Davor Vidovic of the office told local media that firefighters were continuing to tackle the blazes, most of which had been brought under control. More than 3,500 hectares have been destroyed by a wildfire that has been burning in the Deliblato Sands region since Aug. 5. Authorities warned that the risk of further fires remained high due to the heat and drought.
