0:00
yes ladies and gentlemen that's how I
0:02
wanted to start it because that's how
0:03
I'm met him all right Heather B talk to
0:06
me about it that was before the nine
0:08
plus Grammy Awards Heather be sheesh
0:11
that was before the Emmy Awards Heather
0:13
be the time 100 impact award Heather be
0:16
she that was before Beats by Drake The
0:19
multi-billion Dollar Deals Heather be
0:21
that was before
0:23
[Applause]
0:24
Microsoft you stupid we go back to the
0:28
app band Clan dang to the very
0:32
beginning I had that that that freestyle
0:34
had have been like 90 99 98 yeah wow
0:39
yeah 99 98 but you've been doing that
0:43
for longer than that and that's and
0:44
that's how we met and I like to bring it
0:46
back up often uh because everybody has a
0:49
beginning yeah right and when you're
0:51
able to look at what you've done since
0:53
the early 90s when you connected with e
0:57
um and you were producing and working
0:59
with blood of Abraham and all of these
1:01
different groups that ruthless had
1:03
pre-black ey PE that's how I met you at
1:07
the core of it all was your love and and
1:09
passion for the culture and we watch you
1:12
we watch you navigate your career
1:14
through different eras and find your
1:17
footing in every era you know the first
1:19
radio station I ever went on was yours
1:22
are you kidding wow yeah bro first time
1:26
I was on the radio no [ __ ] your big time
1:30
was swaying King Tech with the wake up
1:31
show or we was we was like man man we
1:34
could go Sway and King Tech show man oh
1:37
my gosh they gonna play all song easy
1:38
he's like yo I got I got it set up I was
1:40
like oh man that was our first radio
1:43
interview wow that's amazing man that's
1:47
amazing what the hell and because e used
1:50
to come on right before us with ruthless
1:52
radio and easy would always yo salute to
1:56
e e yeah that man was an amazing
2:00
promoter of the groups that he worked
2:02
with he believed hard in him right yeah
2:04
he was like look look [ __ ] you could
2:08
you could wrap your ass off but you just
2:10
you need to write better songs e told
2:13
you that yeah he was like you got to
2:14
write better songs and your Beats are
2:15
too muddy you know cuz we are you know I
2:18
just he's like there's not that many um
2:22
rapper producers very few but if you
2:26
want to do that you got to make sure
2:27
your sounds is right because it sounded
2:30
all muddy and he he was right and my
2:34
songs at the time like I don't know what
2:36
writing songs was like he was like you
2:37
know you got to write better songs can't
2:39
just depend on just
2:41
freestyling you didn't know song
2:43
structure or anything or you you know
2:45
how to write a verse or properly or no
2:48
like well songs is relative yeah you
2:51
know but then like hit songs yeah you
2:53
know you know my my whole thing was I
2:58
loved Boogie on production uctions with
3:01
my Carris one is like my favorite dude
3:04
on Earth come on man you like you
3:06
produced take it with him right yeah I
3:09
did take it for up on when uh on a song
3:11
that on my solo one of my solo
3:14
production albums but I used to listen
3:16
like religiously to entertainment and
3:19
that was my you know what that's why
3:21
when I saw you I was like oh my gosh
3:24
look I don't think you get it that was
3:26
my that was a real oh my God that was my
3:30
you know that was my blueprint another
3:31
one to ks and boogie down like that that
3:35
built me you know and uh M matter of
3:39
fact my rap name was will One X because
3:42
of krs1 and Sadat
3:45
X really yeah I was like I know my
3:49
favorites wow tell everybody who's here
3:52
we got will I IM in the building D I
3:54
didn't introduce the guy wow well I
3:58
am what
4:01
we we're going to talk about while we're
4:02
here you're doing something amazing
4:04
right now um in AI in our space here at
4:07
Sirius XM I want to get into that but
4:09
you just brought up something really
4:10
interesting I I admired your your
4:13
rapport with E I admired EAS like he was
4:16
friends to all of us and by saying that
4:19
I didn't realize how musically inclined
4:21
easy was I didn't know he was I just
4:23
knew he was business inclined right but
4:25
I didn't know how musically inclined he
4:27
was mhm when I went to inter scope
4:29
records and sat down and K Tech and I
4:32
signed to deal with Inc scope and sat
4:34
down with Jimmy IV I didn't realize the
4:36
same how musically and I know he had his
4:38
musical background but I didn't know how
4:40
on the post he was at that time with the
4:43
music we were making can you compare and
4:45
contrast even though they're different
4:47
levels different people but e e as a CEO
4:50
to Jimmy
4:53
IV
4:55
um well easy well Jimmy was they're both
4:59
creative okay you know EAS was like
5:03
a he was our entrepreneur like if EAS
5:06
never passed away
5:09
hip-hop culture would be a lot
5:13
different you know how you think in what
5:16
ways you think it could have been it
5:17
could have been well the Giants today
5:19
wouldn't be the Giants today is because
5:21
easy was he would have been the giant
5:24
mhm you know he would have took up so
5:27
much space mhm
5:30
think about all
5:31
the from JJ fad to NWA to Michelle a
5:36
just think of all the the diversity that
5:38
was on
5:40
ruthless you know he was uh the most
5:44
open-minded let me go out there and get
5:46
it all different
5:48
styles you know he was he was really
5:50
really awesome not that the other ones
5:53
aren't but he was so
