Jan 18, 2023
Token has been through a lot since we last saw him. There have been a lot of ups and downs, and all of it is reflected in his music. He just dropped his latest project Pink Is Better featuring Benny The Butcher, J.I.D. and Rico Nasty. Token has been dealing with the passing of his father, relationship turmoil and the ills of building his career in the rap game.
The Massachusetts native talked about everything in the interview, but really aired it out in a crazy 10 beat freestyle. Check it out here.

Officer says this young man is the soul
0:04
of this show
0:06
he personifies what this show is all
0:08
about keep them applies going towards
0:11
I watched this young man career Rise
0:13
Like a Phoenix Mike Muse I watched this
0:18
man change the trajectory of his life
0:20
and his health and and really improve
0:23
upon it utilizing music as his tool to
0:27
not only heal himself but to heal others
0:30
who are like-minded and went through
0:31
similar situations his music has been
0:34
medicine for many of the people that
0:36
follow him which is me along with
0:38
millions of others I've gone personally
0:40
to watch this man perform and just to
0:43
really bear witness to his power that
0:46
comes from what he does with his music
0:48
as he shares his life he's extremely
0:51
intimate in his songs you get to know
0:53
members of his family
0:55
um pretty thoroughly because he's that
0:57
transparent and he's that honest when it
1:00
comes to his music and he's that
1:02
determined when it comes to being an
1:04
emcee and now as a businessman and
1:07
looking at him he still looks the same
1:09
in the face but his body looks like Thor
1:11
I don't know what I don't know what kind
1:14
of I got hair now it got hair now too
1:16
have to be you got to see them I don't
1:18
know what kind of GMO diet he's been on
1:19
but he's pretty rocked up right now
1:22
um I don't know if his steroids in the
1:23
meats
1:24
and they just call me on a good day is
1:27
that what it is I think so okay man I
1:29
want to welcome this brother back to the
1:30
show to celebrate his new project I got
1:33
a chance to listen to it pink is better
1:35
it's out today give it up for the one
1:36
and only token it's back talking yeah
1:41
welcome back thank you wow
1:43
congratulations bro
1:45
um I feel like
1:47
our legacies this show and your legacy
1:50
is interconnected For
1:52
Eternity for sure you know and what
1:54
happened since you came up what year was
1:56
that freestyle the first one 2016. I was
2:00
I was 17. yeah it changed everything bro
2:02
like I uh I mean I grew up watching
2:05
these freestyles like just watching the
2:07
interviews and uh that was like the
2:09
biggest opportunity I got that day and I
2:11
just like you know I was just I knew I
2:14
had to turn into something and really
2:16
like you know you always look back at
2:18
like different moments of like oh this
2:20
was like this Domino here this Domino
2:21
here that one was like the big Domino
2:25
that like you know really everything
2:27
came after that bro I just think that um
2:30
yeah I just been waiting for it for so
2:32
long and every I like you know even when
2:35
I post about it like people just know
2:37
like this was really the beginning so
2:38
it's it's nice to be back yeah when I go
2:41
to his concert so you know if I'm
2:43
anywhere he is man your fans come up to
2:45
me you should be selling meet and greet
2:47
tickets
2:48
I could sell merch and kill it yeah I
2:51
think you should you're welcome to I got
2:52
a show on the 30th New York yeah that's
2:56
one of my partners right there Levi he's
2:58
an ill assmc too we got a merch line
3:01
called scribbles right and so can we set
3:04
up a table yeah let's do it okay Levi
3:06
get the information we're gonna make
3:07
that happen he's got me on air yeah but
3:10
you know a lot of people come on big
3:11
platforms and get that opportunity but
3:13
they don't always transform it I mean
3:16
how did you how did you nurture it how
3:18
did you curate the energy that you got
3:21
um I just you know a lot of hard work
3:23
this this has been like in me since like
3:27
forever I've been rapping since I was
3:29
like six like I uh you know I was raised
3:32
on rap um I've been writing since I was
3:34
like before I could ever since I
3:37
remember I was always writing my
3:38
feelings down and stuff so it's really
3:39
like it's just in my blood like talking
3:42
about talking about what's going on in
3:44
my life it just makes me feel better you
3:47
know that's that was the beginning of it
3:48
it's just like
3:49
writing down like my thoughts that I
3:52
didn't really want to talk about you
3:54
know and it just made me feel better
3:55
afterwards that's the beginning of it so
3:57
it's like very instinctual so
4:00
you know I do work hard but I'm lucky
4:03
that it's just so in my blood and um I
4:07
just feel like I have a close like
4:08
connection with the fans and it means a
4:10
lot to me just to be honest and you know
4:14
it feels like I'm just like living my
4:16
truth it doesn't feel like I like
