DON'T Buy The Samsung Galaxy Note 8... Here's Why - https://youtu.be/_gEjmghHkD8?list=PL7u4lWXQ3wfI_7PgX0C-VTiwLeu0S4v34
The RaspiBoy is puts old school video games in your pocket (a very large pocket). This unit from 8b craft pairs with a Raspberry Pi and emulation software to bring back the classics. I tested Super Nintendo, GameBoy and GameBoy advance but the unit also supports other retro console content including games from NES and Sega MegaDrive.

So this package just showed up and I had to crack into it to see what it was
0:03
It's a special little device from a company called Raspy Boy. Raspy Boy
0:09
And the name is a combination of the Raspberry Pi and the Game Boy
0:14
I'm just gonna show you. This guy has found a way to get a Raspberry Pi inside of this contraption
0:20
Look at this thing! With a resemblance to an SNES controller here with a screen on the top
0:27
And wedged inside of here is a Raspberry Pi that drives it all for purposes that I'm sure you're aware
0:34
with the capability to run emulators and play various games. But it doesn't end there, you don't have to just play on this display
0:41
If you look around the device, you'll notice there's an HDMI port over here
0:45
so you can output that to a television and actually turn this into like a Raspberry Pi console
0:50
And then through these USB ports on the top, you can use traditional controllers like this one
0:56
Here's a USB version of an SNES controller. But for me, it's actually exciting just as is, as a package deal
1:04
Super comfy to hold, a speaker built in. On this side of the unit here, you have a micro USB to charge it up
1:10
a volume wheel, a headphone jack, and then on the top of the device is where your three USBs are
1:15
Now also in the box, as mentioned, he included a controller that I can test out, and an SD card
1:22
Now you also included some other stuff here, some replacement buttons. The SNES you might be familiar with if you grew up in North America
1:29
or you can use the pre Famicom style controller colors Again it easy to make these modifications and there also a sticker here if you want to have more contrast on the X a Y B buttons you can
1:44
install that right there now you guys know I'm a big fan of retro gaming in
1:49
general and this one gives you the ability to play various games from
1:54
different systems through different emulators alright let's boot this up and see what it's all about you see the loading icon there for the raspberry pi
2:02
Emulation Station, whoa, okay, we're in Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color
2:09
Macintosh, Mega Drive, Nintendo, MS-DOS, Ports, RetroPie, ScumVM, Super Nintendo, and Infocom
2:18
I kind of want to launch Super Nintendo. Let's load up a little Mario Kart, why not
2:23
Now for those of you screaming right now, well, well you need to own the game if you're gonna play the ROM
2:29
If you're gonna load the ROM on there, I'm very happy to let you know that I am the proud owner of an SNES version of Super Mario Kart
2:36
So no worries. Listen to that. Oh man! 50cc, cause I gotta get back in the groove, alright
2:54
Oh, he's not one with the acceleration, is he? He's a top speed guy
2:59
Yes, sir. Keep seeking baby No Alright not terrible what did I get
3:09
Second I mean not bad How about this though look at me right now SNES on the go sky put it all together It really crazy You got gotta visit his site and check it out for yourself It feels like a legitimate piece of hardware Okay let try some Mega Man 3
3:25
This is original, that's original Game Boy right there. Woo-Wee! You're telling me you're not gonna destroy some bad guys with that
3:36
Huh? Will he do? I remember this! I haven't played this in forever
3:49
Sparkman. Oh. Right? Okay. Ah! Jeez, off to a bad start here
4:00
Holy, I don't remember it being this hard. Ah! These kids, they don't know
4:09
They don't know what we went through man. Game saves and Unlocking things nah, man jumping over
4:18
Beans that are killing you all right getting electrocuted. It's my childhood right there. Holy all right
4:25
Let's play one more real quick You sample that that's some hip-hop right there
4:53
Jeez Skeleton thrown in bones You done brother Anyway, listen, this thing, it's extravagant
5:08
It's unbelievable. If you're into retro gaming at all, this has to be on your radar
5:12
You can load practically anything onto it, whatever you want. And it's relatively inexpensive if you check it out
5:19
Now granted this was a kickstarter first so I feel the need to let you guys know that
5:23
and it's a relatively small outfit right now. I said yes I'll feature the product but send it over to me in the complete package
5:29
Now if you order this thing just remember there's a DIY component. You'll be adding the Raspberry Pi yourself
5:35
That said it's incredibly easy to do. It's a few screws, there's no soldering or anything like that
5:41
And maybe you like a project like that. There's nothing quite like this out there
5:45
Certainly not with the HDMI out, the ability for multiplayer, and the diversity of emulators that it's capable of running
5:52
I've just played a few games here. SNES, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy
5:57
Your experience will just depend on how you configure yours. I think it's a pretty cool looking thing as well
6:03
And I like the fact that they made it so comfy to hold. Anyway, what can I say? I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff
6:08
If this is interesting to you, then check out the links down below. And shout out to these guys for sending this out
6:13
I'm about to be on an airplane. I'm just guessing, but I think I'll be the only guy on this system right here
6:18
Not with my hands cramped on the Nintendo Switch. No, I'll be playing this stuff like a fine wine from the 90s
6:24
It's been getting better with age. I mean, you gotta be into it, let's be honest
6:28
It's not... The kids nowadays, they're spoiled. They got the new... What do they got? The Breath of the Wild? Huh
6:32
It's actually a good game. I played it. I put a lot of hours into it, so..