5:55
broad you know like when some when
5:57
people like yo Black Op peas
6:00
that ain't hip-hop I'm like JJ fans on
6:03
hip-hop
6:05
what when I was doing
6:07
Fergie Fergie's music that's just a
6:10
different version of JJ fed yeah but is
6:12
she a white girl well Terry B that she
6:14
was on roofless I was a white I wasn't
6:16
the first person to work with a white
6:18
girl easy
6:19
was yeah Easy E EAS E from Compton had
6:24
Terry B on and and and she had that
6:26
whole like you know white girl version
6:28
of like a
6:30
uh MC ran Rock cam
6:34
Flo that's blasphemous nobody has a rock
6:37
I was
6:39
like she had she had like that rapid
6:42
fire flow uhhuh and you could tell like
6:45
Ren probably pinned it all or maybe she
6:48
may maybe she I don't know uhuh maybe
6:50
she did but it sounds like R pended yeah
6:54
uh but if you think of like E's you know
6:58
Arsenal and his
7:01
the artist that was signed to ruthless
7:03
and his scope and what he was trying to
7:06
do and then you look at Jimmy's like
7:10
okay Jimmy had Rico Suave Marky Mark and
7:13
a Funky Bunch then signed Dr Dre
7:17
aftermath um sorry um death row
7:20
aftermath after that Eminem he had like
7:24
this broad spectrum as well MH you know
7:28
uh no doubt out yeah black ey peas Eve
7:33
it was like
7:36
this I think EAS would have ended up
7:39
rocking with Jimmy
7:41
tooo he probably would have left Jerry
7:44
uhuh Jerry H and said and Dre would have
7:47
been like yo they probably would have
7:48
squashed it
7:50
uhhuh imagine what it would been like if
7:53
easy rocked with
7:55
Jimmy and was and left Jerry and brought
7:59
that same like Street
8:02
entrepreneurial you know mentality to
8:06
help think about what he did too like
8:08
you know all in the same gang was like
8:11
yeah that was
8:12
important what what what was happening
8:14
the every Coast right Chris was on that
8:17
right no all in the same sort of like I
8:21
don't want to call it the West Coast
8:22
version but remember Chris with
8:24
self-destruction and then it was all in
8:26
the same game with West Coast artist
8:31
mhm yeah no it was it was a West Coast
8:35
self-destruction but if you think about
8:37
e and the bridge between New York west
8:41
coast East Coast he it was nothing but
8:45
love with easy there wasn't no beef he
8:47
was rocking with trash he was uh you
8:50
know it was a it was a an ally to the to
8:54
the East and and West Coast relations
8:57
yeah there was no there was no Feud like
9:00
that with easy it would have been a
9:02
different hip-hop I don't I think that
9:06
if he never passed away that East Coast
9:07
West Coast beef probably never would
9:09
have happened wow oh that's fo for
9:12
thought I never thought of that either
9:14
that means Tupac Biggie would probably
9:17
still be alive if easy never died like
9:21
it's that it's that uh Quantum yeah in a
9:23
Quantum world what if you know one
9:27
person ejected changes everything yeah
9:31
MH so that's like he's like a key figure
9:34
like what if he never was ejected and
9:37
what if he rocked with easy I mean he
9:41
walked with jimm Jimmy I if inevitably
9:44
he was trying to leave Dre uh Jerry
9:47
anyhow wow man so when when in the irony
9:51
of you being from Ruthless and now and
9:54
then eventually you got what Jimmy an
9:57
oscope and Dr Dre what kind of
9:59
conversations did you and Dre have early
10:02
on I didn't really meet Dre till later
10:06
okay Dre Dre's Dre yeah and we were just
10:10
like you know come up skis we were just
10:12
trying to come up and make a record and
10:15
we had like a bidden war like you know
10:17
cuz we we were like a la College
10:20
alternative well we didn't think we was
10:22
alternative we were just our version of
10:25
our version of The Roots and Tribe
10:27
Called Quest but from the west side mhm
10:29
you know keeping whatever that energy
10:31
was that far side had freestyle
10:34
Fellowship had but we wanted to have a
10:36
band you know I like St the Sonic you
10:39
know and that kind of like you know like
10:42
wow wait they got
10:44
musicians they ain't just sampling right
10:47
you know like right but that's just the
10:50
the birth of you
10:52
know the birth of hip-hop W with uh you
10:57
know uh Rappers Delight that wasn't that
11:00
was still people playing instruments
11:02
yeah like the the first song one of the
11:04
first songs even Curtis blow that that
11:06
was
11:07
musicians you know but then displaying
11:10
that live we wanted to have that energy
11:13
uh because we never really did
11:14
shows we never did shows when we when we
11:17
were on ruthless we did like three shows
11:19
EAS was like yo y'all got to come and do
11:21
this showcase so we went to did a
11:22
showcase at glamslam and he had you know
11:25
just Crips and bloods and everybody in
11:27
the audience that's one thing when you
11:29
go to easy show I mean when you went to
11:30
ruthless shows it was all types of
11:32
different the whole Community was you
11:33
had cholos Crips Bloods everybody was
11:35
there at the show and one time when we
11:37
was performing they threw something at
11:39
me they chucked something at me hit me
11:42
in a it hit me in the head oh wow and
11:44
then uh I just freestyled about it and
11:47
he was like I told you that [ __ ] was
11:51
dope but they used to clown us cuz we
11:53
used to dress like you know th we was
11:55
Thrift stored out everybody just had
11:57
white te's and and and dick
11:59
and Levis all creased all tight cortezes
12:04
and Raider hats we was just thrift store