4:18
entered this
4:19
you know person success and you know
4:22
stuff like that it's just like really
4:24
who I am it's just it's been my life
4:25
forever right
4:27
um Tolkien is here one of the things I
4:29
appreciated about you uh when you talk
4:31
about your honesty you always vulnerable
4:33
in your music and you talked about you
4:35
know mental health and different things
4:36
you've dealt with
4:38
um how has that been for you what's been
4:40
the progress with spin your Evolution oh
4:42
I mean it's it's continual it's like the
4:45
older I get uh it's like new
4:49
you know it's new habits it's new
4:51
concerns new things like that make me
4:53
happy new things that make me sad like
4:55
it's just it's just different
4:58
um you know it's definitely changed a
5:00
lot uh you know at first the beginning
5:03
of my life I just kind of like felt
5:05
hopeless like I felt like I mean that's
5:07
where the name token comes from is like
5:09
feeling different from everybody else
5:10
and
5:11
um not really
5:13
you know just feeling like an alien like
5:14
I don't even want to talk about it
5:16
because I was like ashamed of being
5:17
different that was like the beginning
5:19
Narrative of my life was like I don't
5:22
feel like I could like
5:24
even relate to anybody on any extent and
5:28
that was like something I was ashamed of
5:30
like and and now it's like the good
5:33
thing you know so now it's like I take
5:35
the pride and probably different yeah
5:37
that's why I take pride in that
5:39
um and it's just like different
5:40
different things now like different
5:42
types of things that make me you know
5:45
sad and you know relationships and like
5:47
family stuff it's it's a
5:50
it's always a growing process you even
5:53
got a song called a little different on
5:55
this pink is better album yeah right and
5:57
I feel like that kind of speaks to that
5:59
right yeah yeah that was at a time in my
6:01
life where like she was just really
6:03
feeling
6:04
like different like all my worries are
6:07
like different worries like what I used
6:09
to trip about I was no longer tripping
6:11
about it was a lot about like
6:12
relationship stuff me the thing with
6:15
this album is like my last project was
6:18
kind of like the sound of a kid uh
6:21
dealing with like his small level of
6:24
success you know like it was like I feel
6:26
this way because this happened this
6:28
happening in my career like people are
6:29
treating me
6:30
uh like this because of this in my
6:32
career I feel like this because people
6:33
are looking this album is I blame
6:37
nothing on success I blame nothing on my
6:39
career I blame I was like these are my
6:42
real life problems and I talk about like
6:44
you know problems that have nothing to
6:46
do with
6:48
my career it's tough because like like
6:50
give me an example of a problem that
6:53
has nothing
6:54
um like relationship [ __ ] yeah you think
6:56
about trust issues yeah yeah just just
6:58
don't well trust issues I feel like I
7:01
give trust issues more than I have I
7:02
actually don't feel like I have that big
7:05
trust issues I feel like
7:07
I probably do actually yeah I definitely
7:11
you say it in a song
7:13
um but how many relationships have you
7:15
been in since I've seen you last
7:17
um
7:18
I've been in like two real relationships
7:20
okay yeah and they were both like really
7:24
different and um but I'm just like I
7:26
obsessed like you know like it uh it
7:29
really becomes a major part of my life I
7:31
think I get yeah I think I get that from
7:33
my dad like
7:35
just like uh it's hard to move on yeah
7:37
well you think of that Heather um token
7:39
stalker like qualities
7:44
I was gonna say that could be kind of
7:46
scary yeah you know um being obsessed
7:49
like that but why you said you think you
7:50
get it from your dad is that something
7:52
you watch with him
7:53
um I I uh I just know he never got over
7:55
my mom you know like I never you know
7:58
they they like split when
8:01
um I was 10 and I like barely seen him
8:04
with other women and like even when he
8:06
was it was like he would always say like
8:09
it's just not your mom like you know and
8:12
he like I get a lot from him because he
8:14
he wrote songs and stuff he likes sang
8:17
and um he used to like sing
8:19
songs about my mom to me when I was like
8:21
really young and ever since then I'd be
8:23
like writing songs about girls in school
8:25
and [ __ ] that's been a big part of my
8:28
life right and Sean said what's your
8:29
relationship where's your mom now do we
8:31
still have your mom yeah yeah my mom is
8:34
uh still in Massachusetts yeah
8:36
so what are your parents what do they
8:37
think about your success
8:39
um they're both I mean just super proud
8:42
like uh my mom I mean both of them
8:45
um have just seen me you know they see
8:48
where I come from they knew how like
8:49
they knew how
8:51
I was getting into a lot of trouble
8:53
before like music started working when I
8:55
was really young like just [ __ ] yeah
8:57
just like [ __ ] around and just uh
9:01
