We're not going to go each round, just go from rounds three to seven and look at some
0:04
guys there. I mean, there's an obvious one. Aaron Kibiharju is probably the biggest steal there in fourth round, could potentially be
0:11
a top pairing defenseman down the road. So Peter, anyone else that you're kind of looking at from the rest of the draft
0:20
This is an easy one. Seattle Kraken taking Jakob Fibberga at 200th second overall
0:24
I do not understand how you could let a well-rounded defender in his first season in the OHL coming
0:32
over from Europe fall that much because I know the Steelheads had some, you know, they
0:38
had their moments, they had their ups and downs, they didn't have the best playoff, but I thought Jakob Fibberga was a very strong pillar on that back end
0:44
And he adapted very, very well from the beginning of the season till now
0:48
I mean, he was among some of the top rookie defenders in production
0:52
He had 43 points. I really thought that he could have easily have been a fourth rounder, maybe the latest
1:01
a fifth. Again, I was probably a little bit higher up, but I had him ranked third
1:05
So I think if he went anywhere in that range, it would have been great value. But to see him drop as far as he did, that is not necessarily concerning, but it's just
1:15
value for the Seattle Kraken who needed some more steady, reliable kind of two-way defenders
1:21
He was definitely one of them or has that upside to be a two-way player, very strong
1:25
defensively and even plays with a bit of an edge as well. So yeah, he finished fifth in rookie scoring all last season
1:33
He was the lone defender in rookie scoring in that top five. So big upside there
1:39
That is a mistake to let him drop two, three rounds after where he should have been. 100%
1:46
One other guy I'll mention is Ryerson Lienders. Fifth round pick. I mean, we were talking about him being the first goaltender off the board and one of
1:55
the first and he goes almost to the end, 219th overall to the Buffalo Sabres
2:01
I mean, the Sabres don't really need goaltending, but when you see a guy like that in the seventh
2:06
round, take him. I mean, who knows? I mean, he could end up being your starter down the road if he definitely has that potential
2:13
I'm not sure why he dropped so far. A really good goaltender, I don't know
2:21
So yeah, that was a definite big one for me
