So ProHear sent me their hearing protection headphones, so let's check them out
0:02
All right, so here's everything that comes inside the box. For starters, there's going to be an instruction manual
0:07
There's also a service card, a little baggie with this white charging cable that's USB-C to USB-A
0:12
and this auxiliary cord, and then this case which has the headphones themselves
0:16
And here it is. So this looks pretty hefty. On the side here, you've got the logo ProHear with the ear cups that look sort of like a leatherette kind of feel and pretty squishy
0:25
And same thing goes for the band, although the band does feel a lot more squishier with the foam
0:29
and you got the pro here logo on top and then finally on the back side or on the other side of
0:33
the ear cup is going to be the controls and we got four different controls with these soft touch
0:38
buttons and i believe this one is going to be the right ear cup since it has all the controls
0:41
and on top of that there's also going to be some other ports here so usb-c port to charge it
0:46
and an auxiliary port if you want to just connect it to your phone so let's see how these feel so
0:51
far these feel pretty comfy pretty insulated around my ears so a lot of the noise is being
0:56
blocked off but of course we're not going to be able to tell how well these work until we take it
1:00
outside and actually use it with something such as a leaf blower and then also connect these to my
1:04
phone to see how well the audio works. All right so it's time to connect this to bluetooth and to do
1:08
so we just gotta hold this power button here. The indicator lit blue and then this also said power
1:15
on. All right so it showed up on the phone and then right here you could see em037
1:22
And it said bluetooth connected so this should be good to start working. All right so the headset's
1:26
fully connected so I just want to play some music and then so you could see if there's any audio leak when I actually put these on so I'll start it
1:33
Alright so there's music playing. And right now I have it at oh yeah I can barely hear myself talk actually but I about halfway audio and if you bring it closer I not sure if there an audio leak or not
1:50
As far as sound goes so far, it sounds pretty good. But now let's actually take it outside to use it with the leaf blower
1:56
So I had my younger brother use the leaf blower and I walked around. I got close to proximity and I will say it does help reduce the noise, but it's not going to be perfect
2:04
It's not going to be a hundred percent, but it's a lot better than if I didn't have any protection on at all
2:09
Now when it comes to the controls the buttons are pretty simple to use you have these two arrows right here
2:14
If I press the arrow closest to my face, that's going to be volume up
2:18
If I press the arrow furthest from my face, that's volume down and now the button at the bottom is the power button
2:23
And if I press it, it'll bring up siri or whatever voice assistant you have and the end button on the top is where the majority of the
2:30
controls happen. If I press it once, it's going to play or pause. If I press it twice, it'll go
2:36
forward a track. If I triple press it, it would go back a track. And now when it comes to calls
2:41
it's pretty simple. Just press it once and it'll answer the call. And if I'm getting another call
2:46
I can press it twice and I'll switch from the first call to the second call. But if I long press
2:51
it for about two seconds, it's going to end the second call and switch to the first one. Now
2:55
if I want to put call on mute, I just press the end button and it's going to mute the microphone
2:59
and I can press it again to unmute. And even though it wasn't the warmest of days
3:04
I was still pretty sweaty, probably because I was working raking the leaves when my brother was just blowing the leaves
3:09
and my ears on the inside were a bit sweaty, although they weren't drenched
3:14
but I did feel them there. So if you're looking for some noise protection when you work outside with a snowblower
3:19
a leaf blower or heavy machinery, and you also want to listen to music or take calls
3:23
then definitely check this headset out by Pro here