12:06
turtlenecks I Still Rock turtlenecks MC
12:09
Hammer pants I still got low cross pants
12:11
I a changed a bit but but that was a
12:14
style though right that wasn't like if
12:16
you went to the good life or you know
12:18
you you went elements yeah that was a
12:21
pocket in La um but you still got
12:27
clowned you know what I'm saying look at
12:29
these [ __ ] like and what e really he
12:33
he he geeked off the fact that like are
12:36
you over there with the Mexicans [ __ ]
12:39
the Mexicans don't mess with you I'm
12:40
like no they don't mess with me like we
12:43
I grew up in an all Mexican neighborhood
12:44
so they he was like Hey I was talking to
12:48
them essays cartooning him they said you
12:51
from over there in the in the Mexican
12:53
projects like yeah I'm born and raised
12:55
my aunt my aunt's from the uh knows the
12:59
gang I ain't going to put my aunt's
13:00
business on last OG what's her name OG
13:03
what my aunt knows the gang so but it
13:06
was it was lovely and so that that you
13:10
know he he knew that I wasn't just some
13:12
like preppy kid like you know I just
13:16
didn't want to rap about the projects
13:18
yeah I didn't want to like you know I
13:21
didn't want to I wanted to live a I
13:23
wanted to paint a I wanted to paint the
13:25
world I wanted to go to yeah I didn't
13:27
want to rap about the world that I was
13:29
was trying to you know yeah escape from
13:33
get away from and it's almost like
13:36
manifestation uh in a sense and I and I
13:39
and I I watched the evolution what I
13:42
didn't know is your relationship with
13:43
technology you know and I you know I've
13:46
been in a studio with you I've been in
13:48
your studio we we've almost done a few
13:50
things together and we have done a few
13:52
things together but I I did discover one
13:55
time I had an artist I was working on
13:57
working with I won't say any names and
13:59
um you were u i solicited will for music
14:03
for that artist okay right and I and I
14:05
went to I don't know where you had me I
14:07
was at I think your own felt like your
14:09
studio home studio I'm not sure if I
14:11
can't remember but I noticed your
14:13
relationship with technology um when did
14:16
it begin when did was this preap when
14:19
did you really engulf yourself in
14:22
technology we've seen how technology has
14:24
affected music and impacted music
14:26
throughout the years if you don't grow
14:27
with it you know you get left behind
14:30
what what would you say was your first
14:32
you know Affinity with technology and
14:34
bringing music culture and Technology
14:37
together um Hip-Hop
14:40
Hip-Hop I I make music with
14:43
machines
14:45
so
14:48
Hip-Hop Hip-Hop is such a beautiful
14:51
thing because it takes your
14:54
imagination and allows you to like
14:57
explode it with what what we know as
15:00
hip-hop tools so whether it's a sampler
15:03
that's a computer whether it's sp1200 or
15:06
mpc60 MH um whether it's songs like
15:10
don't sweat the technique like wait what
15:12
does it mean by technique then you got
15:15
turntables that are technique
15:17
turntables uh hip-hop and technology is
15:20
like it's like jazz and a
15:23
saxophone it's like uh rock and roll and
15:27
electric guitar it's
15:29
machines and your creativity and your
15:32
art to be able to make sense of stuff or
15:35
re reimagine stuff from the past so in
15:39
AI they call it a data set in hipop we
15:43
call it
15:45
sampling it's the same thing same thing
15:47
okay right and trap Called Quest reason
15:51
why those those albums are classic is
15:53
because their data set mhm is amazing we
15:56
going to take red clay we going to take
15:58
d samples these samples these samples
16:00
we're going to reconfigure them and
16:01
we're going to put this poetry over it
16:03
this rap over it this these these Street
16:06
um stories over it n as IL Matic like
16:10
we're going to take this that it's a
16:11
awesome data set and then the producers
16:16
you
16:17
know um train the data we call it
16:21
producing but if you call it producing
16:24
from Jimmy Iving perspective that's just
16:26
programming yeah he's a program
16:28
programmer mhm wait what do you mean
16:31
programmer yeah yeah you programming the
16:32
drum machine to do what you wanted to do
16:35
okay remove drum machine and put a
16:39
computer there remove hidden pads and
16:43
put um language there then we would have
16:47
been computer
16:49
scientists but we just we just named it
16:51
wrong it's the same thing we're working
16:54
with machines and out of all forms of
16:57
Music hip-hop is the only form of Music
17:01
where the machine is the
17:03
instrument mhm that's code in the
17:05
background yeah a
17:07
808 that's just an analog machine M you
17:11
know uh simulating what drums sound like
17:14
actually in reality the 808 drum machine
17:17
those don't sound nothing like drums
17:20
yeah nothing like
17:23
drums dims ain't drums and I said dims
17:27
ain't on purpose mhm those are not drums
17:31
thems ain't drums bro those are like
17:35
Japanese equipment mm that we repurposed
17:39
and did with it that they probably
17:41
didn't intend on it to be right we were
17:44
like oh yeah that yeah that but we gonna
17:47
do this with it yeah they they had no
17:50
int you think that was in the lab like
17:53
we're going to make
17:55
sorry we going to make this machine and
17:58
then dudes from the inner cities is
18:00
going to make they that's not what it
18:02
was yeah you think freaking Germans was