just getting into [ __ ] and they she I
9:03
was like that was the thing I was like I
9:05
was getting suspended from school and
9:07
like in trouble with other kids and law
9:09
and [ __ ] like that and um
9:12
they they saw the change in me when this
9:14
when this started working you know like
9:17
I was no longer getting in trouble I
9:18
like fully entrenched myself
9:20
and this and you know I kind of like
9:23
killed that part of me like I didn't
9:24
feel like I needed to like cause trouble
9:26
I don't really know what that was in me
9:28
like I had a lot of older homies and uh
9:31
I don't know I was just rebellious I
9:33
guess but the the music really like gave
9:36
me my purpose you in your music you talk
9:38
about your relationship with your dad
9:40
and the song a little different you
9:42
talked about at one point your dad it
9:44
seemed like your dad might have been
9:45
jealous uh of of your success I'm
9:48
assuming and y'all went through a lot
9:51
Heather his dad passed away uh recently
9:57
um um but uh what I asked him if you
9:59
don't mind uh and if I'm overstepping my
10:02
boundaries okay great I asked him um
10:05
were they able to kind of men
10:08
that bond between Father and Son before
10:11
he passed and he shared with me that he
10:13
he passed right after your last album
10:15
came out right yeah like a week a week
10:17
after yeah and so where were y'all at in
10:20
the end
10:21
um it was it was good in the end it was
10:22
you know we always had a good
10:24
relationship you know it was never like
10:26
beef or anything it was just it was just
10:28
complicated like
10:30
um it was just complicated we just like
10:32
went through different
10:34
um just like different times of him
10:36
being like really in my life they're not
10:38
really in my life and especially when
10:39
they split it was like you know I was
10:41
just with my mom and um
10:44
and like him living alone it was hard
10:47
for me to see some of the stuff that you
10:49
know him living so I kinda distance
10:52
myself and then with music you know how
10:54
it goes like it's I was touring and it
10:57
just became more distant distant and
11:00
then right around like covid near the
11:02
end of kovid I really started seeing him
11:04
more
11:06
um and like going over his house and
11:08
like he had a girlfriend at the time and
11:10
like I had a girlfriend at the time so
11:12
we all used to kick in this house
11:14
um it was only like a few times but I
11:16
was really feeling like
11:18
I remember thinking like the last time I
11:20
was with him like damn like he's really
11:22
about to be a part of my life again like
11:25
um
11:26
so it so it's sad that we didn't really
11:29
get to
11:32
maximize the potential but
11:35
um but it definitely ended on a good
11:36
note uh you know I I didn't see him
11:39
since the album was out but when I went
11:41
to his his house
11:42
um after he passed there's like Matt
11:45
um it was like mad CDs uh a pink is
11:49
better like he didn't even ask me for um
11:52
he didn't even uh asked me to buy the CD
11:55
or get the CD he just had like a stack
11:57
of them
11:59
um
11:59
you know on his desk
12:02
and in my and his last text to me was
12:04
like
12:05
you know just like the nicest checks
12:06
ever just like wow um
12:09
he actually it's weird bro he texted me
12:11
the day before and this was out of
12:12
nowhere like there was no reason for
12:14
this to happen and he texted me the day
12:16
before
12:17
um just saying how much like he loved me
12:20
and he didn't know you know like he it's
12:23
one of those things how much you love me
12:24
and how much he's proud of me and we
12:26
didn't really talk since the album it
12:27
just came out I was in LA I was a lot
12:29
was going on
12:31
um but yeah all right what's his name
12:33
Sam Sam Sam what Sam Goldberg Sam
12:37
Goldberg Sam Goldberg Sam Goldberg we
12:39
painting true tribute to Sam Goldberg
12:41
his legacy lives on he is here he's here
12:44
and through you you know you you're his
12:47
legacy you're sure yo you're his DNA and
12:50
his genetics so he's here with us right
12:52
now and he gave me this music [ __ ] bro
12:53
like he was always singing and this was
12:55
his dream bro he wanted to be like a a
12:58
touring act like he was always singing
13:00
writing songs playing the guitar just
13:02
wasn't his job but I I wouldn't be
13:05
making music if it wasn't for him there
13:07
you go man so he here man talking you
13:09
said a lot a couple key words about you
13:11
know maxing out you're hoping you had a
13:13
chance to max out I know a lot of times
13:14
and when there's death and I learned
13:16
this from a good friend of mine whose
13:17
mother passed away and so she talked
13:19
about how people thought she would be
13:20
sad but she said she wasn't because she
13:22
actually had the chance to max out on
13:24
the experience with her mother right so
13:25
gave her healing so I'm just curious
13:27
with you just seeing when you went back
13:29
into his apartment and you saw the CDs
13:31
that were there did that help give you
