Philippines: 384, 527 FAMILIES IN THE PHILIPPINES AFFECTED NATIONWIDE DUE TO BAD WEATHER.

Bicol, Philippines - August 11, 2026 384,000 families across the Philippines have been affected by bad weather, according to Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian. Gatchalian said a total of 384,527 families in 2,070 barangays have been affected by the weather conditions. There are currently 624 evacuation centers open across the country, with more than 16,000 families having evacuated to the facilities. The weather has also damaged 367 houses, including 27 that were totally damaged and 240 that sustained partial damage.