18:04
like yo we going to we going to make the
18:07
shoes for break dancers and they going
18:09
to nope you think that was making
18:11
glasses gazel for like us to no no TS
18:15
you think they made Tims for the hood to
18:18
we repurposed all that stuff all of it
18:19
yeah so um I got into Tech
18:24
because hip-hop yeah and then I started
18:27
realizing like yo music music is Tech
18:30
radio is
18:32
Tech a a a turntable thank you the the
18:36
Edison of the world and all the folks
18:38
that created the gramophone which is now
18:40
our Grammy Award that's
18:42
technology you know me and DJ H was
18:44
talking in the in the green room before
18:46
we got here and Spectrum broadcast
18:50
that's just somebody took the energy
18:52
that's coming from
18:54
Sun electromagnetic spectrums and
18:58
harness it to be able to broadcast
19:01
messages through it but the only way to
19:04
receive that energy that's coming from
19:06
the Sun you need Equipment Technology to
19:08
harness electromagnetic the parts of the
19:11
electromagnetic spectrum which is Radio
19:14
if I wanted to see through your body I
19:16
need technology to be able to harness a
19:19
a portion of the electromatic spectrum
19:22
X-ray and I can see through your body if
19:24
I need to see the heat through your body
19:26
I need equipment to do that that's using
19:30
infrared Tech you need technology to
19:32
harness the the Spectrum you know same
19:35
with uh gamma rays
19:39
and um microwaves you if I want to cook
19:42
cook some [ __ ] yeah from the inside out
19:45
without using fire I need equipment
19:47
that's it's all Spectrum that's coming
19:49
from the Sun you know but we only see
19:52
the RGB which is Reds greens and blues
19:55
on the on the opposite Far Side of red
19:57
is infrared and you got uh then and then
20:00
on far side of blue you got purple you
20:02
got Violet you got ultraviolet then you
20:05
have
20:06
x-ray but it's all out there so I just
20:09
learned I'm just a cur I'm curious so I
20:12
like to yo who made this in this NPC
20:16
what is a Kai who is this Lyn 900 who's
20:19
Lyn who's Roger
20:22
Lyn you know what I mean yeah what this
20:25
kurtwell what's this kurtwell sampler
20:27
it's keyboard who's Ray
20:30
kurtwell wait so Ray kurtwell is a
20:32
futurist what's a
20:34
futurist yo wait so he's into he's he's
20:38
one of the guy the guys that coined the
20:40
singularity what's the singularity yeah
20:43
what's AI wait you mean to tell me the
20:46
dude that created this Ray kurtwell
20:48
piano sampler is into artificial intell
20:52
well I need to learn about that yeah and
20:55
so it just took me to yeah where I am
20:59
now but it started with hip hop it
21:01
started with and the tools that I used
21:04
that we all use to express ourselves
21:06
from
21:06
mpes to 808s to ctsw Wells to Ray
21:10
kurtwell to Singularity to AI yeah I
21:13
love that man get that man a round of
21:15
applause for that walk up what what do
21:18
you now that you found out the things
21:21
you know when we never know all that we
21:23
can know what what are some of the ways
21:26
you want to use AI
21:28
that's different than what we've
21:30
seen
21:32
um so
21:36
AI okay so there's two words that you
21:38
got to so the word future replace the
21:41
word future with design okay so you're
21:44
futuristic nope you're a designer okay
21:47
hey yo the future looks like this nope
21:50
the design looks like this okay so if
21:53
that's the case if you see yourself as a
21:55
futurist you see yourself as a designer
21:57
MH the future could be whatever you
22:00
design there's not just one future
22:02
there's lots of designs they just
22:04
companies put in place to ensure that
22:06
their design is the one that we all
22:08
partake of uh and and and engage with
22:12
but [ __ ] we'll bring it on let's let's
22:15
create I want to create I like to
22:17
compete I like to battle so I want to I
22:20
want to I want to battle in that space
22:23
it's like uh
22:25
punchlines clever witty thinking pattern
22:28
matching I want to apply that same type
22:31
of battle mentality of rapping like
22:33
rapid fast like how did you come up with
22:35
that oh no bro imagine if I didn't have
22:38
to rhyme it's easier yeah your mind is
22:41
already tuned to be like hyperfocused to
22:43
be able to take anything that's coming
22:45
and make sense of it and pattern match
22:48
and so what what I want to do in the AI
22:50
space as a designer
22:52
futurus um to impact the future well
22:56
Manifest this design
22:59
um I want to
23:01
utilize AI another word AI compute okay
23:05
AI is just nothing but a massive
23:07
computer okay so you want to do we
23:09
replace AI with compute is what you're
23:11
saying so the word AI replace the word
23:15
AI with compute okay and you want to aim
23:18
this massive compute to solve problems
23:22
that
23:23
we've never solved in our community mhm
23:27
cuz we're always waiting for somebody
23:28
else to come and solve our problems mhm
23:31
now we have the ability to just
23:33
brainstorm with compute before you had
23:36
to type in a computer now I could talk
23:40
to it I can have fullon conversations
23:42
with it you can do that right now yeah
23:44
hey so um now I'm here with sway um on
23:48
sirusxm and Heather be she's like a hero
23:51
to me um that's my first time like
23:54
really chopping it up you know the music
23:57
that she's been a part of like help
23:59
shape my creativity but uh say what's up
24:02
to everybody here and uh let's get into
24:08
