According to the Aurora Police Department, heavy rain, hail and flash flooding created hazardous conditions across the city after a powerful storm swept through the area. Police said the woman was driving to work when her vehicle entered floodwaters near East 6th Avenue and Sable Boulevard and became stranded. Bodycam footage showed officers wading through a mix of floodwater and hail to reach the vehicle before safely helping the driver out. The footage showed the vehicle partially submerged in floodwater and surrounded by accumulated hail as officers escorted the woman to safety. Police said she was unharmed and was later given a ride home following the rescue.