13:33
closure on the relationship and his
13:36
passing and his transition I mean I knew
13:38
how how after life I knew how proud of
13:40
me he was like the whole time so it
13:43
wasn't a question of
13:45
uh you know was he watching I knew he
13:47
was watching I knew he was proud I knew
13:49
like he was he loved me more than he
13:51
could ever say like he made that clear
13:54
um but yeah seeing the CDs was just nice
13:58
because we didn't get time we didn't get
13:59
time to talk about the app like album
14:01
like I'm sure he wanted to like ask me
14:03
about certain things uh you know he
14:05
didn't I didn't know he I assumed he
14:08
listened but I didn't like no and then I
14:11
went there and it was just like a moment
14:13
like
14:14
he heard it you're very vulnerable man
14:16
I'm just curious about you've been
14:17
sharing everything that happened with
14:18
you in high school and your
14:19
rebelliousness and and how you're acting
14:21
out and probably you're acting on a
14:22
relationship to your parents
14:23
relationship and how that handled and
14:25
she's very open book and I know you have
14:27
a huge fan base uh that listens to you
14:29
who may be dealing with different things
14:31
how did you
14:32
come out to the other side because you
14:34
start out this conversation by saying
14:36
that you've come out on the other side
14:37
your mental health is better now but
14:38
like that's such a broad stroke right
14:40
like yeah how did you I don't feel like
14:42
I came fully out like I still have like
14:45
stuff in my blood it feels like
14:46
sometimes like from my mom and my dad
14:48
like I just have like Tendencies to like
14:52
you know
14:53
be sad sometimes for no reason but um I
14:57
really think it's finding something you
14:59
love bro and just like and finding your
15:01
worth in it like I really feel like I
15:02
found my worth in this [ __ ] and it's
15:04
like I don't feel like there's no
15:07
purpose like I really do feel like
15:08
there's a purpose and I think that's the
15:11
biggest thing something to really
15:13
focus on you know they say like when you
15:15
work really hard like you know all the
15:17
girls I've ever been with they say I
15:18
work too hard and it's like a defense
15:20
mechanism but it's like [ __ ] it works it
15:23
works for you yeah and it's like at the
15:24
end of the day it's not an unhealthy
15:26
defense thing like it's it's something I
15:29
love to do tokens here man here's my
15:31
question why is pink is why is pink
15:34
better
15:35
so there's definitely like a few uh
15:37
ideas to the to the album title but the
15:40
album was really just about balance and
15:43
finding balance and at the time I'm
15:44
making the album
15:46
it was definitely I was living in a lot
15:48
of extremes you know I just had like got
15:50
my first car and my first crib what kind
15:52
of car are you good probably we don't
15:54
got time come on bro
15:56
I don't even I actually forget it
15:59
um
16:00
but but um
16:03
but yeah it was just like I was just
16:05
like living alone for the first time and
16:06
just like parties at the crib it's just
16:08
like a lot of fun
16:09
um just more money and just [ __ ] like
16:12
that and and that that side I like refer
16:15
to as like the red side like just fast
16:17
hot lifestyle [ __ ] and at the same time
16:20
like especially through like covid I
16:23
actually felt like the most doubt I've
16:25
ever had and um
16:27
and being like sad about a breakup that
16:29
happened and that's a side that
16:32
you know the album refers to as like
16:34
white flag like feeling defeat and
16:36
throughout the whole album like you kind
16:38
of see me grow healthier throughout it
16:41
like it goes down the red lane and it
16:43
goes down a White Lane if you if you
16:44
listen to the album you'll understand it
16:46
but by the end of the album
16:48
I felt like I I reached pink like it was
16:51
a balance like I'm aware of I'm aware of
16:53
like maybe some of the negative [ __ ]
16:55
like I don't want to like ignore it and
16:57
I'm still emotionally like listen to
16:59
myself
17:00
and I still have fun
17:02
but I at the end I'm like balancing it
17:04
more because it was just a period there
17:06
that I was going a little too OD in both
17:08
areas I love it man Tolkien is here this
17:12
album is incredible I got a chance to
17:13
listen to it this morning and I was
17:16
really impressed
17:17
um by some of the features it's not a
17:20
whole lot of features
17:22
um but the ones you got Rico nasty
17:25
Benny The Butcher with that Amsterdam
17:27
track
17:29
what we gave you the audacity the rap
17:32
next to Benny The Butcher I mean I dude
17:35
I'm such a Benny fan like in I think it
17:37
was 20 20 like I literally only listened
17:39
to Tana talk 3 like it was the only
17:40
album I listened to uh and uh I just
17:44
really wanted to work with him and I
17:45
thought uh he would just be such a cool
17:48
addition to this project like especially
17:50
what he raps about I wanted to get him
17:52
on some red [ __ ]
17:54
