Here's a few personal things. I've been moved in seven different foster homes before I even got
0:14
adopted. But obviously as an adopted child, you'd think, oh, this is going to be temporary. It's not
0:21
going to be forever. So that's what I was thinking. But then when they showed me their love
0:24
I noticed, hey, it's okay to let go, just get comfortable with it, you know
0:30
And it was forever from then on. So, I mean, it's tough as a seven-year-old not knowing what's going on
0:40
Yeah. But you eventually learn different ways to cope with it. Some ways aren't the healthiest, but then you just realize, hey, this isn't the best
0:50
so just move on to something that's better, you know. What advice do you have for foster parents
0:55
My advice for foster parents would be be patient with the child because they've been through a lot, or maybe not a lot, but just a lot in general
1:09
Just be patient. They'll get there. They'll get comfortable. um don't overstep their boundaries is one thing because that's just very hard for
1:21
a lot of foster children um try to see things from their perspective it might not be
1:29
like right in your eyes right away but then it'll eventually make sense you know um
