VARIOUS OF PROTESTERS WITH THEIR CHILDREN LONDON, UK - AUG. 27, 2026: Parents gathered in the British capital, London, on Thursday, Aug. 27, to protest rising childcare costs, inadequate parental leave and a lack of support in the workplace. Responding to a call by the "Parent Strike" movement, protesters gathered at Trafalgar Square before marching with strollers and banners along The Mall to the historic Old Admiralty Building, which houses the Department for Business and Trade. The crowd called on the government to improve working conditions for families and introduce urgent legal reforms.