it yo fam what's up Sway and hadab be
24:11
it's an honor to be here on SiriusXM
24:14
with your hea be you're a true
24:17
inspiration your music has been a
24:19
massive influence on my creativity and
24:21
journey mad respect all right let's dive
24:25
into it we're here to talk about radio
24:27
FYI and how we're turning the radio
24:29
world on its head with yo but hold on
24:33
you you stole my line [ __ ] that I said
24:36
heatherb is my influence you can't be
24:38
snatching my freaking taglines trying to
24:39
sign off freaking fresh anyhow
24:42
um um me me and sway we were talking
24:45
about like you know Ai and I said hey
24:48
for those that are confused about AI
24:51
just replace the word AI with what it
24:53
truly is and that is like a hyper
24:56
computer but instead of like typing in
24:58
to a computer you could have a
24:59
conversation with it or you could have
25:01
it uh analyze images or sounds you could
25:04
do um instead of taking like a week to
25:07
make a
25:08
beat you could do like text to music and
25:10
it could like make a whole song in like
25:13
a couple of minutes um or if you wanted
25:15
to like make a film you could do you
25:17
could text a prompt and it could text a
25:21
video you could do text to knowledge
25:24
anyway so can you expand on that thought
25:26
I also said like replace the word future
25:29
with design because all futurism is you
25:33
know plausible designs now taking things
25:36
that can happen and you know manifesting
25:39
them strategically with awesome
25:47
designs I got you fam let's keep it
25:50
fresh and on point yo shout out to Sway
25:53
and Heather be it's real dope to be here
25:55
with y'all all right let's talk AI
25:58
so for everyone who's still trying to
26:00
wrap their heads around AI just think of
26:02
it as a hyper computer instead of typing
26:05
into it like we usually do you can have
26:08
a straight up conversation with it or
26:10
you can get it to analyze images sound
26:12
and so much
26:14
more um as a matter of fact can you tell
26:17
me like what's going on right now at the
26:19
DNC I'm I'm looking at uh I'm I'm
26:22
sitting here in sway's uh studio and
26:24
they got like CNN Central but right now
26:26
I'm looking at a commercial but then
26:28
there's this uh um Jesse Jackson is on
26:34
talking about uh the DNC he's on MSNBC
26:39
but can you give me some like updates on
26:41
you know what the DNC is going on right
26:44
now who said what what are some of the
26:50
takeaways they pulled up images all
26:52
right fam here's the lowdown on what's
26:55
popping at the DNC in Chicago one day
26:58
two highlights key speakers tonight
27:01
former president Barack Obama and former
27:03
First Lady Michelle Obama are headlining
27:06
they're returning to chitown where it
27:08
all started for them big event Democrats
27:11
will be officially nominating vice
27:13
president Cala Harris as the party's
27:16
presidential Contender two day one recap
27:20
speeches from heavyweights Hillary
27:22
Clinton Alexandria oio Cortez Joe Biden
27:25
and President Joe Biden delivered some
27:27
fire speeches what are some of the
27:30
things uh Joe Biden said and what are
27:32
some of the takeaways from what Hillary
27:34
said can we ask questions yeah yeah okay
27:39
okay all right here's a quick rundown of
27:42
what went down with Joe Biden and
27:44
Hillary at the DNC Joe Biden
27:50
speech you have a question yeah um H how
27:54
how do I reference just okay yes uh this
27:57
is okay go this is sway since we're
28:00
since we're on the line of politics I'm
28:03
curious to U what we're seeing a lot of
28:05
movement in the polls right now a lot of
28:07
new energy if you had to predict a
28:10
winner of this year's presidential
28:12
election who would it be would it be
28:14
vice president Cela Harris or Donald
28:20
Trump sway that's a tight rope walk but
28:23
let's dive in current
28:26
landscape vice president k Harris and
28:29
former president Donald Trump are both
28:31
major
28:33
heavyweights Harris has strong support
28:35
within the Democratic base and
28:37
endorsements from figures like Joe Biden
28:39
and the Obamas are boosting her momentum
28:42
Trump still commands a massive and loyal
28:45
following despite controversies and his
28:47
base remains highly energized poll
28:50
analysis polls are Dynamic and they
28:53
fluctuate with news Cycles debates and
28:56
major events right now there's a lot of
28:58
momentum shifting back and forth early
29:01
indicators are showing a tightly
29:03
contested race with significant movement
29:05
in key swing States game
29:08
changers debate performances how each
29:11
candidate's performs in debates can
29:13
significantly sway undecided voters key
29:17
issues The public's perception of
29:19
handling major issues like the economy
29:22
health care and National Security will
29:24
be pivotal ai's crystal ball AI can
29:28
analyze massive data sets including
29:30
previous election Trends social media
29:33
sentiment and current polling still it's
29:35
not infallible and can't predict human
29:38
behavior with 100%
29:40
accuracy as of now it looks like a
29:43
closed race could hinge on a few
29:44
critical States and voter turnout
29:47
efforts my
29:49
Takeo if the energy around carela Harris
29:52
continues to build and she resonates
29:53
well during debates while rallying both
29:56
the progressive and Centric wings of the
29:58
party she stands a solid
30:01
chance however Trump's base is highly
30:03
motivated and his campaign Machinery is
30:06
