is a travel staple
7:31
I am a like perfume girl. I just have so many different scents for different moods
7:39
and different like just vibes. This is the one that I keep with me in my bag all the time
7:46
So it's my consistent. I love Le Labo. This is the Noir
7:52
I also love Rose and I also love Centile 33. But I'm just, I'm a perfume girl
7:59
So this is subject to change. But this just happens to be what I have in my bag right now
8:06
All right, y'all, that was Packed with Who, What, Where. And thank you for hanging out with me and seeing what's in my bag
8:11
and I will be bringing my bag on the road and I hope to see you there
8:15
Until then, just check out my record, Subject to Change
