At approximately 4:05 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived on the scene after receiving reports of the water main break. The break resulted in a sinkhole that directly impacted two vehicles on Beverly Boulevard, causing significant buckling near the edge of the road. By 4:20 a.m., according to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, nearby homeless encampments were being flooded due to the water main break. Los Angeles Department of Water and Power personnel arrived on scene at approximately 4:30 a.m. to manage the situation.
