The Ultimate PlayStation vs Xbox Gaming Setup

This isn't... That's an Xbox Series X, ladies and gentlemen. Now, the coolest thing about these next-gen consoles is the fact that they support more resolution and higher frame rates

However, the TV that you're using currently may not be able to take advantage of that next-gen console

And you've already pre-ordered it, whether it's the Xbox Series X or the PlayStation 5

So now you need to start thinking about getting yourself a TV that's going to be able to make the most of that console that you're waiting for so patiently that you hit the pre-order button on

And so in true Unbox Therapy fashion, we're going to go completely overboard here and create kind of the ultimate PlayStation 5 versus Xbox Series X tandem mode double display setup so that each of these can permanently be on one of the two next generation consoles

These are the latest OLED from LG. The 77GX Gallery Design. Super slim

Wall mountable. And yes of course they're going to support high refresh

They're going to support 4K which those consoles are going to output

And low input lag as well which is something people need to be aware of and looking for

When they pick up that next display. next display. Also their OLED which is as you know it's a favorite of mine. You know 150 inches

of gaming. You could have me on the Xbox, Willy Do on the PlayStation, the various exclusives. It's

the best of both worlds. You don't have to decide. You get both. Also real quick LG's hosting a

virtual studio where you can do a kind of 3D experience walking through what is like a

convention center and you can check out all their various products including maybe an even more exciting display compared to these They rollable tech They have a rollable OLED I have not seen it in the studio yet However Jack has told me that it coming at some point

in the future. So you can get a virtual version of the experience of standing in front of one of

All right, let me explain how this is all gonna work. Let me explain this to you, okay

The whole concept of this setup, which actually, I mean, it turned out a little more polished than I expected when it all started

Two different TVs. This is PlayStation on the right-hand side because it's such a conversation around having to choose which next generation console

Well, why don't you, what if you just have both instead? And the beauty of this is we actually have the Xbox Series X

and I can play it right now. I can use it right now. That's the real thing

Now on the PlayStation side, the PS5 is not here yet. Sony, where you at

However, we do have a 4K capable PlayStation, PS4 Pro, which you may recall

It's been out for a while. Okay. Get up. Yikes. That's the rough stuff

4K capable, but at 60 Hertz. Now where these TVs begin to shine

is actually at refresh rates beyond 60 hertz. So if we step over to the Xbox Series X

and you look at the specifics of the display here, oh, would you look at that

That's 120 hertz on a 77-inch OLED with a Series X connected to it

I feel like I'm 11 years old right now at 4K UHD resolution Now if I head over to the 4K TV details this is where you can find out the capabilities of your current TV

And this is where you're going to get real motivated to potentially upgrade your TV after your Series X or PlayStation 5 shows up at your doorstep

I'll be honest, this game has no business looking this good. It is such a high-res cartoony look right now

Your TV supports 4K UHD 120. Also, this little information piece, which is important as well

You do need to use an ultra-high-speed HDMI cable in order to take advantage of 4K 120

However, that's going to ship with the Series X. I presume the PlayStation 5 would do the same

The sound surprises me. This is a crazy thin TV. Look at this thing, all right

Where is the sound? Where is the sound living in there? I don't even think you need a sound bar

I don't know. It'll hit you. and the 4K, it really starts to pay off once you scale up

People ask me this all the time. What size of TV do I need? Well, it really depends how far away you're going to sit from it

And the closer you are to it, and the bigger the display

the more you can benefit from extra pixels. What if we got Will in here for a little..

And somebody gets to play Xbox 360. Yeah. Where is he? Will

Where is he? Terrifying. Hearing that, imagine. I'm eating

Here's the way the setup works. Don't you see the green lights and the blue lights

One of us plays Xbox, the other plays PlayStation. Where one sibling says, no Xbox

The other one says, no, Sony. Yeah, as long as we can share a couch, it's all good

This is wild We got our own 77 inches each Mm OLED each 4K each Mm 120 each Mm

You're on a next-gen console. I'm on an old-gen console. It's not really fair from that standpoint

That's true. Once we get the PS5, then it's even. I don't know. Yeah

I agree. Series X versus PS5. But the PS5, we're going to be able to just swap it right in there

on the xbox series x so some of the titles that you may be more interested in as far as those fast

refreshes are concerned i can't actually show them off at the moment if you decide to go with

the series x or the playstation 5 then this would kind of be the ultimate scenario for how to enjoy

it plenty of real estate to take advantage of all those extra pixels the refresh the game mode and of

course all the benefits of OLED which I've talked about extensively on the channel slender package

super slim so the only thing left we have to do to complete this setup is just plop in the

PlayStation 5 when it arrives and then it's the head-to-head battle that you've all been waiting

for. Shout out to LG once again for sending out the 77 GX OLED displays that are the core of this

particular setup. It's the whole package deal for a cinematic game. It is Sony PlayStation on one

side, 77 inches OLED versus Xbox, Microsoft on the other side. The Series X is there and waiting