um and uh yeah bro he snapped yes what
17:57
do you think of you
17:58
oh he's a fan bro I think the I think
18:01
the first I'm trying to remember the
18:03
first I think there was a video that got
18:05
posted of me like listening and like
18:08
rapping along to one of his songs and I
18:10
think my label posted it and he like
18:12
showed love on it or reposted it or
18:14
something like that and that was really
18:16
the beginning of it and he was just with
18:18
it bro and um yeah we definitely uh
18:20
gotta get more in jid is one of my
18:23
favorite artists that I like to like
18:25
just listen to We he's never been on the
18:27
show or anything like that and sometimes
18:30
it allows me to just be a fan yeah you
18:32
know what I mean like ain't about you
18:34
coming up to the show and doing all of
18:36
that and I I really I really enjoy his
18:38
music like I I I sit and listen to his
18:41
music like I read books you know
18:44
um I feel like his verses are chapters
18:47
you know in his in his songs are short
18:50
stories to me and um he's very crafty
18:52
with his word play and uh in the
18:54
substance and you two teamed up on a
18:56
song called boom did you already know
18:58
each other or we we just talked in DMs
19:01
like we I forget the first time we
19:03
talked but it was like a while ago it
19:04
might have been like 2019 or something
19:07
like that we always talked about working
19:08
uh and it just like he's definitely
19:11
particular about the song and
19:14
um I've sent him a few things and uh and
19:17
yeah that was just the one that made
19:18
sense and um
19:20
he crushed it bro like that's one of my
19:22
favorite songs I've ever made it's just
19:23
such a fun song y'all weren't in the
19:25
studio no no no we we were together for
19:27
the video obviously but he sent me in
19:29
the verse and we're going back and forth
19:31
on it
19:32
um but uh yeah and then we linked I
19:35
think for the first time in person
19:36
during the video I went down to Atlanta
19:38
and uh
19:40
yeah that's when we linked for the first
19:41
time okay man one of the things about
19:44
token citizens is I call him he's part
19:46
of the fabric of what this show was
19:48
built on
19:49
you know what I mean he's the soul of
19:52
this show he and a lot of others you
19:54
know that came up here before we call
19:57
them the the soul of the show we have
19:58
people this is how it got cool with
20:00
Eminem through the wake-up show he
20:01
became you know the fabric knives all
20:04
these different people that we would
20:05
have up uh became the fabric uh let me
20:07
think of who else that we would consider
20:10
that
20:11
um Childish Gambino when he came up here
20:13
and spit those Flames Legendary
20:15
Legendary juice and super nap with the
20:18
Wake Up Show on King Los Fab comment
20:21
here you know I put you in that realm
20:24
now you in that school of people who've
20:26
come up here in your freestyles have
20:29
gone and left the planet and now exists
20:32
somewhere in another galaxy
20:35
we made history every time and it's
20:38
2023. we all on a higher vibration token
20:42
we all on a higher vibration I've only
20:44
had one MC Blaster Mike so far this year
20:47
now and she just did that what was that
20:49
yesterday uh Wednesday Wednesday was
20:52
Lola Brooke okay she was the first MC to
20:55
come up here and spit fire for 2023.
20:58
Heather said I have to be more selective
21:00
ain't that right Heather B
21:02
itch oh Heather must have cut out so
21:05
I'll take your word for it you take my
21:07
word for it so that's what we gonna do
21:08
man did I bring them this is what we're
21:11
gonna do man ladies and gentlemen he has
21:13
nothing to prove it's already been
21:16
proven he has his own record label now
21:18
never too different with Atlantic
21:20
Records I'm proud of this man he's not
21:23
only an emcee he's a businessman now he
21:26
shared his life with us but his love and
21:28
his hunger Mike Muse he's always gonna
21:30
be a hyena
21:32
good
21:34
torch I want you to make sure the music
21:37
is right the mic levels are balanced for
21:39
what's about to take place right here
21:41
today oh yeah okay turn your volumes way
21:43
past ten Tolkien is here token is here
21:47
token is here you ready brother let's go
21:49
bro Taurus drop that beat on them Sway
21:52
in the morning shade four five
21:57
yeah yeah hey sway yeah only man in my
22:01
family left just bear my dad and my
22:03
grandpas are dead I will call myself a
22:05
product of the projects I will blare in
22:07
my head but I'm much more of a product
22:08
and my Mama being manic depressed Panic
22:11
impressed parents planning to pledge in
22:13
my head that I would see my potential
22:14
persuade my potential need of mental
22:16
scans Middle School my record have been
22:18
covered with assault like a pretzel
22:19
stand soaring out the rental van mama
22:21
like to stay at home she only pop out
22:23
for the sun like a freckle can my [ __ ]
22:25

22:27
sound until she ready for some cheese
22:29

22:32