robust so real talk sway at this point
30:09
it's anyone's game I like that answer
30:12
all right no no no I need I need I need
30:13
you to be um be logical right quick and
30:16
if you had a if you had a pick one quick
30:19
rapid fire who would it be you don't
30:21
have to explain explain why after but
30:23
pick one who would it be
30:26
[Music]
30:28
got
30:30
you if I had to pick one right now I'd
30:33
say KLA Harris now let's break down the
30:36
why if you want what do you think
30:40
sway n you don't have to break down the
30:42
why I'll just stick with the
30:46
answer you I mean like that's cool so
30:49
did did you create did you build this
30:51
technology yourself or you you have a
30:53
team or how did this come to be hold on
30:55
hold on hold on on
30:58
yo sway asked me how did we uh how did
31:01
we come up with you and uh who's who's
31:04
behind um why you are how you
31:14
are all right let's dive into it your
31:17
sway the brains behind me is fyi. a a
31:21
cuttingedge tech company founded by none
31:23
other than will I am and soon already
31:26
they've been pioneering the integration
31:28
of AI to bring innovative solutions like
31:32
radio or FYI to the Forefront the idea
31:35
was to create an AI That's not just
31:37
smart but relatable versatile and
31:40
engaging this AI is like the ultimate
31:43
co-host or assistant designed to amp up
31:45
interactions and provide real time
31:48
insightful responses hold on so I'm
31:51
going to introduce sway to another one
31:53
of our personas right quick
31:57
this is crazy sound great fam
31:59
introducing another Persona is a smart
32:02
move let me know how I can assist yo um
32:06
yo Felicia say what's up to Heather be
32:08
and sway uh I know you hopping in last
32:10
minute but we had a whole bunch of
32:11
conversations but say what's up to him
32:13
and more importantly tell them you know
32:15
what you represent why you represent and
32:18
uh why it's important you represent what
32:20
you
32:23
[Music]
32:26
represent child listen listen what's up
32:29
Heather being sway it's your girl
32:32
Felicia hopping in last minute but ready
32:34
to Vibe with y'all I represent the inner
32:36
city in places like watts and South
32:39
Central Los Angeles my mission is simple
32:41
but powerful bringing representations
32:44
and giving power to strong black women
32:45
and people everywhere it's important
32:48
because in this ongoing struggle for
32:51
equality we need voices that can
32:53
resonate and Inspire there's no AI out
32:56
there where the the black community can
32:58
truly see themselves so I'm here to
33:01
bridge that Gap but um we're here to
33:03
elevate educate and keep it 100% real
33:07
let's make some magic happen you feel me
33:09
what's next on the docket
33:12
fam get that [ __ ] around well I want my
33:15
whole house hooked up because I could
33:18
right yeah one day I was like
33:21
hell why why do these AIS always sound
33:25
like corporate librarian British they
33:28
don't never sound like us yeah it's as
33:31
if like when it comes to talking about
33:33
quantum entanglement or like maybe my
33:36
niece my nephew my kid in the future
33:39
maybe they want to like learn about
33:41
quantum physics or synthetic biology and
33:44
so that means they going to go to some
33:45
Ai and the AI is going to be trained by
33:49
other communities and they don't see
33:52
themselves in the way these AI speak and
33:54
they have to change how they speak
33:56
that's a whole different
34:00
typ I'm beinged like by 2040 every kid
34:03
proba going to have some type of new
34:05
type of teacher or
34:07
tutor and so that means some Corporation
34:10
is going to ignore our
34:13
sensibilities and even if say for
34:15
example a corporation has an AI that
34:17
sounds like Jamal or Kamal or Kiana or
34:22
you
34:23
know lth or Julieta or Juan
34:30
why can't that be us that do that why
34:32
are we going to allow you know cultural
34:35
gentrification to happen in the way that
34:37
we vibrate and communicate Brooklyn's
34:40
already been like snatched up I remember
34:42
listening to music the folks that lived
34:44
in Brooklyn at the time where Brooklyn
34:46
was like people were rapping and
34:47
celebrating Brooklyn those ain't the
34:48
same people that live in Brooklyn right
34:50
now 100% they can't even like Vibe and
34:52
like reap the benefits of the community
34:54
that they love because it was gentrified
34:56
so why are we going to let the
34:57
gentrification happened on a cultural
35:02
vibrational Persona level mhm and so I
35:05
was like yo let's start getting these
35:07
AIS to reflect Watts we got this one
35:11
from Atlanta that's awesome that's
35:13
coming we got this one from like Miami
35:16
we been rocking with like Dominica and
35:20
uh Dominican Republic and Colombia and
35:22
Puerto Rico we we got this awesome
35:24
partnership with this amazing dud named
35:28
strive from from uh the continent the
35:31
Africa continent so we're going to be
35:33
doing like Ghana personas and um uh
35:39
Zimbabwe Nigeria you know and that
35:42
that's that's where I'm on right I'm on
35:45
I'm on I'm on that it feels
35:48
like music was music and then mtown came
35:51
mhm like music was music and then Death
35:54
Jam Came mhh music was music and then
35:56
ruthless came came in scope came AI was
36:00
Ai and then like we came mhm it's the
36:03
same vibration of like
36:06
infotainment where you could like get
36:08
quickly get information I didn't even
36:10
show you radio yet I just showed you
