Deir ez-Zur, Syria - August 29, 2026 Sections of a Turkish military bridge reportedly arrived overnight in Al-Mayadin, eastern Deir ez-Zor, ahead of assembly to provide a crossing between the two banks of the Euphrates River. Local reports said the temporary bridge is intended to ease transportation difficulties for residents, particularly as water levels in the Euphrates continue to rise.
