The Spirit, lots of pretty good names as well
0:03
for players to watch. I already mentioned Josh Bloom. He's been pretty good throughout the playoffs
0:09
They got, he's got 11 points. And he's all, and then you got Owen Beck
0:15
We all know how good he is, Montreal Canadiens prospect. Has already played in an NHL game
0:20
but that was an emergency recall, I think it was last season
0:24
And, you know, he's had a pretty good regular season, 14 points in the playoffs
0:32
And Hunter Height, who we've talked about quite a bit as well, and got nine goals in the playoffs
0:39
Yeah, and Rodmund Janenko, who leads the playoffs, or that leads the team with 17 points
0:46
There's another guy to kind of keep an eye on. But I think the bigger guy
0:49
and then you got, of course, draft eligible Zane Parekh, who we all know how much he's scored
0:54
and have points in the regular season with, I believe, 92. Not dominating as much in the playoffs
1:01
He's got nine assists. And, you know, most of his points have been assists
1:08
So, I mean, he's not dominating as much as his regular season, but still doing a pretty good job
1:12
And he's gonna be one of the, I think, the defensemen to watch throughout the tournament
1:17
because we all know how good offensively he can be. And in a short tournament, he can maybe get, you know
1:22
catch fire and be a big difference maker too. So, you know, throughout the regular season
1:29
the Spirit were a pretty good two-way team. They were great offensively, pretty good defensively
1:34
In the playoffs, they haven't been as good defensively. They've been allowing a lot more goals
1:39
a lot closer in the goal differential than they were in the regular season. But, you know, anything can happen
1:45
in this type of short tournament. So I think the Spirit, even though they aren't coming in as a champion
1:51
I think are gonna have a pretty big chance of being, you know, making it to the final
1:56
and putting up a big fight against these powerhouses we've talked about already. I think they're gonna have a pretty big chance
2:01
even though, you know, they kind of, I don't wanna say backed in, but you're a default
2:06
So, I mean, you didn't win yourself to go in, but I think they're definitely deserving of being here
2:14
Guys have anything to add about the Spirit going in here? I just wanna say, you know
2:23
their leading score is not who you would expect. I mean, we would all expect, you know
2:28
Zayn proactively the way Luke Misa, but you know, with the Spirit, it's all scoring by committee
2:33
because they do have that depth. But Rodwin Dionisio leading the way with 17 points
2:38
is actually very impressive. And I think he just got his ELC done already
2:43
as a result of his stellar play, you know, in the OHL playoffs
2:48
So a big shout out to him because he was really dynamite. And, you know, he was a really big factor in that series
2:55
against the London Knights for the Spirit. I mean, he was absolutely dynamic
2:59
And many thought that maybe Zayn Perak would probably take over. Maybe not as much
3:05
I don't know if that's gonna put a damper on Perak's, you know, draft stock, but, you know
3:09
it's good to see other players step it up in the playoffs because that's what you wanna see, right
3:13
So I just wanted to give a big shout out to him because he was really, really dynamic
3:18
for the Spirit on the back end
