Authorities said a man barricaded himself inside the bank with several people, prompting a large-scale police operation and the evacuation of nearby buildings. Bakersfield Police Sgt. Eric Celedon said one hostage had been released during negotiations and that the remaining hostages were reported to be in good condition. The FBI, emergency medical teams and crisis negotiators were deployed to the scene as authorities continued efforts to resolve the incident.