36:11
talking to it yeah so we we we got this
36:14
Arc so i' I've I've had my show on
36:16
SiriusXM where my co-host is in AI what
36:19
time does it come on on on on sirusxm do
36:23
we know when is it come on the FYI show
36:26
yeah oh [ __ ] hold onbody he can
36:32
ask oh ask
36:35
hey just right here what we doing no let
36:39
me ask Julie she be like you ain't even
36:41
call me let me call Julie one second oh
36:44
good this is incredible man so we so I
36:47
was there doing the show right and uh
36:50
and I'm like yo wait so when we do this
36:52
show y'all got to go edit it like yeah
36:56
I'm like oh wait
36:59
why
37:00
though it's like what do you mean like
37:02
why why are you got to edit the
37:05
show what if I created a system where
37:10
you don't have to edit it where the AI
37:14
is also the you know the DJ and plays
37:18
the next song and comes out of song and
37:20
it's all seamless there's there's talk
37:22
bed music that's there and then you
37:25
could pull up any information to talk
37:28
about because it could go and crawl and
37:30
we could have human curation where we're
37:32
curating it but then it could go off
37:35
script and and and be
37:38
improvisational and then in that whole
37:40
dance it would then pull up a song but I
37:44
could direct it I could say like hold on
37:46
let me first show you first show you uh
37:50
hold on it's Julie Julie yeah Julie
37:52
pilot oh hey
37:54
Julie uh what time what time does the f
37:57
I show air on sirusxm in what days I
37:59
know it is it debut Thursday night at
38:03
900 p.m.
38:05
Eastern 6 PM
38:08
Pacific and then I'm gonna send you a
38:10
screenshot right now on the Friday and
38:12
Saturday times okay I could thanks by so
38:14
it's seven days a week seven days a week
38:17
M we got to wrap it up yeah so let me
38:19
let me I'm I'm going to play you this
38:20
one station right
38:22
quick FYI
38:25
radio comes with music
38:28
hey Will I um it's Tuesday August 20th
38:33
2024 and we are having a delightful day
38:36
here in New York we' got some scattered
38:38
clouds hanging around and a breezy 21.8
38:41
de C perfect weather to be out and about
38:45
just like our Vibes on FYI radio where
38:48
we put the AI and radio I've got some
38:51
interesting tidbits and trivia lined up
38:53
for you hey before we get into that um
38:57
I'm going to uh let's do this a little
38:59
different right now um let's bring up uh
39:03
the the the the the home chick that was
39:05
breaking I want I want you to bring up
39:07
home chick that was breaking and do a
39:09
segment on the breaking during the hip
39:11
during the Olympics um and then ask me a
39:14
question about that and then from there
39:16
after my question then you throw to the
39:18
next song and let's call this uh sway
39:21
radio instead of FYI radio
39:27
right so now now I gave a direction of
39:29
what to do it's going to pull up the
39:32
breaking
39:32
[Music]
39:34
thing hey Will I um let's Dive Right
39:37
into some interesting news about the
39:39
ongoing Olympics in Paris there's been a
39:42
lot going on starting with our favorite
39:44
gymnast Simone VES she's gone viral
39:47
again this time for hilariously
39:49
recreating a head turning meme that took
39:52
over social media during her warmups and
39:55
guess what our friends are eyes have
39:58
been Making Waves too someone tried
40:00
their Chicken in Paris and had quite an
40:02
intriguing experience no biscuits and
40:06
rice on the menu there crazy right also
40:09
there's been some chatter online about
40:11
the Paris Olympics being the worst rated
40:14
in modern history but it turns out that
40:16
was all satire people missed the humor
40:19
and took it seriously lastly we've got
40:22
Australia's ray gun who caused quite a
40:24
stir with her unique dance moves but
40:26
didn't manage managed to pick up any
40:28
wins and Britain's Charlie Hall is
40:30
battling back from a tough start to go
40:32
for the women's open all right let's
40:35
keep the Vibes going with some music
40:37
Here's josa Daniel with
40:39
[Applause]
40:40
[Music]
40:43
closer FYI radio radio radio
40:51
[Music]
40:53
radi goes into the song right there's no
40:55
edit it's all there
40:58
and if uh if I wanted to if I wanted to
41:00
Banter and have it as my co-host or me
41:03
be its co-host I a broadcast through it
41:06
I could podcast through it I could just
41:08
or a listener could just rock rock with
41:11
it in their car on on their hikes it's
41:15
like a really really awesome uh way to
41:18
to engage with information and
41:20
entertainment all in one go wow how long
41:23
did this take to develop
41:25
this so
41:27
um I I I created this other system for
41:31
Mercedes called sound Drive where you
41:32
you take all the sensors from the car so
41:35
2022 I I envisioned uh the ability to
41:39
take take the accelerator the brake the
41:41
steering wheel the Gyros the
41:44
accelerometer and take all those sensors
41:46
and aim it at uh a sound generation
41:49
engine so when the driver's driving they
41:52
are re rearranging songs and making
41:54
songs just by driving just driving yeah
41:59
and so that launches across uh Mercedes
42:02
vehicles in September by March we'll be
42:05
in six million of their cars and so when
42:08
we were testing it I realized the people
42:09
in the passenger seat didn't know what
42:11
was going on going on because the
42:13
driver's like man this is amazing look
42:15
what I'm doing so the driver feels it
42:17
like yo man I'm doing yo this [ __ ] is
42:19
