Power BI - Duplicate page

Hello friends and welcome. In this segment of the video we are going to see how to duplicate pages in Power BI desktop

So guys once we have created the visuals, PowerBi desktops gives me an ability to duplicate this page with few minor alteration

Now let's take for an example that I have the revenue sold by different regions

Now in the next page I would like to get the same report but this time I'll make a minor alteration that means this time I will

get the units instead of revenue so instead of doing the same work and again and

again we are reducing the hassle by duplicating the page and just changing one

minor field that is the field for units instead of field for revenue now let's

go ahead and see how to duplicate pages in power BI desktop in our practical

approach hello friends and welcome in this part of the video I'm going to show

you how to duplicate pages in Power BI all right so let get started Now before I get started off just giving you one hint that why there is a need to duplicate pages in Power BI There can be n number of reasons

The first reason which comes into your mind or the first reason which comes into my mind is that sometimes the color combination that we use is not acceptable by the client, by a boss or by the customer to whom your report, you are showing this report to

So sometimes we have to make a combination of color combination. and we have to choose the right probability which will look the best so for the same

reason I will duplicate the pages in such a way that in the format pane we simply

just have to go and change its color all right so there's the one reason which which I can

think of second thing that let's take for an example that right now the this particular

page is showing revenue by manufacturer revenue by region and revenue by year and category

but for the same thing I have to create a report now this time it won't be revenue

it will be by unit so instead of doing the entire work again and again it better to duplicate that page in such a way your time is saved so by saving time you can actually earn more amount of money

don't you think so guys so in order to avoid the donkey work we generally tend to

duplicate the pages and do the necessary changes instead of creating a report

right from the scratch so these are the two things which comes into my there can be

n number of reasons as well so let me show you how it is done it's very simple you

you as you can see and i have already shown you that we can create

n number of pages by selecting this plus button and adding a new page

because it's not necessary that all your projection will be uh... contained in this page itself right you might need page two there might

be a probability where you might need page three as well okay so in order to

duplicate the page what i have to do is to simply right click on it

and there's an option call as duplicate page the moment i click on duplicate page

this duplicate page is being created out here and from here I can change the necessary projection by changing its let say we will this time what we will do is we will change this projection by revenue not by revenue but by units so I

get the units same projection but instead of revenue I'm taking this as a

unit same thing goes out here instead of revenue I will select units and boom

I have my reports ready so we do not have to do much of work we can simply

copy paste the same thing and change the necessary measures from the fields menu

out here so I can save loads of time and if I want to change this name of

this particular page I simply right click on this page and I can rename it and

this time let's say this will be my sample to right guys so in this way you can

duplicate page and rename page in power be I which is compared to

which is comparatively an easy task among all the things that we have seen so far