I used to so try to not tell me you were
22:34
fans to protect the brand I can make a
22:36
living off of my own music but I stay in
22:38
their mouth to be safe I'm like a dental
22:40
dam y'all leave her glue your music
22:42
isn't high if you go with words write a
22:44
book maybe it'll pop all the people
22:46
don't compare me to are 10 years older
22:47
than me they are getting married no
22:49
vacationing a lot this is all the [ __ ] I
22:51
do shouting for my school so many things
22:53
until I swallowed up my youth sliding
22:55
candle topper tables bottom of them too
22:57
candles all across the room felt like we
22:59
were doing Hanukkah for two what's new I
23:01
was [ __ ] her in La was in love with
23:03
her now I'm done with her I'm about to
23:05
go on tour I might buy your ass a ticket
23:07
just to show the true depiction of a
23:09
young winner and a superstar that don't
23:11
[ __ ] with her back in tickets before
23:13
just stacking written as if it was
23:14
ammunition for Wars you rappers sitting
23:16
indoors just to solve a problem after I
23:18
put chalk around do a mathematician for
23:20
sure homie brought it in but he's
23:22
stashing [ __ ] in his shorts told him
23:23
rapping in a sock let it cash I hit in
23:25
my drawers the best part of being corny
23:27
you gotta be to having [ __ ] on Forest
23:29
and half a million of tourists and
23:30
having divided floors grabbing [ __ ] out
23:32
for it packing [ __ ] for resorts active
23:34
listener scores massive intro support
23:36
backup website Port sports cars without
23:38
knowing like half a [ __ ] about sports my
23:41
[ __ ] wanna see fabricating the floor
23:42
she keep reaching for the belt like she
23:44
got a son who had to finish his chores I
23:46
had it since I was born open mics with
23:48
the homies for three people I had to
23:50
really perform he rapper that has a
23:52
really maturity blamers the crease on me
23:53
hates a disease on me I'm right about
23:55
the pain my teens cause me mom's taking
23:57
money off all the Family Feud she must
23:59
relate to Steve Harvey they waving the
24:01
fee on me on the house like they gutter
24:03
that rank your release off they get
24:04
someone to move I got a suitcase up with
24:06
three lobbies I'm always losing my chain
24:08
but the peace on me all they got flow
24:10
biters I'm calling out Ghost Riders like
24:12
a Nicki for heading on team cardi tell
24:14
my landlord I'm breaking the lead sorry
24:16
I'm about to hit 40 cities they paying
24:17
to see my body they sway you gotta chase
24:20
the beat on coming up with Boston on my
24:21
back so today's a tea party High School
24:24
celebrity okay if I'm tardy on videos
24:26
for [ __ ] like I'm training iCarly I'm
24:28
back doing what I do best purchasing
24:31
single service wrinkle that mean I'm not
24:32
impressed I look like Dewey from Malcolm
24:34
in the middle I guess it makes sense
24:36
I've always been a young associate they
24:38
told me that I move my fingers just like
24:39
it's to rest but Mama worked a later
24:41
shift to get money for rent and you
24:43
learn how to be clever with your fingers
24:44
when you're the only one in the crib
24:46
available to tuck you to bed come on I'm
24:48
backed up in the files I didn't do [ __ ]
24:50
this year was surpass some of my idols
24:52
and track mode through their titles take
24:53
them out of class that ass just like a
24:55
child then that's something like Michael
24:56
it's ironic how they still act up when
24:58
I'm viral they call me out but I'm
25:00
always the last one who they die on used
25:02
to be cool but I knew it would be bad
25:03
blood when a pile like my [ __ ] wants
25:05
you backed up on a cycle don't have me
25:08
in a trial my rap sheet is a pal don't
25:10
crack even a smile a brat she getting
25:12
too wild half sleep for a while she got
25:14
more white [ __ ] than a child Liga McLeod
25:16
probably wish they had me with a Bible
25:18
cause I got a clean image but I'm never
25:20
good at keeping a mile raps really get
25:22
vile look at how my train of thought
25:24
brought me to train a thought and tag
25:25
team in this style but I'm off it I'm
25:28
modest yeah quarter million checks for
25:30
the dude inside it off manager bought a
25:32
coupe but he too insightful to Flying
25:34
and one person young as we do this like
25:36
me be honest
25:37
[ __ ] that bring them here and I'll flame
25:39
them you're lucky I'm focused on making
25:41
albums hope this way for the outcome
25:43
soaking blankets from round one token
25:45
making the house run only whether your
25:46
spouse come local rappers trying to hit
25:49
my ax figure they can't get a futuristic
25:51
closest thing to get they know they
25:53
won't get money so they're hoping for
25:54
respect all press is good pressing that
25:56
you show you get impressed having a
25:59
whipping is moving around like it's
26:00
doing the wheelie luggage all over the
26:01
trunk is so heavy the front of the cars
26:02
on the air like a frisbee you're
26:04
spending your life with a woman you're
26:05
barely in love with if I wanna [ __ ] with
