The fire broke out at 1.47 p.m. on Aug. 21 in the 15000 block of Clover Valley Road. Aerial firefighting operations were deployed as crews worked to contain the blaze. An individual contacted near the fire in Alta Sierra was detained, taken into custody and booked into the Nevada County jail on an arson charge in connection with the Clover Fire, according to CAL FIRE’s Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit.
