Is there anything that you've learned
0:10
about yourself, your character, your
0:14
strength, your courage? Is there
0:16
anything characteristics that you've
0:18
seen in yourself the past 3 years that
0:20
maybe surprised you that you didn't know
0:22
were there? You didn't know were there
0:24
with that abundance? Like what have you
0:27
learned about you?
0:29
Someone approached me last week actually
0:32
asking they were looking for people to
0:34
interview who have been caretakers and
0:37
it was a really cool opportunity and I
0:39
was very excited and then when they
0:40
asked me what sacrifices I'd made as a
0:42
caretaker I I like totally spaced I was
0:45
like h I mean I haven't been able to
0:46
travel and it was the lamest answer so
0:48
they did not select me and I was super
0:50
bummed that I feel like I kind of blew
0:52
it because I didn't they're looking for
0:54
people who like sacrificed their whole
0:55
life to be a caretaker and part of me is
0:57
like wait I that. But when I was telling
1:00
my mom about it, she was just like,
1:02
"That's cuz you don't see what you're
1:04
doing as a sacrifice." Not to make
1:06
myself sound like a martyr because I'm
1:07
definitely not and I definitely see.
1:09
But I think it's it's showed me a side
1:13
of compassion in myself that that I
1:17
forget to acknowledge. I think.