26:06
a woman I'll tell her I'll never be
26:07
lying it's probably why they go with me
26:09
now I'm popping my [ __ ] I can ride my
26:11
bus couple my bus been profiting since
26:13
promise I will be a fan Eagle dog but
26:15
all of your [ __ ] is a lesser version of
26:17
what Kendrick and Cole already did [ __ ]
26:19
I've been going hard I'm the only star
26:21
from the [ __ ] [ __ ] stole her heart cause
26:23
I load the cart with the wish list
26:24
Noah's Arkham to bro it's hard to the
26:26
big ship load the car with my [ __ ]
26:28
bitching a [ __ ] [ __ ] then on my heart
26:30
so they happy it's my turn I'm Tony
26:32
Stark [ __ ] everything I turn I troll a
26:35
lot so they wonder why I'm respected
26:37
still you do what you want if I don't
26:39
know where the hall is having a skill
26:39
better be real none of my family ever
26:41
but chill I get arrested I never
26:42
appealed I find it funny they said I was
26:44
trying to deal cause we have to work out
26:46
a deal because I was trying to deal then
26:48
I went and got a deal without even
26:49
trying for Deals they say I look like
26:51
someone in the NBA my dad was moving
26:52
court to court so I guess the shit's in
26:54
my veins she caught me talking she don't
26:56
know what's my real name ironic see you
26:58
only know me for Benjamins that's okay I
27:00
don't do nfts but I will invest in my
27:02
name non-fungible talking worth a lot in
27:04
this game Sorry that was corny I'm
27:06
[ __ ] with you I sway Eminem on this
27:08
[ __ ] I ain't running from what they say
27:09
they used to call me trap but I didn't
27:11
know it was hate I thought they're only
27:12
talking about the Paris in my ring I
27:15
used to get clowned cause of my weight
27:16
that [ __ ] really hurt when I was eight
27:18
but I'm no longer eight I grew up a
27:20
little bit and I'm a shape I don't got a
27:21
six pack but I packed six in a bank six
27:23
figures haven't seen a million one place
27:25
but I made 401k before a 401k if I
27:28
repeat myself no it ain't because I'm
27:30
high it's cause I'm generous y'all
27:31
deserve to hear it two times locally
27:33
that girl is famous because she was mine
27:35
she said that she hate me I don't see
27:37
the reason why I used to be my parent
27:38
now is trying to cut the line told about
27:40
tickets stop pretending he my God I do
27:42
plenty of good work love for Benny The
27:44
Butcher he told me we got a lock wrote
27:46
azato We asked 10 like culture I packed
27:49
here but I told him like Trump up no
27:50
flatbread but I cut that bread I'm no
27:52
head but I [ __ ] your head up
27:54
black bands in a cut like fresh blood
27:56
don't have friends I don't trust new
27:57
crap though but I have rap for the ones
27:58
who bless this one too closer I fled for
28:01
the ones who pose her at rest with a gun
28:03
like holster ask that cause I just take
28:04
over actress who I jump right over gave
28:06
access to the bus like chauffeur only
28:08
half rest in a buck like soldiers no
28:09
accent but her tongue is cultured look a
28:12
lot has changed since I was last year
28:13
sway my sister was on pills I didn't
28:15
know I was just rapping sway my pops had
28:17
a heart attack he was in debt for me I
28:19
wrote a rap and said he could have died
28:21
and I feel like I manifested it but I
28:23
gotta restock on the merch clothes I let
28:25
them all say what they want I feel like
28:26
Elon to them dirty hoes I'm the peak
28:28
blog to the editors cheap Rock to the
28:30
Peddlers Steve Jobs for the cellulars
28:32
big stock for The Meta verse folks all
28:34
over the world find my 16's hot like a
28:36
predator said they climbing up green
28:37
like Jack and the Beanstalk but they
28:39
never were got as much green as the East
28:41
Coast Treetop on December 1st all of my
28:43
OG homies they say peace God but do
28:45
devil's work we look alike but he is not
28:47
my crop he don't respect the genre so
28:49
the genre don't respect him so he's
28:51
genre my versus Legos how they still
28:53
connected blocked luck never fronted
28:56
like something I'm not it's on me it's
28:59
all T I know they gonna switch on me
29:00
cause I see how they did Pete when he
29:02
was dating Ariana Grande I was at her
29:04
cribs he told me that my Instagram need
29:06
to work if I wanna be big really get in
29:08
my strong suit I don't like wearing
29:09
costumes kept delaying my album plenty
29:11
fans that I forgot you major label [ __ ]
29:14
I wish it got released faster finally my
29:16
album dropped and dad dropped the week
29:18
after
29:19
I didn't know where not one side one
29:21
footprint I'm trying to find what is
29:23
God's lesson in this [ __ ] they
29:25
wonder why I went quiet here's the full
29:27
[ __ ] I waited over a year for my first
29:29
major labor album to come out I just
29:31
wanted to make y'all proud see the
29:33
evolution about a couple days after I'm
29:35
mad yeah that's my favorite artist of
29:37
all time I'm in his studio in L.A just
29:39
trying to impress him write something he
29:41
could say if I'm so much more important
