WOUNDED PATIENT BEING TRANSPORTED ON STRETCHER TO AMBULANCE FOR TRANSFER TO ANOTHER FACILITYGAZA CITY, PALESTINE - JUNE 13, 2026: A municipal worker was killed and several people were injured when an Israeli strike hit the Abu Asi area southwest of the Bureij refugee camp on Saturday, June 13. The worker was employed at a waste disposal site in the area at the time of the strike. The wounded were taken to Al-Awda Hospital for treatment, while the body of the deceased was transferred to the same facility. Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on Oct. 8, 2023, about 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 173,000 others wounded, while widespread destruction has affected 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.
