The service, held at the Conservative Baptist Church in Kenscoff, honored Arnold Jean Jacques, Eudrace Jean Jacques, Drasson Jean Jacques, and Patricia Metellus—four of at least 47 people killed during the overnight assault between August 23 and 24. The deadly raid in the mountainous farming community targeted homes and shelters housing displaced civilians, marking one of the deadliest recent escalations in gang violence surrounding the capital.
