Dimion sent me their pinpointer metal detector so I just want to do a quick unboxing and test it out to see how well this works
0:05
So first thing we see is going to be the metal detector itself. Then we also have this loop, an owner's manual, and a storage pouch
0:11
So here's a quick look at the metal detector and right on top we're going to have the lid. And thankfully there is going to be a 9 volt battery
0:17
So with this belt pouch there's just going to be this buckle and you can easily just put it on your belt
0:21
And I don't currently have a belt on so I'll just put it in between here. And then this will go right inside and it stays in place
0:28
Now as far as controls go, this is pretty straightforward. We press the button here, it illuminates the light, and the pin pointer is active
0:35
So here I have my watch. If I go over it like this, it's going to start beeping and vibrating, and the closer it gets
0:41
the quicker it beeps. And at the end, this is going to have the strongest signal
0:44
So if I'm over it like this, it's pretty fast, but when I go like this, as you heard, it's
0:53
even faster. So I just want to go ahead and just go all over here to see if I find anything
0:58
So after checking this area over here I was able to find a few things. I found a part of a bike chain some metal pieces of the post a bolt this metal piece and I not sure what this is maybe like some pipe or tubing Now this did end up beeping a lot of times but I realized some of those times were false
1:14
because I was just a little bit too close to the fence over here and then other times things were
1:19
dug deep and since I didn't really have any tools I couldn't go ahead and dig in with my nails or
1:24
the little sticks I found over here. Now one more thing to take into consideration is going to be
1:27
the detection distance depending if it's stainless steel, copper, nickel or gold. It'll range from 0.8
1:32
inches all the way up to roughly three inches. Now this isn't really waterproof, but you still can use
1:37
it in the water partially. You don't want to completely submerge it because the water will
1:41
seep in through here and then it'll ruin the battery. You also don't want the water level too high that it can go through the button or through the LED, but just enough from like this and below
1:49
So if I throw this metal piece in the bucket and then just put this in here
1:54
it still goes ahead and works. And here you could see it was only partially wet in the tip. And let
2:00
me try that again. So overall if you're looking for a compact easy to use metal detector that
2:13
also comes with a holster carrying case definitely check this one out