29:43
than me promoting my tape realized I had
29:45
to move to LA to really begin and I
29:47
didn't want to be finished with that
29:49
girl but it was red I'm moving across
29:51
the country that's my dream and I'm
29:52
hungry wasn't about the fame it wasn't
29:54
about the money my manager on the phone
29:56
like what are you gonna promote my
29:58
mama's on my phone like your father had
30:00
a stroke
30:01
and one month it was lose my girl lose
30:04
my dad lose my friends and family Mass
30:07
album was a risk so I lost the fans it
30:09
was something different from what they
30:10
used to understand hard enough for crazy
30:12
when you feel everything's lost it's
30:14
[ __ ] up when you're missing a girl
30:15
more than your pops I gotta get myself a
30:18
little Grace if I wanna deal and if this
30:20
didn't stop me then what the [ __ ] will
30:22
all I ever wanted was told you to say
30:24
I'm Ill started with a learning disorder
30:26
look what I built daddy wanted to be a
30:29
singer that was his aim I see the bigger
30:31
picture I'm carrying him off stage I
30:33
didn't even [ __ ] with my daddy's Daddy
30:35
and mother it took a death in a family
30:36
for me to say I love her
30:39
sister closer than ever I'm climbing out
30:41
of this [ __ ] and I'm turning out to be
30:43
better just work around with a member
30:45
I'm learning how to be clever [ __ ] the
30:47
recital shower still dirty now I'm over
30:48
ever she wondering my sign a second
30:50
divorced and I tell her I told to leave
30:52
bruh 24th of September I'll press record
30:54
and I'm clever I left the corpse on the
30:56
stretcher went to tour in December I
30:58
kept it warm in the sweatshirt and he
31:00
ported myself to the metal fork and my
31:02
dresser to mix it around with ironically
31:04
ions think I play any sport but I
31:06
measured my credit score it's a record
31:07
24 for the sweatshirt spending more for
31:09
the texture rest assur imma text her she
31:12
give me paragraphs and I'll read them I
31:13
give all them [ __ ] K like I'm a
31:15
Jenner I'm in Europe and they playing
31:17
pickets better I'm leaving here or
31:19

31:20

31:22
call you Heath Ledger now go name
31:24

31:25
foreign this man spilled his heart on
31:28

31:30
heart on this mic today with you
31:32
spilling water
31:34
he's a hyena
31:37
broke my headphones I don't know what
31:40
I'm saying it's okay token say his name
31:43
token pink is better that's the name of
31:45
the album yes sir damn bro wow come on
31:48
man that was crazy hey you know what's
31:50
crazy is is
31:53
is we were taxing each other back and
31:55
forth and I said let's make history
31:57
again
31:59
I feel like we did we made history like
32:01
we did that was impressive brother you
32:03
know it was crazy to actually watch you
32:06
with the freestyle I I normally when I'm
32:09
looking at people do these freestyles
32:10
I'm kind of just listening to what the
32:12
lyrics are but with you you actually
32:15
painted a picture like it was a movie
32:17
like I was actually watching a movie the
32:20
way you you rode the beat you change
32:22
your Cadence which I thought was insane
32:24
and then like the movie was coming to a
32:26
climax on to the second to last beat
32:28
yeah you got so dramatic like the here's
32:31
the thing the beat was dramatic and then
32:34
the story you were telling was emotional
32:36
and dramatic and it was like you knew
32:39
when the crescendo of the music was
32:41
happening you immediately switch your
32:43
Cadence to match the music and the beat
32:46
and the energy and then you just
32:47
switched them Rhymes I had never seen
32:50
that before and I say that oh hardly
32:52
yeah it was a movie you did a movie
32:54
movie today epic people need to watch
32:57
the video I don't know how the audience
32:59
was how they listened to it but audience
33:02
you got to go back and watch it it was a
33:04
production hold up Drew when you gonna
33:06
get this done man
33:08
okay as long as you're an actor I
33:11
thought you were acting in a movie like
33:14
that was I've never seen that I don't
33:16
even hype people up like this this way
33:17
to make more than one comment yeah I
33:20
used to say oh that was good it was good
33:22
even commenting Levi would get that guy
33:25
my brother leave the eye up here quick
33:27
man appreciate it man thank you oh man
33:30
and he's an emcee man and he got and
33:32

33:34
him are not doing something with this uh
33:36
we got to get him a jacket
33:39
is it just hey yo yo the way you was
33:43
catching Pockets like I'm saying I
33:44
wasn't even expecting you to catch some
33:46
of them the way you were like you know
33:46
saying with a beat got quiet there's no
33:48
base you came and you just grabbed it
33:50
I never seen nobody do that that's like
33:51
the equivalent with way throughout the
33:53
oop for brown you know what I'm saying
33:54
like that that famous poster we say the
33:56
same thing but it was to yourself like
33:57
off the board it was crazy right I'm
33:59
saying I really like that thank you yeah
