The lingering monsoon effects, compounded with the intensifying tropical storm Saudel that is expected to turn into a typhoon, have recently brought humongous rains to the Philippines, causing widespread, serious flooding in multiple areas across 10 different regions, including those on Central Luzon. As a result, tens of thousands of people across the Southeast Asian country have been displaced or evacuated to safety.