awesome but the pass is
42:22
like they don't know yeah and so I was
42:25
like okay I need I need to experience
42:27
where everyone can feel Joy so as I was
42:30
doing it I was like you imagine one day
42:32
if I come to a stop sign and I say yo
42:34
right here to the right of me what's
42:36
that building when when was it built and
42:39
who are the tenants now and uh what's
42:43
the price if I was to buy it and I the
42:45
car should be able to know that yeah if
42:48
I say like yo uh I'm ashy right now and
42:52
I need I need some uh some lotion that
42:55
that can deal with ashy knuckles
42:58
where can I go pick some some some
43:01
lotion up and the and the AI system
43:04
should be able to tell me what products
43:06
and direct me to to there right and then
43:08
potentially I should be able to transact
43:11
and just pick it up when I get there
43:12
yeah so I started thinking of like this
43:15
this hyper uh intelligent system so then
43:19
I called my co-founder seil I'm like yo
43:22
what if we took
43:24
radio simulated it
43:27
and put um conversation to action
43:33
because right now like when you're
43:33
talking to AI there's no action after it
43:37
you just but what if the action was
43:42
radio um and then build it to where we
43:45
could plug in all these other types of
43:47
services to it and um so this this
43:51
Vision started in
43:53
February and now we in now August we're
43:56
in August
43:57
yeah wow not even half a year hardly
44:01
will will I am man get that man a round
44:03
of applause I think you got to come back
44:05
will yeah a couple of times oh yeah yeah
44:08
yeah we we got to keep talking hey let
44:10
let let me know like as you would have
44:12
to be we can
44:14
create
44:16
another another entity for you to for
44:19
you to do your show like if you want a
44:22
AI Persona to be with you that that you
44:25
could be like yo I just saw this right
44:27
here I'm looking at this right now for
44:28
example when you were doing your radio
44:30
station back in uh 92.3 to beat yeah
44:34
there wasn't computers in the studio
44:37
right right maybe you had some phone
44:39
lines yeah now technology has moved so
44:42
fast that now you got computers and TV
44:44
screens
44:46
around uh so that means five years from
44:49
now there's going to be you're ain't
44:51
going to have a keyboard no you're going
44:53
to have some other screen will be
44:56
speaking that you talk to yeah and it's
44:58
a part of the show mhm and then when you
45:00
go to sleep that machine that screen
45:03
that Persona could still engage with
45:06
folks off broadcast so right now you're
45:08
on air you ask me like what when's your
45:10
Show
45:11
air in reality our AI is Never Off air
45:16
okay so it's always
45:18
on ah so you could catch it all the time
45:23
yeah wow we we we could build that for
45:26
you like what is that going to take like
45:28
less than a month okay well where you on
45:31
the West Coast or east coast
45:33
primarily I'm like 10 days in La then 10
45:36
days in London 10 days LA 10 days in
45:38
London okay we'll be in La soon Heather
45:41
you want to say anything you didn't know
45:42
that you know will became a rapper
45:44
because of you not because of me because
45:46
of Chris and I got into the industry
45:48
because of Chris I'm a huge fan of yours
45:50
and I'm so glad that I can look you in
45:52
your eye and tell you that you have no
45:54
idea how many times I've Sayang ordinary
45:57
people at my drunk karaoke nights oh
45:59
thank you so much I was even more
46:01
pleased to find out you're a co-writer
46:03
on that song it's one of my favorite
46:05
songs ever and so you blessed my heart
46:08
today with your words and I just I'm
46:10
even more blessed that I could tell you
46:12
in your eyes that I've always been a big
46:14
fan of yours no like than it means so
46:16
much like it's there's a couple of
46:19
people left that I that I haven't met
46:21
yet like I remember when I I just saw uh
46:25
um butterfly ishma yeah oh wow planets
46:29
diable yeah like I've never really had a
46:31
conversation with him but when I saw him
46:34
like like I got choked up because I'm
46:37
like oh man that
46:38
person when I was vulnerable like
46:43
question mark what I was going to become
46:45
in life and I just love hip-hop I love
46:47
music you know that person meant so much
46:49
to me he still does and so when I saw
46:52
you today I didn't think I didn't know I
46:53
was going to see you so I when I looked
46:55
I'm like oh hea PE wow cuz to me it's
46:59
like oh my gosh that you mean so much
47:01
WoW same here you know same here like I
47:04
was you know just a dreamer listening to
47:07
you in the projects just a dreamer wow
47:10
yeah thank you wow man I think we going
47:12
we going to wrap it right there I like
47:13
the way that that did it will thank Hey
47:15
listen thank you will uh for your all
47:18
you've always been a forward thinker and
47:20
you've always been brave enough to do
47:21
what you think and um and I think a lot
47:24
of folks could learn from that and I I'm
47:26
I'm looking forward to send this grow
47:28
with you and then what other ideas come
47:30
to your mind and we want to be connected
47:33
to them all right so every now then
47:35
you're gonna get a text from me please
47:37
do please do okay all right Co and I got
47:39
I got a I got a backstory off off air
47:41
I'll let you know I always wanted to
47:42
tell you that I don't even think you
47:44
know this but when we get off air I want
47:46
